Why doesn't PC have a default theme? I was thinking about it today, pretty much every site I visit has a theme that can easily be recognisable. PC has loads of themes but they always chance, why is that?

Could you elaborate on your definition of a 'set theme?'

EDIT: If by that you mean a default style, there is one, it's just changed around every once in awhile.

I think he means one that's like "Oh, that's PokeCommunity!" rather than "Oh, PokeCommunity is using Forever Standing today!" One that's a... trademark, for lack of a better word, that's the default style. Or something along the lines? Like how you go on Facebook or Google or YouTube (or Serebii!) and know immediately where you're on. We don't really have something like that here.

Yeah sorry I couldn't think of the name.
You don't seem to understand I know there is a default, there has to be, but what I'm saying is these default themes have nothing in common. I don't know the best way to word it, why isn't there like a default theme that's always the default?

Yeah exactly, every site I can think of does that, apart from PC. There is nothing wrong with changing but I just don't understand why not. I think it'd just be nice to have a theme that everyone can relate to, but at the same time everyone can still change.

I think what Ben wants is a default theme instead of changing every now and then?

The way I see it, it's what makes us unique. There's really no need for a trademark theme, is there? Hell, you can even call the fact that we don't have a default theme a trademark. Just my 2 cents.

Honestly I think as long as there's the site logo, slogan & title clearly shown on every page then the actual content of the theme shouldn't really matter. It won't matter to new users as they won't know of any prior "trademark themes" to compare against whilst joining and it won't matter it older members since they'll already be here and giving them the option to customise how their forum looks is a wonderful thing to be able to do. Of course there are some benefits to having a "trademark theme" but as long as the title & slogan are there I think the ability to customise how it looks probably outweighs them. I'm not sure if you're proposing we introduce one or if you're just curious why we don't have one, but that's my view on it :)
