If you were able to go to seven different cities/countries in seven weeks where would you go?

    I would go to:

    1. Hong Kong, due to the fact almost all my close friends have been and they say it is marvelous with all the food imaginable.
    2. I would then want to go to Singapore because of its shopping and cuisine too.
    3. New York is a place I have always wanted to go. I am a city person and New York is a dream place I want to go to. I was considering moving there to study for a few years too.
    4. Paris for obvious reasons. It has great scenery and culture with awesome land marks.
    5. London because... it is world famous city with great shopping and people with cool accents. I wouldn't mind back packpacking through Scotland and England either.
    6. Figi because I love the beach and after my grandparents went there I really want to. The people there are great from what I have seen from the videos they brought back and they have a fantastic culture.
    7. Lucky last would be Tanzania for an African Safari. I really want to go on an African Safari as I have a great interest in the animals there.

    1. Akihabara, Japan. Since I'm a pretty big otaku, I think I'd be able to enjoy myself there.
    2. Forbidden City, China. I'm interested in Chinese culture and visiting the FC and other ancient places and/or temples would be pretty cool.
    3. South Africa, Africa. I'm a big nature lover, I've always wanted to see the Great White Sharks off the South African coast leap out of the water.
    4. Serengeti Plains, Africa. Like what I said above, I'm a big nature lover, I'd love to see the great migration.
    5. Borneo. It's ecosystem is marvelous. One of the only places in the world humans have hardly touched. New species are discovered daily there.
    6. Tokyo, Japan. Some of my dads friends live there, and what they say it's pretty awesome.
    7. Barcelona, Spain. Cousin lives there, and says the cuisine is excellent and so are the sights.

    1. New York City, U.S.A. - Simply because I believe it's a place that everyone should go at least once... And I haven't yet.
    2. London, England - For the atmosphere mostly... It seems like a nice, rainy place.
    3. Ajaccio, France (Corsica) - Birthplace of Napoleon = Epic Win.
    4. Nanning, P.R.C. - Seems like a very beautiful place... Also, I'd like to visit somewhere in China at least once.
    5. Seoul, South Korea - Like the above, I'd like to visit Korea at least once, and Seoul seems like a pretty awesome city.
    6. Kyoto, Japan - One of the major cities of Japan I've never been to... I've heard it's very beautiful there.
    7. Sapporo, Japan - Same as above.

It depends on where exactly in the world I want to go.

    East and Southeast Asia
    1. Tokyo, Japan
    2. Seoul, South Korea
    3. Taipei, Republic of China
    4. Manila, Philippines
    5. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
    6. Bangkok, Thailand
    7. Singapore

    Central and Eastern Europe
    1. Amsterdam, Netherlands
    2. Berlin, Germany
    3. Vienna, Austria
    4. Prague, Czech Republic
    5. Budapest, Hungary
    6. Warsaw, Poland
    7. Bucharest, Romania

    Hmmm..

    • New York, USA. I love metropolises and New York is probably the most famous one. I'm actually going to LA this summer, so I figured I wouldn't count that one on this list. So apart from LA, the next city I'd want to visit in the USA is New York.
    • Amsterdam, Holland. Well, I'll just say it outright: I wanna go there for the pot smoking liberalities. But other than that, Amsterdam seems beautiful and I've always wanted to visit Holland.
    • Barcelona, Spain. All these beautiful ladies in a beautiful country where everyone speaks the true language of love.
    • Berlin, Germany. I sort of just wanna go to a lot of places in Europe. I'd love to add Germany to that list.
    • Copenhagen, Denmark. Since a few years ago, I've really wanted to go to Denmark for some reason, despite its ridiculously cold weather, hahaha.
    • Gothenburg, Sweden. The Scandinavian countries have such distinct cultural influences in their architecture. I'd love to go to Gothenburg and I was even thinking about doing a 1-year project in Gothenburg. Moving there without knowing anyone, and maybe just hardly knowing the language. I'd have to stay there for a full year no matter what, and see what I want to do after a year has passed.
    • Hong Kong, China. Yeah, kinda doesn't fit with the rest of my list, but Hong Kong just goes along with those metropolises I want to see.

    1. San Francisco because I used to live there, and I want to re-see the sights.
    2. New York, because I can't remember exactly when I last visited it, and I want to see the sights in general
    3. Paris, for the Eiffel Tower and authentic French food
    4. London, for Big Ben
    5. Japan, for its technology
    6. Hong Kong, for its cuisine
    7. Egypt, for the pyramids

Just so you know, Japan and Egypt aren't cities...

1 Paramaribo, Suriname. My parent are from Suriname, and, even though I've never been there, I sure would go there one day.
2 Malaga, Spain. I got some family living there, and I love the annual fair there end August.
3 Los Angeles, United States. I never been out of Europe, I've always dreamed of going to the states
4 Singapore. I really dunno why, but I want to go there.
5 Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. CARNAVAL!!!
6 Venice, Italy. I must go here at least once before he city sinks.
7 San Juan, Puerto Rico. Because I love Reggaeton

Oh, boy: this is going to make me sound ridiculously touristy.

    • Start off in Sydney, because I need to see Australia at some point and Sydney has a lot more going on than Melbourne, which is nice but with less famous stuff.
    • After that, Hong Kong beckons: metropolises always do it for me, and to see so much life in amongst the hustle and bustle of the Chinese urban jungle would be so exciting.
    • It's off to Tokyo, for similar reasons to Sydney only replace 'Australia' with 'Japan' and 'Melbourne' with 'Kyoto'
    • Then a quick 13-hour flight to New York City. I've been here before, but only got to do about a third of the things I wanted to. Central Park still needs exploring, not to mention all the museums and art galleries.
    • Across the Atlantic to Barcelona. So. Much. Culture. All the Gaudi stuff and the churches and so much more to soak in.
    • A quick boat ride across the Med to Venice. Less for seeing specific things, but the general atmosphere as well as the chance to go in a nice gondola. (I've been punting in Cambridge, but imagine a Venetian gondola to be quite a different experience!)
    • Finally, this amazing sojourn ends in Berlin. Mainly for the all its recent history and the legacy that it has left behind for the Western world.

it took me so long to finish typing this post the forum assumed I signed off... >_>

    I love cities :D

    1. Florence, Italy. I'm an art nerd and I adore the paintings and sculptures that came out of the Renaissance so I would probably cry if I got to go to Italy :) I mean, the city itself is full of so much history and not to mention I could run around the city pretending i'm in assassin's creed and it's really pretty. My best friend is moving back to Italy so i'm gonna try and visit him when he goes so I have a few reasons for going.

    2. Tokyo, Japan. Oh what a shocker on this forum, right? I would love to go there just because it's a vastly different culture than America's and it would really fun to experience it. Plus, I love Japanese food so I'd spend a lot of time eating stuff and trying new foods. Finally, the anime/manga nerd in me would have a lot of fun getting all the books I like and seeing the art there too.

    3. Santorini, Greece. I think Greece is such a beautiful country and having some mediterranean roots in me, I also find the food to be fantastic :)

    4. Rome, Italy. I'm currently in a western civ class so I understand how important of a location Rome is historically and Italian food? Yes, please. The first thing I'll do when I get to Rome is see the Sistine Chapel.

    5. Istanbul, Turkey. Again, the mediterranean in me wants to go to this city, I love the culture and the food and I want to see that gigantic mosque.

    6. Oslo, Norway. I'm part norwegian and I know next to nothing about Norwegian culture :| so this would be a shout out to my heritage.

    7. Shanghai, China. I would go to see both the city and then travel out and see the mountains.

I like how my responses got shorter and shorter for each one as I got lazy typing :x but my cities are chosen mainly under this criteria: history, food, and culture.

    1. Udinese, Italy
    2. Prague, Czech Republic
    3. Kyiv, Ukraine
    4. Dortmund, Germany
    5. Paris, France
    6. Amsterdam, Netherlands
    7. Brussels, Belgium

Those cities are just a handful of a long compiled my-travel list. There is a plethora of cities I would like to visit someday.

    1. Tokyo, Japan - Pokémon Centreeeee ♥
    2. Rome, Italy - art!
    3. Paris, France - ...more art!
    4. London, England - I just want to go to England
    5. Berlin, Germany - I have family there and would love to see it.
    6. Melbourne, Australia - I just want to go to Australia, don't care where, and I think I have more friends living here D:
    7. Orlando, USA - ..............................I just want to go to Disney World again.

I don't know if I can pick specifically a city. Maybe some places in the States, I just want to visit a city for.

But, otherwise... I'd really rather just hop around a country for a month so. I did that when I went to France. A week in Paris. A week along the Côte d'Azur ("home base" being in Juan-les-Pins). A couple of days in Disneyland Paris. And in between all that driving to a bunch of small towns and villages a long the way for a week.

One city is one perspective and probably the most tourist-friendly. At the moment I'd rather tour countries.

Once I've seen more countries, and thus more cities, I could pinpoint those I'd want to visit again. But I can't really say right now.

Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan... an otaku's paradise :)
Pineville, North Carolina, USA... a great mall and Quality Suites hotel are there.
Fort Mill, South Carolina, USA... Just because :P
Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA... Been there before, very nice town.
Charleston, South Carolina, USA... It's been awhile and I like the history of the town.
England and Sweden as part of my European tour just so I get in a bit of culture xD

    1. Sydney, Australia- I've never been to Australia plus most of my friends are Australians.
    2. Lausanne, Switzerland- Skiing, chocolate and more chocolate~! 8D
    3. Florida, USA- My best friend is from Florida. :D
    4. Tokyo, Japan- Shopping and Pokemon. :3
    5. Hokkaido, Japan- My mom's from Hokkaido, plus my grandparents lives there. X3
    6. Paris- Shopping~
    7. London- My older sister used to work there.

I would say: Japan at Tokyo rounding out at one; Berkeley, California (I need to visit my potential U) at number two; Paris, France for trois; New York City, USA for four hurrray; Auckland, New Zealand for five. xD

Congrats! This is Poll of the Week!

    *sticks*

    One day I'll actually post in this thread. ^^;

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia - It's not really the city I want to see as much as the landscape. A friend of mine went there on a crazy school trip thing and said it was beautiful.
Shanghai, China - Different friend was there for a while and really liked it. I want to see it for myself.
Sapporo, Japan - I would like to see a lot more of Japan, but if I could only go one place there it would be here. It's like home. I miss it. :(
London, England - Might as well since that's where everyone else is going.
Geneva, Switzerland - Seems like a nifty place.
Melbourne, Australia - I'd like to go to Australia and this seems like the place to go to.
South Pole Station, Antarctica - So I can say I've been there. I know it's not a city, but it's the closest thing Antarctica has. :p

    1. New York City, New York. From the sewers to the streets, the glitz to the ghetto, Manhattan to Brooklyn, there is always something interesting there.
    2. Miami, Florida. There is never any disappointment there. The high skyscrapers, the beaches, the condos, the celebs, there is never anything nasty.
    3. Los Angeles, California. Same reason, 'cept with more sights to see.
    4. Dubai, UAE. One reason: the Burj Khalifa.
    5. Berlin, Nevada. Any ghost town really, the worn out desertification is pure awesomeness to me.
    6. Las Vegas, Nevada. Casinos, glitz, and luxury hotels makes for a perfect hideout in the middle of the desert.
    7. Albuquerque, New Mexico. I live here currently, the rural areas, the glitz in Downtown, the urbanized, and the metropolitan, nothing can beat this. Also has the most historical landmarks I've seen anywhere.
