So, did you ever explore these islands? Did you think they were a good addition, or something they could have left out? Did you explore every island thoroughly, or just breeze through all of them?

So many RSE threads, here, FRLG needs some love ♥

I got to explore all of them a couple times, and tried to explore every bit of them as possible. Speaking as someone who dislikes Kanto as a region, their addition definitely made Kanto more interesting and made for decent post-game content. That being said, I wasn't too fond of the fact that I needed to register 60 Pokemon in my Pokedex in order to gain access to Four Island and later. Thinking about it now, it isn't too tedious to get 60 Pokemon in-game, so I'd say it's a reasonable requirement. Anyway, I liked them and hoped they would be included in HGSS as well, so I was a tad disappointed when they weren't.

I haven't played through them in a long time, but I remember them being pretty good. If nothing else, they're a decent opportunity to find some Johto Pokemon, and they have the FRLG version of the Daycare and Battle Tower, so they're always worth checking out.

These were among few of my favorite places to visit in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. When I first arrived in each new island at first, though, I didn't spend much time exploring, and just did all quests that were in them. When I was done, then I began to look through each places in and out. I would've liked it better if Sevii Islands were part of actual story, however, and not something hidden there for post-game only. Oh well; I suppose it's better than nothing!

I think the islands were a great addition, that "extra" to do after you've beaten the Elite 4. I think they're the most interesting areas to explore for catching pokemon, since you get a chance to catch pokes you normally wouldn't get without trading.

I love these islands for sure, but I wish there were just a *little* more out of region pokes to find. It is very satisfying catching a Larvitar though :D.
