Hey guys, happy to see there is a place for drawings and art galleries on the Forum as well!

I just made a recent drawing of a scene from Pokemon Emerald, partially to celebrate the upcoming ORAS games. I have seen this somewhere one time, and as soon as I saw this image I just wanted to draw it myself :) (with some slight differences added to this). This took me 3 hours but I just love to draw pretty much almost anything - often in pencil (especially Pokemon) ;)

I will add more in the future in here, since I have college I won't have much time to draw sometimes, but I will do my best. Enjoy! ^_^

Ahw you're too kind, thanks! :) I just really love to put time in these drawings and using my own drawing-styles, that makes it more special to me! I'm sure when you try you can make something awesome yourself too! ^_^

Man colored pencils are fun, aren't they? Haven't touched them in ages myself but I used to use them constantly. You seem to handle them with great control and subtlety. Your lines are clean, and aside from a few spots here and there (particularly on the Charizards and one of Gyarados' segments, your sense of form is solid. Good work, keep it up! :3

Your art is very nice. The lines are clean and the colouring is soft and pleasing on the eye.

I'd love to see something drawn by you, however. Sure, your art looks great, but it'll be even great if you drew something rather than tracing or using references of certain Pokémon. Keep up the good work. ;)

Haha, usually I enforce a rule about posting at minimum three pieces, but it looks like you beat me to the punch! You're gallery is in the clear.

I.. agree. All of these images, though spectacular as they are, all stem from another well established piece. Using references and finding inspiration from another artist's work is a good thing; encouraged. But the way you rely on Sugimori's style to illustrate is, well, it's not you! And the thing is, your coloring and line work is so strong. You're an accomplished artist already and you've got unbelievable talent when it comes to using a pen, I feel as though your raw talent is lost when you're trying to duplicate Sugimori's work.

I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong; because you're not. The important thing is that you have fun and explore and learn new things. But as an observer, I don't want to see Sugimori's art anymore. I don't want to see Dream World art or cover box art or TCG art. I want to see your art. Work that extends from your own interpretations of how Groudon and Kyogre combat, and roots from your own emotions tied to the first time you Mega Evolved your Charizard. That's something that only you can do and god knows you have the talent to do it!

So keep it up, alright? Keep working and keep posting. :)

Oops took a while to see that you guys commented here (I dont get notifications or anything of people post in here weirdly enough).

Anyway thanks for the comments everyone :3 It's not like I dont draw or paint stuff myself, but I'm studying abroad currently, in another country than my own, so I don't have my "tools" with me for drawing I would have at home (like more variety in coloured pencils or professional ones, yet alone my drawing books which are filled with stuff that's only drawn by me ;) ). Right now, I just liked to draw stuff of images I see around and when I like them, I wanted to draw them myself as well :3 I happen to like Sugimori's art a lot, so I'm kinda in a fase right now where I want to experience his style some more (lol).

So for the time being, I can try find scans of my own artwork, and when I get home I can upload more of that, but as it is now; I can't get a hold of them since I won't be at home now for like... 6 months since I am studying abroad...
I feel kinda limited now because I only have 10 different coloured pencils with me, usually I spend half a day to draw something of myself with a huge variety of materials, which I don't have right now ;) So that's why I limit my work like this, but, still fun to redraw images I like, personally

These look amazing! You're really talented. Your last drawing is really good, I dislike the animé eyes, but that's nothing more than personal preference, as they're still drawn very well! You really make some amazing drawings.

Hey thanks a lot! :3 Well, yeah they turned out maybe too much anime-like (also regarding my preference), but this was my first so I'm still experimenting with this ;P Thanks for your feedback anyway :D
