[Pokémon] ~>{*Shiny Hunters Club}<~

It'll be nice to start over the ShinyDex. The old one was pretty much complete, so it didn't have much of a point anymore. And I like the new rule that you have to be an active member for your shinies to count, cuz there were a lot of people who told us what shinies they had, then left. Then there were those people who said stuff like "I have 5000 shinies!!" then listed all the legendaries....

And I take it we're NOT counting G/S/C???
 
Well... I don't know what the rules are on GSC right now.

My personal oppinion is that we should allow GSC, but no bred shinies and no clones. In GSC you get a shiny every 20 eggs you hatch if one of the parrents were shinies (I think its 20... ) . This way, someone with one shiny in GSC could easily obtain many shinies, kind of defeating the purpose of shiny hunting. Same with clones - if you cloned an eevee or tyrouge then evolved it into another pokemon.

I?ve hatched over 100 Electrike eggs anyways...
And reset for 900+ times for Drat(3 at a time.so...900x3=2700! O_O)

Maybe I?ll continue the hatching after I finish Mach?s training... ^_^
 
Your shinies will get updated into the dex anyway, as you have posted in the last week and therefor are an active member. The rule is 30 posts and/or have a post in the thread in the last week.

Oh, and just in case you didn't know, an egg has its values set before it is hatched. So if you save right before it hatches, and hatch it over and over, it will always hatch as the same pokemon (same nature, same EVs, if it wasn't shiny then it will never be, if it was then it will awayls be).

Yeah, in GSC shinieness could be bred, and (my numbers may not be 100% correct) it was 5% chance. Plus the red gyarados, and plus duplicatio pokemon.

HOWEVER, people who catch a pokemon in GSC still caught it and could have worked just as much toward it, so I say we should allow GSC, just not the duplicated/bred/red gyarados pokemon.
 
Maybe we could make seperate Dexes... ^_^

I've crossed out those who I have added to the dex so far. If everyone else on the list (and off for that matter) could post your shinies it would be helpful. I will continue to update the dex as I find shinies, but it will take much longer.

The 2nd dex idea could be useful, but I couldn't fit it in my post, and Aaryn isn't here to modify the first or the third... So it would end up going later in the thread. I don't really see a problem with adding the GSC pokemon to the normal dex, provided they aren't cloned/red gyarados/bread.

And you forgot the Shiny Ditto trick! -_-;;;

Where you need the Shiny Gyara...Delete all its moves but one...

Trade it to R/B...Teach it Mimic...Trade it back to G/S/C...Delete the non-mimic move...

Trade it back to R/B...And fight a Ditto...Use Mimic to learn Transform...Let it Transform it into ya...You Transform back and then catch it and trade back to G/S/C!

I got one that way! ^_^
 
i wont be on much as my computers busted its slow o.0 anyway sgm my shineys can be seen in my sig update on ditto still no luck i've stopped looking for now because im hooked to the legend of zelda the minish cap ill hunt some more tonight and tomorrow during maths

i just remembered that i restarted my fire red so i'm only at lavender -.- buy i will try to find some shinies around there.... or i will just go on ruby :S
 
Holy... wow... this thread is finaly moving again. SGM is like... I dunno <insert some form of a returning prophet>. We've had a long standing policy against GSC shinies because of how easy they are to obtain. Though, if we want to count wild shinies from GSC, I guess that's fair... But I dunno... it's never good to go back on your word. Well, it can be, but only if you were grossly wrong about something.
