3rd Gen Shiny Pokemon Discussion

I seriously doubt it, the only reason your cousin has so many shinies is because he has played for 800 hours and is extremely lucky, BTW you can't find shiny larvitar's in rock tunnel, you can only find it at Seavault Canyon.

Anyway, back on track: I got my first shiny, Woot!, it's a staryu! although he has the crappest nature and IVs, ahwell, atleast I got one!

cool! my pikachu cant lvl or get any EXP. and he is lvl 45. WEIRD!! why is that? it didnt gain eny exp :S

I am one of those People who only get starters/Pokemon the same gender as the player. Once, when trying to get a female Torchic, I saw a male sign so I turned it off to reset. BUT THE MILLISECOND BEFORE THE POWER CLICKED OFF, I saw the shiny stars float around the male Torchic...

I nearly cried. :(

well i got a new shiny in my leaf green and it was eevee i traded it to my emerald to clone for d/p and evolved the original into shiny vaporeon.

also i started my leaf green over and am sring for shiny bulbasaur so wish me luck

well i got another shiny and it is a cyndaquil in my emerald

i was originally sring for shiny totodile about three months ago but then i gave up and went and did other stuff until last friday when i decided to sr for shiny cyndaquil and then after about 20 sr i got a red one and i am so proud yay

keep trying at it i did about 10000 sr for shiny eevee and then i finally got it i also been sring for shiny regirock since august and it is now april you do the math

These are all the Shinies I ever caught in the Advanced games:

-Red Zigzagoon
-........(same color to my memory) Banette
-Black Golbat (TWO in the same file)
-Blue-back Numel (now evolved into Black Camerupt, and the only shiny I currently own)

I ran round in circles on island 1, went to the safari zone paid got in walked out paid aagain and again when i was in the 3rd time i flew to the pokemon centre next to rock tunnel went in rock tunnel and all i found is zubats and geodude.

you probably didnt play for long enough. it works for my qouzin ALL the time. and, like i said, you may do that method and then go to PP (power plant) and THEN do the save turn off thing. it improves your chances by like 25 or something. do NOT believe peranoia. he probably hasnt even tried it so he doesnt know. thats just noobish. he doesnt know what hes doing anyway. there IS a way to improve your chances of a shiny. no offence vegeta, but you dont have much pacience lol. my bro did it with rayquaza in his ruby. the island was the trainer tower. practically, you could use lots of methods to improve your chance of shinys. this way is my method is all. and it works so cool! earlier today i found a shiny lickituonge, as it always works and as peranoia is wrong. i caught it ofcourse! it was weak as :[ but, atleast i am beating peranoia now! in ur face lol! i am looking for a shny beldum or bagon in my ruby, as i am doing the same methid in it. i am looking for a shiny abra in my leafgreen. it all has to do with patience.

That is because it doesnt work. What you are saying is totally false and i think you either 1 used an outside device or 2 you are just lying.

i think i might give up on shiny bulbasaur because i just want to hunt other shinys on my leaf green so i will most likly give up sooner or later. So that means that SFF you won that race. But head my warning just because i gave up on Bulbasaur does not mean i wont go back to it lol.

Dude your a noob, and probably 12 years old, who is too immature to accept that it has been known for sometime now that there is no legitimate way of improving a chance of finding a shiny, the only cheating way is AR or GS, and even then they screw up the game sometimes. But what's funny is your "cousin's" process takes hours right? But I would have never guessed that the chance that finding shineys is meant to take hours.

Also, I have tried getting a shiny Uber, and I got one, It's called Mewtwo, and that's the only way to get it, Soft Reset infront of it until it's shiny.

What I reckon is that your cousin just told you a make up way, because you would believe anything.

Also, I find it hard to believe you found a shiny Lickitung, as they are only obtained through a trade.

I agree with you until the bolded part, and heres why. Lickitung is a breedable pokemon, so it is possible that he may have one. Do I believe him anyway? NO! So it is possible to get a shiny Likitung just that i dont believe him one bit.
