You're absolutely correct, Paranoia. However, Shiny Legendaries found out when the shinyness for Entei/Suicune/Raikou are set. They are set when you fix the Network Machine. That means you can save right before fixing the machine, and you can go out to find them. If they're not shiny, soft reset. If they are...well, I'd be infintely jealou sof you. I plan on trying it out sometime...

I didn't know that, I thought it was determined exactly as you start a new game, ahwell, Ltr_17. If you have saved after you fixed the network machine, you'll never get a shiny, bad luck to you

And to make sure that I am not off topic: I got another shiny, a green chansey with the pokeradar in pearl, it was awesome!

An easier way to get shinys iz to have a whole party of staryus/starmies with the illuminate ability. Also, on my silver i caught a shiny hoothoot(just like the show!), and on my ruby i had a shiny aggron.

Actually in the show it was a shiny Noctowl

i've been hunting shiny raiku for 5 1/2 weeks now, and i've been thinking, if i should switch back to n¡doro/nidorin male and just catch raiku normal, or keep on shiny hunting raiku. what should i do??

ok, ok! i'm just a litle short tempered is all, (more like alot) im not fighting with you, but i should, cuz sometimes they run around the whole land after you find them once, don't they? if i can't, then noooo!! well, atleast i still hae an old FR (an old, OLD old game, got it about 5 years ago) and he doesnt have a raiku or seen one, so i have a chance no matter what either way, and if i never get one at all, i could just hunt for a shiny nidorino/nidoran male ^^

oh, and i didn't fix the "network machine" whatever that is, what is it?

Since this thread is for GBA shinies, i'll comply.

In my Ruby, I managed to get a Level 49 Shiny Mawile in Sky Pillar. I was real happy when I got it. Ironically, some time before that I accidentally fled from a shiny Lairon in Victory Road (yes, I noticed that it seems like everyone playing RSE gets their shinies there).

In my Sapphire, I was searching for a Chimecho atop Mt. Pyre when suddenly a red Duskull came up. Oooh, shiny! I transferred both (Duskull as Dusclops) into my first Emerald, but the cartridge was stolen! WAAAAH!

Currently, I'm searching for a Shining Rayquaza in Emerald. I'm also aiming for a Shining Johto starter when I fill up my Hoenn dex. :D

I think I've been pretty lucky in my emerald so far, because I've found two shinies in it, while I have found none on my other Pokémon games :)
My first was about 30 minutes into gameplay, while walking in the grass just south of Odale Town, I happened to find a LV. 3 Shiny Poochyena! (now a LV. 53 Shiny Mightyena)
My second was after the scene where Rayquaza flew in and stopped Kyogre and Groudon's battle. I decided to travel back to the Sky Pillar and try my luck at catching him. When I got up to the top, he turned out to be a shiny too! (now a LV. 70 Shiny Rayquaza) :D
I didn't want to accidently defeat him in battle however, because if I turned the game off and back on I doubted he would be shiny again... So I... threw my Masterball! :shocked:
Now it's going to be a bit more difficult to catch that Latias... :(

oh, and i didn't fix the "network machine" whatever that is, what is it?

The Network Machine is the huge machine in One Island's Pokémon Center, just walk in and turn right, you can't really miss it... lol
You need to help repair the Network machine if you want to be able to complete the Pokédex (because you can only obtain the original 150 otherwise...), and to be able to trade with the R/S/E Pokémon games.

No, reporting someone when they're breaking the rules means you're doing what you should be. Having bad typing skills while trying to insult someone in a discussion is what makes you look like an immature child.

Anyway...after just finding my shiny Geodude earlier this week I found a shiny Mightyena today in my Emerald. Didn't have anything weak enough to fight it or any "high-grade" pokeballs, though, so I had to let it go :( .

Reporting someone is hardly childish, sure if they go and post "im reportin u 4 braken da rules" (when the post, is in fact, not breaking the rules), yeah, that's childish, but not reporting people for breaking the rules is even worse. What if someone were to post porn? Would reporting that be considered childish? or would you rather see some innocent children come across it? Hmmm?

Oh, and since obviously this is "offtopic". I caught a shiny Wurmple in Petalburg Woods, it is now a Dustox, happy?

The only siny I have is a Blaziken, which was a shiny torchic when I started sapphire for some reason. Other than that, the only other shiny I've owned is Gayrados, but EVERYONE has owned that at one point or another. I haven't found another shiny. I wanted a shiny Rayquaza, but got sick of soft resetting and gave up.

I've never seen a shiny starter pkmn before... :P
Nor have I ever owned a Shiny Gyarados! (with the exception of the G/S/C games of course...) I want a SHiny Gyarados on my emerald version :)

no, i am not happy, thanks to you. i have my reckoning and you have yours. and our "heads" have nothing to do with this. it's a wonder you're a moderator :\ :disappoin anyway, you may ban me all you want for all i care. I do not always pic fights with people, and I never picked a fight with you. I've never actually had a fight with you; that was my brother impersonating me, and I even told you that. I have absolutely no doubt that you got all the fire starters shiny, congrats on that. But this is a different matter.

First of all, I only call people liars when there is evidence that they are lying. You know as well as I do that you can put a Pokemon sleep after you paralyze them. Why the hell would he NOT be paying attention when he's battling a shiny? Wait, don't answer that, I will answer it for you: HE WOULD BE PAYING ATTENTION. Even if he wasn't paying attention, the Z's would have come up out of the Voltorb to signal that it was asleep AND there would be a SLP mark next to its name. I'm sorry, but things like that just can't go unnoticed. I will, however, acknowledge the fact that his Pikachu could've gotten a critical hit with Thunderbolt, which he confused for paralyzation and quickly switched to Ivysaur to use Sleep Powder. I honestly don't believe that is the case. I believe he his a liar. Is there anything wrong with that? If so, why don't you just put me on your ignore list? That way you won't have to listen to me weed out the liars of this thread.

Furthermore, who in the world do you think you are, telling me what not to do. This user posted a pretty fishy story of his shiny capture. It is a story that cannot happen in the game. Therefore, one can assume that he had a bad memory or he is lying, or he cheated for it. Having a bad memory is unlikely when it has to do with a shiny, and even then, he claimed to have "just" gotten it. Lying or cheating were the only possible things he could of done, and I chose the former. Why? Because it's so much easier to lie over the internet than to waste your time cheating. You know this, right?

Good job at telling me that you're going to report me. Let me ask you something, what does that solve? Absolutely nothing. It only creates animosity between us. Telling me that you are going to warn me was a truly asinine thing to do. It just shows how ignorant and ineffective you are at solving conflicts.

not really. millions of people play pokemon across the globe, and the chance is 1 in 8000 or whatever, so it's pretty possible.

lol, around 125 shinies in the whole world, and i have 5... seriosly, i'm pretty lucky to have that amount of shinies, don't you think? and, with over 1,000 different countries, and about 15that play pokemon, i must have one of the most amount of shinies to exist, and over a quarter of that amount in the 15 countries don't even have 1 shiny. I'm pretty lucky. so you're 50% correct, some people are super lucky and some people aren't lucky at all.
