4th Gen Shiny Pokemon in HGSS

[Golurks Were Meant to Fly]

Well once I started my shiny quest on Heartgold, I got quite a few shinies in quick succession

-Totodile form NewBark on February 15th - my join date ;) (SR)
-Abra from the Goldenrod Game Corner (one or two weeks later? Maybe less) (SR)
-Eevee from Bill two days after Abra (SR)
-Beedrill in the National Park during the BCC sometime later (RE)

But then I tried to get a slugma by breeding, and that took SO long that I got impatient and HG is sitting in my bedroom slightly unused lol

I caught a shiny Pidgey on my quest to find entei and right now im trying to get Shiny Lugia but in platinum i have over 35 shinies and i am willing to trade some of them

The only shiny I have besides the red gyrados (which I don't count since the game gives it to you) is a shiny Charizard I had to soft reset 4833 times for! Oh, but it was worth it!! :D

I found a shiny Pidgey that I accidently killed because I was multitasking and didnt notice it was shiny until it fainted ;_; But yeah, other than that no.

Never once saw one in HeartGold. I only just recently saw one for the first time outside of Matsuda breeding, but that was 5th Gen...

I actually have had one shiny, in Pearl but i got it from a friend, also i've seen one shiny Zubat in Pokémon Platinum while escorting some girl. She had Kadabra, i had Gabite i tried to kill the Kadabra with my Gabite before it could kill the shiny Zubat but it was just too fast. ;______;

Soft-resetted for a Shiny Bulbasaur. But other than that I haven't caught a Shiny Pokemon in my Soul Silver. Such a shame too since Silver was the first game that I found one.

I found a shiny Rattata in Mt. Mortar in my HeartGold version! I named it Fang because I'm so great with nicknames. :> I almost lost it, too, because I delete my save file to start a new game so I can do a nuzlocke; luckily, I decided to check my PC for anything I may want to save. It's now safe and sound in my Platinum version. c:

In HG alone I found 2. Ponyta up on Mount Silver when I was training and Hoppip my first go in the Safari Zone like place. Caught both of them. Because even if you don't want,you can always trade them later on.

Sadly i never encountered a shiny in HG/SS except the shiny Pichu event.

How frequently do you see Shiny Pokemon in HGSS? Do you catch them straight away or do you catch certian shinies? At the moment, none for me :(, but im not giving up.

I'm sorry.. WHAT?! If I encountered a Shiny DITTO or DUNSPARCE of all things, I would put it on my team.. just because of the rarity.

The only shiny I found on my HGSS games was a female Mr.Mime which I soft reseted for. Other than that, nope, none. Been playing for around 130hours total and no other shinies though.

I caught a Shiny Larvitar the other day and its one of my frequently used Pokemon. It had 31 IVs to boot.

After that, I haven't found much. Luck's toying with me.

But I'm a shiny hunter myself and it's what got me back playing pokemon in the first place. I personally like shinies for their rarity, and hunting them is a fun hobby if you're patient enough. Started hunting in SS and got really lucky and found shiny Cyndaquil in only 18 resets, and got lucky again and got shiny Eevee after a long hunt of 9401 resets. Right now I'm looking for shiny Skarmory in SS and I'm at 6363 random encounters. Hoping to get lucky soon!

Once, in a previous play of SoulSilver, I found a shiny Tangela and I caught him. I named him Shine. I gave it to my brother later in exchange for a Growlithe mainly because I didn't know it was shiny. I'd never seen a Tangela before.

Once I saw a shiny Tentacool and a shiny Quagsire in Route 27 on the same day.
Out of my friends, I'm the one who has met more shinies and I managed to catch all of them. I guess I'm lucky.

I don't know if I have any shiny Pokemon off SS, but I do have a shiny Chikorita obtained via soft-resetting on HG. X) My first shiny was on Diamond and was a Bidoof...
