  • Astinus, you are awesome; I owe you one. Thank you for the lovely post! <3

don't forget accordshipping (movie 10) that's like, as official as it gets. It's actually kind of annoying how the writers can't really throw in many officially canon shippings, i've seen a grand total of.... one. which is accordshipping.

Oh yeah, that's right! Thanks for reminding me. Some other officially canon ships are Norman x Caroline, Flint x [Brock's stepmom, her name escapes me at the moment], Butler x Diane, and the many oneshot couples out there. :3

But yeah, it is a real shame that none of the main characters really get into romance. Contestshipping's the only one I can think of. Meanwhile with the other shippings, it's a lot harder to prove who likes who. With Misty, it's a little difficult to know whether she still likes Ash at this point. I personally think that she let go of him, accepting their friendship. I guess this sort of relates to the quote, "When you really love something [or in this case someone], you let them go; if it loves you in return, then it'll come to you". Or something close to that. xD

  • You're not the only one with screenshots. A fellow altoshipper I know made a comparison picture. If you zoom in real close, you can clearly see bianca's GREEN eyes. https://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2708/deathtomareshippingpc2.png

see what happens when I get the ball rolling on altoshippoing's defense? I never shut up.

I see a very poor quality image that does not give proof of Bianca's so-called green eyes. If it's not poor quality, all I can say that the view is not enough to clearly see what Bianca's eye color is really like on that picture. Maybe the person who took that screenshot was to afraid to zoom in to Bianca's face? ;D And oh yeah, sometimes eye color can change depending on the light it is faced at, so don't forget that fact too...

I think it's also the fact that Mirmax made the movie too dark... as to compared to the Japanese version... I'll try downloading the Jap version soon (I want screenshots of Bianca too since she's one of my favorites) and see what comes out...

Anyways, back on the topic, I only see romance on the Pokemon series when the people involved are already married... like Norman and Caroline... as for the main cast, I highly doubt the writers and animators plan on making something big when it comes to romantic fluff...

Anyway. I haven't COMEPLETLY abandoned Advanceshipping, I just couldn't see coming that Pearlshipping could be more Kawaiiiiieeee... But still, I'm both. Plus, when I think back of my noobish with Advanceshipping, you may think an Alien or Michael Jackason replaced me with a drone. And the reason I'm os against Pokeshipping are some I posted eralier as well as an immature past with a spice of a Rival called eevee/Eve At Pokedream and SHE was damn hardcore Pokesh. You can support a shipping because it's cute although it's not a good enough reason for that ship to happen.

So basically you were a n00b at advanceshipping, and now that Dawn is in the group you find it Kawaii for her to be paired up with ash? I'm sorry to say that you have failed again to make any point. I don't care if you hate pokeshipping, what I do care about is why you like Pearlshipping and think it has more potential than Advance or Poke shipping? Because saying that couple is so 'Kawaii' makes no point.

Let me remind you that this is a debate. You have to prove what you're saying. So basically, you have an extremely poor reasoning when it comes to debating. Perhaps the title of this thread hasn't been completely absorbed into you. You're not proving anything by saying Advanceshipping/Pearlshipping is cute. Like others have told you, you have to support what you're saying with details. [Have you been taught this at school or simply didn't pay attention?]

And so what if the girl was hardcore? Just because one person you met is like that doesn't mean that you should put your hate onto Pokeshipping. I've gone against tons of people like that but I don't go around complaining about them in every debate; that's just childish. And your Michael Jackson inferences have no relation to shipping, so please do not mention him; have respect for others who do like him.

Oh god, you're also not making any sense either. This is a debate, not what you think is cute/kawaii thread. And don't be immature about Pokeshipping. I may dislike Advanceshipping along with some other shippings, but at least act civilized. I don't go "EWWWW ADVANCESHIPPING I HATE IT" like you guys are doing. If you both can't handle a debate, then you should both go rant elsewhere.

  • How the F**K do you define "cute" in terms of Pokemon Shippings? I have no idea why that's why I don't like a Pokemon Shipping just because it's cute... but anyway...

Pokeshipping = I love it because they'd always try to deny stuffs that Brock and/or Tracy suspect between the two. I love it because before I used to be an insensitive person. But now... it helped develop my sensitive side towards other things. I think that Pokeshipping has more potential than Advanceshipping or Pearlshipping because even if it's more on one sided, Misty has done a lot for Ash not to forget her. (Not a very good reason but at least I stated a reason on why I think it has better potential)

    Pokeshipping= I HATE IT GRRRRRR....

    Advanceshipping= I HATE IT GRRRRRR.... J/K. :)

A FAIL reason to hate us. And don't go hating us just because you met a hardcore Pokeshipper. I've seen some hardcore anti-pokeshippers before but I never hated the shipping they support.

And it's not our fault if she was.

  • I'm not going to hate anyone because his/her oppinion is different to mine and I will not say that I hate any kind of shipping without bringing any reason for this.
When you read the last three pages of this thread you can come to the oppinion that we pokeshippers are the onlyone who can bring up normal points for our way of thinking in this debate. Never read any good reason for Pearl- or Advanceshipping.

precisely. yet, if you look carefully (meaning, actually look and not just skim over it before claiming it to be faked) you notice that in bright stinkin' daylight, Bianca's eyes don't match Latias' eyes in the dark, OR the light.

Poor quality my foot. It looks just fine on MY computer. but then, i did just get a brand-new monitor... but whatever. The author who made the image did, in fact, point out that if you look closely you can see the greenish-brown color on the bianca side, and the gold on the latias. not to mention it looks exactly the same as when i play the movie on my 360 w/ HDTV. And the same, albeit the entire thing is brighter, on the jap version i have on here.

i know what i'm talking about. do not assume i'm some kind of moron.

  • Wow I have missed a lot since I've get to live in the OT section. ^^;
Pokeshipping.-I personally think it's how you look at it. There are things that point to it, but things against it. I hate to say it... but it is starting to grow on me again. But... Ash is so dense... I don't see him with anyone. ^^;, but this is a possibility.
But much to popular belief, it isn't cannon. D: I hate how people believe that they REALLY got together in the show. Don't people know by now that no one is together officially in this series?

Advanceshipping: I personally see NOTHING pointing to this. Nothing at all. I see more pointing to Ash+a rock than this. But I'm also into Contestshipping. I see so much potential in it.

Pearlshipping-Is cute, kawaii, however you want to put it. Put to me, as much as I love pearlshipping, to be honest, it kind of points like Dawn having unrequited love for Ash, and Ash just having a good bond with her. But I also see this as a possibility.

My favorite is Palletshipping. XD I think it is omega kawaii and lots of things point to it... but I also support your straight shippings. XD

But I have to agree with Kasu-Chan. This is a debate. And right now, I have nothing to debate. I just thought I would throw my views out there and maybe someone with some intelligence will debate me.

    Sorry I know nothing about the Bianca thing to even think about debating it. ^^;

Yeah, I know! People on this forum will believe anything, and I mean anything. xD

But I'm also into Contestshipping. I see so much potential in it.

Shall we go against the Advanceshippers with Contestshipping, then? I'm sure that will spice this thread up, seeing how May's making her grand return at last.

    • Get the Show on the Road
After Ash destroys May's bicycle accidentally, she angrily goes to tell him off while he is resting in the Pokémon Center. As she quietly opens the door, she watches Ash and Pikachu resting contently together, and she forgives him without telling him. Later on, May figuratively talks Ash into letting her travel with him. Once he says she could come along, May strikes a pose by the camera and yells "YES!" to show her enthusiasm to the audience. This coupled with the previous scene where she secretly spies on him and forgives him for his kindness with Pikachu, shows that May perhaps be taking a liking toward him.
    • A Ruin with a View
Ash decides to become May's mentor for the very first time, teaching her how to capture and battle with Pokémon. The two have dinner together in a Pokémon Center, and when Ash wants to find out about the Petalburg Gym leader, May frantically pulls him by the arm to prevent him from finding out. It would appear that she was far more content with traveling with Ash alone before revisiting her family.
    • Stairway to Devon
When Ash and May discover that a Team Aqua intruder is in the building and Max could be in potential danger, she clasps her hands and asks Ash for reassurance and support. Once Ash comforts her, she is relieved. This is the first of many scenes where May continually looks toward Ash for support and reassurance, further expanding on the mentor/student dynamic.
    • Brave the Wave
On Dewford Island, May decides to strip into a bikini right on the beach. However, instead of just running down to the shore to take a swim, she purposely poses in her bikini in front of Ash and her brother and asks what they think. Ash appears to be embarrassed by the situation.
    • Win, Lose or Drew!
After witnessing May lose her first Pokémon Contest, Ash takes the blame for her loss. He says, "It's my fault. I wish I'd spent more time with May, teaching her." Later, May is crying backstage as Ash tries unsuccessfully to cheer her up.
    • All Torkoal, No Play!
While May is clutching Torchic in her arms, the ground underneath her collapses and she falls into a chasm. Luckily, she grabs ahold of a branch that was sticking out of the wall. When May frantically calls for help, Ash steps up to rescue her. He tied a rope around his body as Max and Brock lower him down, where he grabs ahold of May's arm and reassures her that everything will be alright. Further expanding on the heroism, where May thanks Ash dearly for saving her life.
    • Go Go Ludicolo
When confronted by Max whether she wants Ash to win over her Dad, NormanPetalburg Gym, May gives flustered responses. While Max is quick to make up his mind and cheer for his father, May on the other hand sides with Ash. Max yells, "What, how can you want Ash to win over our Dad?" to which May blushes nervously and says, "Well I want Dad to win... but I don't want Ash to lose!" of the May's choice was made up from the beginning to cheer for Ash over her father, and each time Max confronts her about it, she blushes nervously and doesn't want to give him a clear answer.
    • The Bicker The Better
Considered to be the first episode where AdvanceShipping was made completely blatant to the audience, Ash and May are confronted by Oscar and Andi, a young couple who are obsessed with the idea of love and romance. When Oscar and Andi call Ash and May a "happy couple," the two of them quickly deny it and turn their backs to one another, crossing their arms. Ash says sarcastically, "That's a laugh!" and May adds, "Hardy har har!" Oscar and Andi do not stop there, and continue to call them a couple. Ash and May scream, "We're not a couple!" in unison, with the same body language, followed by, "And we're not happy either!" in the same tone. As the episode pours on, Ash and May continue to argue and bicker back and forth, presumably to get their minds off the idea of being called a couple by Oscar and Andi. After a team up battle against Jessie and James at the end, Ash and May sincerely forgive each other for their argument, and deeply apologize as they stare at each other while the sunset closes behind them.
    • Grass Hysteria
When May is lost in the forbidden land of the Grass Pokémon, Ash once again steps in to save her. After his Tarzan-esque entrance to save May from the fierce and threatening Grass Pokémon that were about to attack her, he grabs her by the hand and runs with her to clear a path to safety. Ash and May continue to hold hands as they are running away from the menacing Pokémon, a rare sight between them.
    • Hokey Poké Balls
This episode further brings up the parallelism between Ash and May, by having their two Bulbasaur meet each other. However, the two Bulbasaur show signs of liking one another, a ship that is called VineShipping. Throughout the episode, May makes several comments about how their Bulbasaur are such a great team, and how they are, "Two peas in a Poképod." Before Ash sends Bulbasaur back to Oak, it pats May's Bulbasaur on the head sweetly with its vine, saying goodbye. May's Bulbasaur is impressed as Ash's Bulbasaur is sent back. Vineshipping is one of the parallels that is used to push Advanceshipping, as canon characters such as Professor Oak and Brock have said in the past that Pokémon represent the feelings of their masters, and when two Pokémon fall in love, there is a good chance the trainers will too. While the Bulbasaur haven't fallen in love with each other yet, it is the first step in their parallel romance.
    • Cruisin' for a Losin'
May is sulking on a bench outside the Contest hall because she lost her match. Ash comes alone to comfort her, cheering her up compassionately while patting her Bulbasaur on the head and sitting next to her on the bench. This is followed by a, "Thank you Ash," from May.
    • A Scare to Remember
Pikachu developed amnesia and joined Team Rocket. He ended up shocking Ash. The second time it happened, May covered her face in possible concern for Ash.
    • The Scuffle of Legends
When Ash is about to hop on top of Dragonite and go with Lance to save Pikachu from its bonding with the blue orb and Groudon, May approaches Ash and says, "Don't do anything crazy Ash," in a sweet and very concerned tone.
    • Once in a Mawile
In another love-themed episode, Ash is confused about the concept of love. May teases him and says, "Spoken like a maaaaaan," in the dub while she says, "And he doesn't get it," in the original raw. As the episode continues, Ash says, "No sense in going out of your way just to make somebody like you," in which May responds, "And he still acts like a man," in the dub while in the raw, "And he reeeaaaally doesn't get it." This is the second episode where May teases Ash about love.
    • Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snorunt
May holds onto Ash's hat while he is lost with Snorunt in a blizzard. May holds onto his hat during the entire search, frantically hoping to find him again, which is seen as a romantic gesture. Once they meet up again, she says, "I believe this is yours!" and kindly hands Ash back his hat.
    • Date Expectations
As May is about to be crushed by a Donphan using Rollout attack, Ash launches his body toward May and brings her to safety. The two fall down to the ground with his arm around her torso. This is the third time Ash has saved May from danger. In the middle of the episode, Ash and May are separated from the group. May does her expedition routine and thinks about the concept of being lost with Ash in the woods forever. This idea causes her to have little red blushes on her cheeks. During the last act of the episode, May misses her chance to catch the ferry to her final Contest. In despair, she starts to cry. Sensing her pain, Ash puts his hands on her shoulders and stares at her deeply in the eyes, giving her the courage to go on while he takes care of her little brother. This is the first time in the series that Ash had ever put his hands on a girl in such a serious and compassionate manner.

    Battle Frontier saga

    • The Right Place and the Right Mime
May decides that she wants to continue traveling with Ash after Hoenn ends, which compels her to travel from the Hoenn region on her own to meet up with Ash in Pallet Town. This was before she found out there were Contests in Kanto, so she decided that she wanted to be by Ash's side even if it meant not continuing her coordinator dream for the time being. Ash and May share a scene on the couch together, where Ash asks her if she wants to come along with him through Kanto. May of course agrees, while Delia is watching them converse, and blushes due to how close the two are. Meanwhile, May decides to leave her Bulbasaur with Ash's Bulbasaur at the lab, further following up with the concept of Vineshipping over 50 episodes ago. The two Bulbasaur again show signs of liking one another, which could be used to push Advanceshipping in the future.
    • Fear Factor Phony!
When May hears sounds of scary Ghost Pokémon, she frantically goes to Ash and tries to wake him up in his sleeping bag. She presses her hands desperately against his chest to wake him up, yet she didn't do the same for Brock, who could have come to her aid just as easily. A further example of May choosing Ash over anyone else when she is in fear or doubt.
    • On Olden Pond
As Ash is fishing, the line is being pulled into the water. To prevent him from going overboard, May quickly wraps her arms around his torso and presses her chest against his back. Ash puts on a flabbergasted expression as he feels May's chest pressed up against his back.
    • Off the Unbeaten Path
May falls off a rope bridge and clutches for her life. Once again she cries out for Ash several times, despite the fact that Brock is standing with Ash as well. Ash calls out May's name as he pulls her to safety, but not once does May give any gratitude toward Brock for saving her, only Ash (this does not occur in the English dub, however). In the English dub Ash calls out only May's name but Max was there too.
    • Harley Rides Again
James says to Ash that they were helping his girl (May) in the contest.

    Movies

    • Jirachi Wish Maker
One of the nights when May folded a tab on the wishing star, she afterward looked down to Ash who was at that time; skipping rocks across a river. The camera then goes back to May, which she has a very anxious look on her face. Because of this scene, many Advanceshippers believe that May's wish had something to do with Ash (though this was never confirmed).
    • Destiny Deoxys
Ash tries to pick a fight with Tory Lund. In order to stop him, May throws her body on top of Ash and tells him to please stop. She places her hands on his shoulders and desperately tries to convince him to calm down. Ash is surprised with her action, and quickly says, "Sure."
    • Lucario and the Mystery of Mew
Ash once again loses his cool and is mad at Lucario. May quickly rushes down into the lake where Ash is standing and clutches to his arm, trying to prevent him from getting himself in trouble. May holds onto him frantically until the situation is resolved. Afterward, May follows Ash around "mothering" him, telling him to get himself dry before he catches a cold.
    • Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea
As Ash and May go swimming with Manaphy, they continuously shoot glances at each other and smile. This is accompanied by a school of Luvdisc, Pokémon thought to symbolize love. Later when they were in the submarine, May was crying up against the submarines window because she thought she had driven away Manaphy. The camera shoots a moment over to Ash who has a deeply concerned look. When the Sea Temple was being flooded with water, Ash put May, Pikachu, and Manaphy in a capsule left behind by The Phantom, allowing them to survive should his plan to replace the crystal fail. May continued to pray for Ash's safety and was nearly driven to tears when she thought he wouldn't make it back. Manaphy sent May's prayers to Ash, and with these thoughts spurring him on, Ash recovered from his near-drown state and replaced the crystal, saving the Sea Temple. After the Sea Temple is raised and May leaves the capsule, her happiness that the temple is saved is quickly replaced by sadness with the 'knowledge' that Ash didn't return. "It can't be..." she says. "No way..." Her joy returns as soon as Ash flies up out of the water and chases down Phantom and the abducted Manaphy.

    Pokémon

Ash and May have caught several of the same evolutionary lines. Both own a Bulbasaur and a Squirtle, and Ash has caught a Snorlax while May owns a Munchlax. The relationship between their two Bulbasaur has extended to the point where a separate shipping has been named for them, VineShipping. In addition to this, both have owned a fully evolved Bug/Flying Pokémon that evolved from the first Pokémon that they caught, as well as a fully-evolved Fire-type starter Pokémon (Charizard and Blaziken).

  • Oh, Really...

Is THAT Good enough for you?
Also! There is a AdvanceShipping Wiki! https://adv.wikidot.com/ Does Poke or Perl shipping have a Wiki? NO!

Well, I am not sure if there is a pokeshipping wiki site, but here are a few xD pokeshipping hints...

Most other shippers agree that Misty's love for Ash is undeniable. In fact, out of all the major and secondary characters, she is the only one who has made her romantic intentions apparent. This evidence became more prevalent throughout the Orange Season.

    Ash Catches a Pokémon

Ash, willing to continue his journey alone, is followed by Misty. Upon noticing her pursuing him in Viridian Forest, Ash puts her on the spot and asks her, "Why are you still following me?". Misty sweatdrops and unconvincingly stutters back, "M...My bike! I'm holding you responsible for my bike!" in an insincere manner.
Why she is following him is made apparent near the end of the episode where she says "I've never known anyone like him. He really does love Pokémon". She does so in body language befitting that of an infatuated girl. Also, in her statement, it is pretty much implied that she has some sort of interest in knowing Ash, who, at this point, is someone she barely knows.

    Poké Ball Peril

Team Rocket introduces the concept of PokéShipping officially into the anime. Near the end of the episode, with Brock having left Ash and Misty to travel alone, James says "I think we may have captured a pair of romantic creatures in our little cage" after which Jessie swoons and Meowth blurts out, "They're lovebirds!". The idea of Ash and Misty as a couple becomes a sub-theme throughout the subsequent Orange League Season, culminating into events in the 2nd movie. Ash and Misty deny it all.

    The School of Hard Knocks

In this episode, when Ash and Brock fall in love with Giselle, Misty gets mad. Some say that she has jealous because of Ash, but others say that was because of Brock.
    Navel Maneuvers
Danny, the Navel Island Gym Leader, quickly picks up on the nature of Ash and Misty's relationship during one of their arguments and says, "I can see the two of you are pretty close". After Misty asks what he meant by that, he replied, "What's that saying? 'You always hurt the one you love...".

    Wherefore Art Thou, Pokémon

After the Nidoran kiss and evolve, Tracey comments about whether the battle or the kiss made them evolve. The idea of kissing embarrasses Misty and provokes Ash to ask the question, "Do people change when they get kissed?", after which Misty answers to him, "Guess we'll have to find out ourselves..." Earlier in the episode, Tracey compared the interaction between the Nidoran's trainers to the relationship between Misty and Ash (Although both vehemently deny it)

    Misty Meets Her Match

This entire episode alone serves as conclusive evidence that Misty not only likes Ash but possibly has developed a case of young love for him. Rudy, the Trovita Island Gym Leader, has a case of "love at first sight" with Misty after she saves his sister Mahri. After several advances from Rudy, Misty agrees to what is essentially an impromptu date with Rudy, leaving Ash and Tracey to themselves.
According to accounts of the original Japanese version, during the dance after the date, Rudy not only asked Misty to stay on the island, but to marry him. What is significant here is that Misty was actually considering his proposal, evidenced by the fact that she didn't refuse him outright. Throughout Ash's gym battle with Rudy, Misty is clearly torn between deciding which boy meant more to her, finally rooting for Ash in the end as Squirtle is hit by a Thunderbolt from Rudy's Starmie. Rudy, in shock mutters, "She wants him."

    The Power of One

P2K, otherwise known as 'The Power of One', or 'Revelation Lugia' is the conclusion to everything related to Misty's love for Ash in the Orange Season. In this movie, Misty gets competition in the form of Melody, the Festival Maiden of the Legend Ceremony. Melody, upon greeting our heroes, immediately comes up to Ash and plants a kiss on his cheek, provoking a glare of jealousy from Misty. Also, after Melody's performance at the festival party, she quickly kneels in front of Ash and grabs hold of his arm, provoking Misty to gasp and growl again in subdued jealousy.
When Misty openly admits to Melody that Ash is "her burden" and goes off to rescue him in Melody's place, stating that he'll never be alone as he'll always have her, which Melody respects, ( due to the constant debating between her and Misty of Misty liking Ash thoughout the show ).

    The Light Fantastic

When Misty introduces Ash to this ep's Nurse Joy, Joy quickly exclaims, "What a little cutie!", referring to Pikachu on Ash's head. But Misty and Brock mistakenly think she's referring to Ash. Brock is left completely shocked, but Misty not only gets shocked, but quickly develops the same jealous expression she displayed when Melody flirted with Ash.

    The Heartbreak of Brock

After Temaku expresses her thoughts about marriage to Brock, Misty says to Ash, "Someday, we'll be married too." And Ash nods his head without realizing what she had just said. However, that's a dub edit. In the original, Misty said "Looks like she fell for Takeshi (Brock) in first sight."
While giving a pep talk to Brock about pursuing a possible relationship with Temaku, Misty says, "Take it from me, it's a lot easier to like someone who likes you than to like someone who doesn't." Brock then asks her "How do you know?", after which Misty gasps, blushes, then coyly replies "Well that's...what I've heard..." She is not referring to Brock (much to the dismay of GymShippers) since she is openly encouraging Brock to pursue Temaku.

    Love, Pokémon Style

When Macy first invites Ash out to lunch, Misty quickly cuts in between the two and comments that Ash is "booked". Later in the same scene, Macy question's Misty's right to interrupt in Ash's personal affairs when she's not his girlfriend. Misty looks quite unimpressed as Macy continues to flirt with Ash.

    Gotta Catch Ya Later

Editor's note: This episode is currently under debate on the merits of some scenes. Therefore this episode's entry should be considered incomplete.

The departure of Misty from the group is a very emotional affair. After all is said and done, Misty says to herself, "Well, Ash Ketchum, finally, I know how you feel about me".

    A Date With Delcatty

In the original version, Misty initially rejects Georgio because there is "someone else". Taking into account of Misty's evident feelings in the series prior to this episode, it is inferred that Misty was making a reference to Ash.

    Pokémon Live

In this show, Misty yearns to tell her feelings for Ash, but is too afraid to tell him.
    Various songs
Misty's Song is a song from the 2BA MASTER Soundtrack in which Misty sings that she loves Ash. She also says that she wants confess her love to Ash, this one of the strongest pieces of evidence for PokeShipping, though the canonicity of the track is unclear (there's nothing to specifically contradict it, but the song has never been used in the anime). It was written by Ken Cummings and directed by John Loeffler for the 2BA MASTER Soundtrack.
Ash does not have a song for Misty.
On the Pokémon Christmas Bash CD there are two songs that show strong evidence of her feelings towards Ash.
The first song on the CD entitled Pokémon Christmas Bash has the three main characters along with Team Rocket singing about what they want for Christmas. In Misty's stanza she sings " Hey Santa if you're really listenin' My wishlist has only one thing, Just gimme one dance with Ash, At the Pokémon Christmas bash!".
Another song on the CD called Under the Mistletoe has Misty singing about how she wants Ash to know her feeling for him and about how she wants to meet Ash under the misteltoe. On the other hand, Ash is singing about how he hopes to not to be caught under the misteltoe. Near the song's end, after leaving Ash feeling paranoid about the misteltoe, Misty has got Ash under the misteltoe. Ash realizes this, freaks out, and runs off to eat more cookies while leaving Misty wondering what his problem is.
    Ash's
Even PokéShippers will admit that Ash has not shown any overt proof of liking Misty. This reality often provokes shippers opposed to PokéShipping (especially PalletShippers) to question Ash's sexual orientation as well. However, what we do believe is that Ash is capable of liking Misty, and furthermore, that Ash is undeniably heterosexual. This list combines evidence of both those facts.

    School of Hard Knocks
Ash and Brock gawk and blush over a picture of Giselle, the top beginner at Pokémon Tech. Later in this episode when Giselle appears in person, Ash grows big puppy dog eyes, blushes heavily, and comments, "She's real pretty, isn't she?". Much to the dismay of PalletShippers, this proves that Ash is attracted to females. Ash has never shown any definitive attraction to his own sex.

    Ghost of Maiden's Peak:

Our hero does a double take when Misty appears with her hair down and dressed in a formal kimono. Upon seeing her, the camera switches to his perspective, the bubbly background usually associated with passionate moments is used, romantic harp strings are played, and Misty's surprised facial expression clearly shows she is being looked at with interest. Also, the entire theme of the episode was romance-oriented, so it's only logical to assume this scene between Ash and Misty is as well.

    Princess vs. Princess

Ash, thinking Misty is entering the Princess Festival Contest to take a picture with the movie star host, gets a little jealous, groaning with his arms crossed, "You must really want that picture with Fiorello...". Surprisingly, Misty reassures him she's only doing it for the doll set. Ash, whether he's aware of it or not, feels threatened by the presence of another male in Misty's life.

    Navel Maneuvers

Climbing Navel Island's central mountain, Misty tells Danny the gym leader to be extra careful. Seeing how much concern Misty is giving to Danny, Ash with the same jealous expression yells, "What's she so worried about him for?!". He's distracted so much by Misty's little crush on Danny that he loses his concentration and falls down the mountain a bit. Much like his behavior in "Princess vs. Princess", another male getting Misty's attention seems to bother him.

    Jirachi: Wish Maker

On the last day of the comet's showing, Max is disappointed that he will have to part with Jirachi. Ash sits down with him by the river and reassures him that Jirachi will always will be in his heart. Ash tells him, "I had a really good friend, and I miss her every day." Many people would think this would be Misty. However this is in the dub only and can be argued. In the original, he only implies that he had many friends he needed to say goodbye to, not particularly a her.

Buizel Your Way Out of This

In this episode when Ash and the others are fishing Ash uses the special lure Misty made for him, and when Dawn asked if she could use it Ash refused causing them both to argue, but while they were distracted a Buizel came and took their lure's causing Ash to get panicked and with all his determination he planned to get the lure back, once it was returned he seemed very happy and relieved.
    Other hints

For those already convinced about PokéShipping, there do exist events which suggest inconclusively, something along the lines of romance. But the difference between hints and proofs are that proofs are essentially ironclad and undebatable in contemporary debate, whereas hints are quite debatable, and are open to interpretation. The following is a listing of some that are considered to be debatable hints, all of which vary in strength and worth.

    Showdown at Pewter City

Misty is surprisingly eager to start a Pokémon-sharing relationship with Ash in this episode and gets very upset when Ash refuses. Later, while Ash is charging up Pikachu's electric sacs, Misty again offers help to Ash and gets snubbed. She then grumbles and says, "What do I care..." and runs off. Misty somewhat admits by her behavior and dialogue that she's really interested in getting to know him better.

    Clefairy and the Moon Stone

Misty, at the beginning of this episode, continually keeps mentioning how "romantic" the surroundings are. She continues to do this not only in this episode, but subsequent episodes as well.

    The Waterflowers of Cerulean City

At the outskirts of Cerulean City, Misty attempts to dissuade Ash from going into the city by tempting him to go to Vermilion City. She does so by mentioning the "neat Pokémon, the yachts pulling into the harbor, and a spot way up on a hill where you can sit and watch a romantic sunset". The mentioning of a romantic scene subtly suggests what she might have intended for all along, especially with how many times she's talked about romantic things in previous episodes.

    Electric Shock Showdown!

After Nurse Joy breaks up an argument between the two of them, she comments that they say when two people fight, they really care about each other; although Ash and Misty instantly reject the idea, they are both blushing slightly when they turn away from the other.

    The Tower of Terror

When Ash enters the tower alone to try and catch a Ghost Pokémon, and is subsequently briefly separated from his body, Misty is the first one of her and Brock to express concern about how long Ash and Pikachu are taking inside. When Ash hovers beside her in his ghost form, Misty is the only one who can hear him despite Brock standing only a foot or so away from her, potentially hinting at a closer bond between the two. Also, before Ash and Pikachu return to their bodies, Misty is visibly near to tears as she pleads for Ash to wake up, and blushes immensfully when he wakes up and greets her.

    Pokémon Scent-sation!

Misty, unaware that Ash is disguised as a girl among the crowd and using the same girlish demeanor she used in "Ash Catches A Pokémon", dreamily admits to the group, "I wish Ash would've heard that story..." She openly is expressing a desire for Ash's presence.
Also, during Ash's gym battle with Erika, the girls in the crowd start acknowledging Ash's skill and how much more impressive he is than he looks, provoking Misty to smile with reassurance.

    The Legend of Dratini

At the beginning of this episode, Ash is marching and singing. Misty is right behind him and longingly stares at him until they reach the Safari Zone warden's house. After Ash sings out his last lines, Misty imitates his enthusiasm and sings her own lines as well. You know the old saying, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."
Also, later in the episode, when Ash is about to dive in the water to grab the bomb that Team Rocket threw in there, Misty stops him, and says that it is too dangerous. Although this hint is under debate simply because it could be merely her worrying for Ash, ( as a friend would do ), she also sends down her Starmie to save Ash after he is down there for too long. And afterwards, when he comes back up, Misty smiles and is thrilled that he is alive, with a blush apparent.

    March of the Exeggutor Squad

Misty goes into perhaps the most extreme fits of blushing in the history of the series, all provoked by a simple compliment from Ash about her skimpy stage outfit. No one blushes like that out of mere embarrassment. She clearly holds Ash's opinion of her in exclusive priority.

    The Song of Jigglypuff

As Jigglypuff begins singing in the woods, Ash and Brock are standing next to each other while Pikachu and Misty are sitting a couple feet away. After Jigglypuff is done singing, Brock and Pikachu are sprawled out asleep by themselves while Misty and Ash are slumped against each other. It might not have meant anything if the two were already standing by each other, in which case it would have just been convenient, but they weren't. Either they moved into this position because they are very comfortable with each other, or the director(s) might have just thrown this in to plant an idea. It is also interesting to note that when they wake up, Misty comments "what a nice nap."

    The Misty Mermaid

At the end of this episode, Ash tells Misty how amazing she was at her performance of the underwater play. Misty disproportionately calls Ash's comments "sweet talk" and reminds him of the bike he owes her, something she supposedly forgot about back on Cinnabar Island.

    Make Room for Gloom

Upon arriving at the Xanadu Nursery, Brock spies on a pretty girl behind the window, after which Ash comes to look and says he doesn't see a pretty girl. Misty then says, "Just turn around" and giggles, clearly addressing Ash. Ash then jokes about her hallucinating, then starts chuckling.
Ash, finally spotting a Gloom behind the window, asks Brock if "he's getting 'misty' over a gloom," This causes Misty to pull Ash's mouth wide with her fingers and ask him what is he saying about her, mistaking Ash's 'misty' comment with herself. Both seem to be blushing in the midst of their playfulness.

    Forest Grumps

At the beginning of the episode, Ash and Misty are surprisingly close to one another while tending to their Pokémon. Brock on the other hand is away from them asleep behind a tree.
Upon reunion, Ash and Misty exclaim each other's names in joy while the camera focuses on their faces. What's interesting to note is how the scripting and animation seem to focus just on their reunion alone.

The Right Place and the Right Mime

When Ash finally arrives home after his travels in Hoenn, he finds Misty at his house. She makes a point of being there, specifically so that she could see Ash as soon as he arrived back from Hoenn even though she apparently has no idea how soon exactly he would be returning. For all she knew, she could have been expecting a wait spanning multiple weeks.
Azurill is a good excuse to go down there but it does not explain her behavior:
Why did she stay at Ash's mother's house, and not at the Oak labs?
Why was she waiting at Ash's mother's house for days and days for Ash's arrival, especially given that they didn't know exactly how long Ash would take to return?
Why was she so concerned about getting to see Ash as soon as he arrived?
How can her somewhat wistfully delivered line of how Ash is the same as always be explained?
Why couldn't she have simply delayed her trip down there until Ash had already arrived?
    Under the Mistletoe
This song includes hints from both. Ash sings about that he is happy tonight and Misty sings about she knows she will meet her true mistletoe. Later during this song, Misty comments that she and Ash stand under the mistletoe. Also, both sing they want to tell something to St. Nicholas.
