3rd Gen Should I sell my Emerald game? I mean it's a hacked copy anyway......

Well my "friend" way back in the day dared me to clone a Pelliper on the Emerald cartridge and now the battery is busted. Also, I have no way of transferring the 3rd gen 'mons. *sigh* Whatcha think? There's a retro game store 10 minutes by car I could sell it to. They sell a heap load of old hacked Pokemon gba games. So I don't know. Thoughts?

That's not hacking. Cloning isn't the same thing as hacking. The battery being "busted" just means that in-game clock events can no longer occur. But, if you sell your game, delete the save file.

Do you no longer have a Nintendo DS to transfer your Pokémon forward to?

I used to have a regular DS, but it got water damage. I got a 3DS lol but it's not the same thing. Not coughing up money for a regular DS and a 4th gen game...I mean those prices. $_$ Then there's the possibility of getting a hacked gen 4 game...not risking it...or is it worth the risk on second thought? Hmm, I need opinions here.

if you have no interest in playing it again, i say go for it. if it's just gonna collect dust and you don't wanna play, get some money for it. they sell decently. and if it bothers you that you cloned something (which isn't a big deal -- even if you had a ton of pokemon you hacked in, still not a big deal) then just start a new file before you sell it. you don't have to do anything, just start a new game and override the save and boom, no one will know you cloned or hacked. as long as the cartridge is legit and you're not trying to pawn off some fake one, you're good.
