OOC: Oh good, nothing too serious happened while I was gone... >.< My Mom was a little late on paying our cable/Internet bill and we got turned off for the whole weekend. And I swear it turned off right after my last post. I got off and my Mom went to go on and *poof* service was gone. ^^;

Guh... stupid cable people. They're supposed to come to our front door and tell us when they're gonna turn it off, but some great oaf forgot. =/

OMG! Charon, your picture ish so cute!!! XD I love fluffiness too much. ^^ I agree, a snowy background. After all, it's nearing winter time!

Wow! I have new names! =D ... one of them is Malfoy? FWEEE! The 4th Potter movie comes out soon!!! *dies* *is reborn* Although... I'm scared for what got taken out. I really think that book was far too long to fit into a movie. -_-

So, putting them together my name's Eric Malfoy? I'll just say I'm Draco Malfoy's far-removed cousin that's a squib. Boy am I a disgrace to the family name. ^^; Can't so much as complete a beginning Transfiguration spell of turning a teacup into a rat. I think I need a Qwikspell course. O.O

And I shall post my completed picture that Plushie inspired later today! When I get home. Hopefully our Internet is back. >.>

"Wow... I can't play anything like that. If I tried to do it, I'd probably make a horrible sound that would certainly sound nothing like the wonderful music you guys can play," Zachary said, grinning to himself, "My compliments to you and your teachers, or Moms."

He suddenly thought to himself; if his mother knew something like that, maybe she wouldn't have ended up like she did. Oh well... no use dwelling on that.

"You know what? I hope to someday learn something cool like that. Maybe when I have the spare time or something... I've always wanted to learn the acoustic guitar. I like the calming sounds those strings make," he said truthfully, picturing himself holding a guitar, and almost laughing about the silliness of it. Like he would ever have the chance to learn it; it was quite laughable.

Though... maybe someday, he could try.

He wondered if Ron was still seasick in his pokeball. Then he looked down at Luka, who looked even more bored than ever.

"Hey, you doing okay?" he asked the racoon-like pokemon. She didn't answer; though it wasn't the same hatred as before. She wasn't yelling at him or anything, just ignoring him. Zachary took this as a good sign, and didn't push the question any further.

I was feeling very depressed earlier. My friends at school were giving me a tough time, making me choose between them (AGAIN) and then I got home to discover there were hurricanes in Iowa, where my best friend lives. Luckily, so far the only death has been to an 80-year-old.
And... I play the guitar! I'm better on the piano, but I can still strum a decent tune when I set my mind to it.}

Maxie hadn't been paying attention again. Whatever had been said in the last few minutes had gone straight over her head. Fang was snoring in her arms, and Maxie was feeling strangely relaxed.
Normally, every muscle was tensed - but today she was at ease. Maybe it was her new 'friends', but she found herself almost trusting them. Here she was, looking out to sea, not even on guard... it was peculiar.

Maxie finally returned to face the others. "Do you guys know much bout the first gym?" she asked.
 
OOC: Dang, first post on a page again, Melissa? You're on a roll. XD And Ashley...well, it sounds a lot like 'Ash', but that dude's really name is Satoshi so...yay for Ashley! Yes, that shall be the name of my next cross-gender character. ^^

Oh, and before I forget...I've come up with a gym leader! Only that one couldn't be the first because I need that particular gym leader to fullfill a plot purpose that can't yet come to pass. Oh well, I can always come up with another leader. I think I have one in mind actually. Unless someone is dead keen on coming up with another of course. ^^

IC:

Rai smiled at Zachary's comment "You want to learn how to play an instrument?" he asked in confirmation "That's the spirit, music is always good for the soul. I have to say that I'm not very well-versed in the sounds of acoustic guitars myself, but I'm sure you know what you're talking about."

{Acoustic guitars are cool!} Chupon squeaked up excitedly, {I heard one once when some boys were playing outside our house just for the sake of it. Their music rocked!} he grinned {Only...Rai's mum didn't think it did, she had that group chased off right quick. The spoilsport...} the Treecko pouted {But she can't chase Zach away, right?} he added grinning a bit. {Maybe we'll get to hear guitar music again.}

At Maxie's question, Rai shook his head "Not much." he replied "Although I recall mother saying that the gym leader was a weak and hot-headed fool boy." he shrugged "It's more or less what she says about me as well though, so I wouldn't place too much value on her judgement. But he lives in Azure Town..." he added thoughtfully, "Maybe he uses Water or Flying type pok?mon? It's just a guess though..."

Maxie nodded. "I've never been to the Gym there - after all, a sales assistant doesn't have much business in a pokemon gym..." She smiled to herself, and continued to cuddle her little bat. Because he possessed no eyes, it was ahrd to tell whether he was asleep or not. Every now and again, though, he gave a little snorting snore, as if to reassure the others he was actually asleep. "Still, water type sounds about right. I guess that would be a battle for you, eh?" she nodded at Chupon.

Maxie turned to Zach. "Do you play anything?" she asked. "You struck me as the sort of guy that would, y'know? Don't know why..." she trailed off, and returned her gaze to the water.
 
OOC: Erm...it's pronounced ?r-yan. XD Tis' a swedish name and the letter '?' has its own pronounciation which is not like 'U' at all, it's hard to explain, it's more like you have to experience it and I think that letter only exists in swedish, finnish, and norweigan, I'd say that the last part of the pronounciation is right, though. ^^

And who is this 'Alter'? My name is Ashley! XD Nah, j/k. Maybe if I get girly-dared, provided that I ever go to that evil dare thread again, but otherwise I shall still call myself Alter.

"Yeah, I suppose they don't." Rai replied, nodding, "I've only been to one gym myself...didn't have enough pok?mon to mount a challenge, though." he shrugged, "Not that I would have stood a chance, though. They used Ice types over there." he leaned over the railing, gazing in all directions in the hopes of catching a glimpse of something interesting.

Chupon looked up as Maxie adressed him, something which the Treecko was quite unused to, the only human that usually spoke to him was Rai, well, some would fawn of course, but he really didn't consider it speaking to him as those people tended to treat the little gecko as if he was some kind of plush doll, adorable but devoid of any sentience whatsoever.

{Me? Taking on a gym?} he asked, his eyes widening and his hearing perking up as if he couldn't believe his ears {You really think so?} the Treecko smiled at the thought of being useful to his trainer for once.

"Of course you can." Rai said, stroking the little gecko's head, "Maybe I won't even have to use Ashura."

He turned to watch over the reeling again, not really feeling like he had anything to add to what Maxie had just said to Zach, although his attention was still on the people around him and the words they said.

I probably wouldn't be able to pronounce it - if you're not brought up with a sound, then you can't really pronounce it, and sometimes you can't even hear it. Most Japanese can't hear or pronounce 'l'... *random trivia*}

Maxie simply smiled at Chupon, having no idea what he said. Normally, Fang translated for her - whispering in her ear, or twitching his ears in a certain way until she got the picture. As always, she was lost without him. It was as if a half of her had fallen asleep with Fang, her nose had been pinched shut and someone had half-submerged her ears in water.

"'Over There'? Where're you from?" Maxie asked, searching her memory for a city that used ice types. There weren't any in Hoenn... or Kanto... There was one in Johto, too... but she couldn't remember what it was called...

Maxie strained her eyes. Could she see an island on the horizon? Naaah.
 
OOC: Yeah, you probably can't...but seriously, most foreigners don't ever learn to pronounce finnish names properly, not even the ones that don't contain '?' (Heh, care to try pronouncing that? XD) or '?'. I know because my name is like that, five letters and not a single even vaguely strange letter in it and people still pronounce it wrong in so many different ways, it's rather amusing actually. XD

Oh, and just to check up; How many people's characters would be taking the gym challenge? I know Yibber's ain't, but what about the rest of you? Because I've been thinking, that we might end up having one heck of a long stop at every gym we come across, seeing as a battle between two pok?mon alone can already span a whole page (Ahh...Alphimega memories...^^). I'm willing to go through with it of course, so don't feel pressured to drop out from gym battles or anything, I'd just want to get a general figure here.

Rai flinched inwardly at Maxie's question, noticing once again that he might have let a crucial detail slip, his mind quickly began working on a way around it, though. "Kingsfield City." he replied truthfully, after all, Kingsfield was fairly notorious as a place for the prominent and wealthy so it would coincide neatly with the rest of his story "Have you heard of it?"

The boy glanced out across the sea again, half-wondering why there weren't any islands in sight, even though this was supposed to be an archipelago. If he had spent half as much time studying geography as he did sneaking away from home, Rai wouldn't have had to ponder such things, as it was fairly common knowledge that both Kingsfield and Zephyr Town were, in fact, not part of the dense cluster of small islands and islets that dotted the waters around the mainland, but actually located quite firmly on a narrow peninsula at the southernmost edge of the main continent, although they were practically almost as isolated as an island would have been due to the crescent peaks, a steep mountain chain that spread in a semi-circle on the souther edge of the Showgan continent, effectively cutting of the peninsula from the mainland, not to mention the treacherous reefs that were abundant in its vicinity, forcing ships, much like the one they were currently riding, to steer well clear of the coastline, lest they wanted to risk getting wrecked by the sharp rocks that came all too close at low tide or getting tossed against the sheer cliff surface by a freak storm, the few natural ports like Zephyr Town being the only places deep enough to safely dock. Between these reefs and the far more famous archipelago, the sea floor suddenly dropped drastically into what was known among local fishermen as the 'Serpents' Trench', a deep underwater canyon that snaked its way along the continent's eastern side, all the way to the open seas, supposedly created by migrating Gyarados during countless years, a great deal of superstition surrounded this trench, tales of vengefull sea creatures attacking defenseless fishermen and dragging them down beneath the depths for preying on their lesser kin keeping all but the most modern and sceptical seafearers from these waters. Of course, the captain of the ship was not one of these 'superstitious fools', which was why said ship was currently travelling along the very middle of the 'Serpents' Trench', consequently avoiding sightings of any islands whatsoever, which, according to the captain himself, suited him just fine, after all, the less islands they ran into the less annoying and disrespectfull teenagers he would have to deal with. His livelihood might have largely depended on these people, but that didn't mean that he had to like them now, did it?

Will discuss that and a certain other thing over e-mail (When was the last time I wrote one of those, I wonder? ^^) so as not to spoil the surprise for everyone, ne? Charon, Melissa, sorry if you feel left out by this system but all our insidious secret plot devices wouldn't be very secret if we told them to everyone, would they? All original Alphimega members check your e-mails, I should be posting some spoilerish ideas shortly, if not, give me a poke, as I do believe I have some things to dicuss with y'all. XD

Oh, and I don't think I have enough to go on to write an IC at the moment. Maybe once someone else posts. ^^

This was something that Zachary kept to himself and some of it even from Ron. He acted happy and well-adjusted; which he was, but there were things in his past that he didn't quite want to talk about. Yet anyway.

"Hey," he said, thinking of the gym talk, "I might be interested in some of the gyms... though; I think I'll pick and choose my battles. No use in trying for a gym right now considering all I've got is Ron and the Zigzagoon." He didn't know Luka's name, he couldn't understand her language. He was hoping thaat Ron could help him with that sometime.

OOC: Meh... all I can think of for now. ^^;

Kayley giggled slightly and very softly to herself at Zack's little action, which led to the conversation being about music for a while. She preferred to listen to everyone else's musings for a while, staring out at the open sea while she did so.

She couldn't help but comment when Rai mentioned Kingsfield, however.

"Kingsfield City.. I've been there lots. Of course, it helps when you live right nearby. Dad went there whenever he was home, but Mum would usually stay home and be with her music rather than gain social status. It was always very important to her. Sometimes I would stay behind, too, because Dad only went to really boring social gatherings." At this point, she paused.

"But anyways, getting back to musical things.. Well, I remember something really funny that happened to me once." Kayley continued, smiling. "My cousin used to visit my house with his parents to hear my Mum play. He would bring several friends as well. Well, his one friend, Sammy.. He was really mean. Only to me, and my Mum, of course. Yeah, he'd actually resort to violence whenever I didn't do what he said. But.. It was before I met Fishy, so my only form of defense.." Kayley paused, reaching down to pat the black case. "Well, one day I snapped. I just had enough.... His nose never healed properly.. It was still funny, though. Especially since my Mum saw me and actually didn't ground me. I felt bad afterwards, though, so I never did it again."

{Oh, Kay-Kay, you told me about that once! It certainly did sound funny, yes it did! No one ever plays the game with a trumpet.} Fishy said, still referring to some kind of 'game', but apparently he was the only one who was saying anything, so it was probably in everyone's best interest to ignore him.

"Oh yeah! And as for Gyms," Kayley said, speaking up again, "I think I'm interested as well. I've been practising strategies with Fishy and Razz for a while now, but I'd think it'd be in my best interest to expand my team as well. There's always room for improvement anyways." She said, ending with a smile. She had basically just said the same things as Zack in those statements, although not exactly.

{Why are you calling her 'the Zigzagoon'?} Fishy chirped, eyeing Zack from his position on Kayley's shoulder. {Her name is Luka! Didn't you hear her?} He exclaimed.

Kayley raised an eyebrow at Fishy, but decided to translate anyway.

"Um.. Zack.." She said, poking the boy with one finger. "I don't know why, but Fishy's saying that her name is Luka." She paused to gesture towards the Zigzagoon herself. "Perhaps she said so herself, I don't know. Just to let you know." She concluded.

Jena sat on the railing of the ship and listened in to the conversations of her friends,not knowing what to say,the girl simply kept quiet,nodding here and there.Then,Rai mentioned that he was from Kingsfield.

"Wow,Kingsfield,heard it was a great place,but,I didn't really have a chance to leave my house on the outskirts of Zephyr Town.Mareep Rearing and all."the girl shrugged,she didn't reply to Rai's question concerning the gym leader of Azura Town,apparently,she knew nothing about him.

"You hit the guy's nose??Ouch!Mama would kill me if I ever did that."Jena chuckled at Kayley's story.
"Well,the boy deserved it,right?"

{Are we there yet??Are we there yet??}Cascade was starting to get impatient.Running around in circles on the deck.

{No,Cassy.Could you wait awhile longer??}Ryne sighed.

{Mmmmm....But I've been waiting for so long.}the Mudkip whined.

"Right,so,Kayley and Zach are taking gym battles,while Sliver's in those Battle Tents."truthfully,Jena didn't know much about Battle Tents.They were like Contest,except,like the name stated,it would require pokemon to battle.

"What about Rai and Maxie?"the girl held on to the railing she was sitting on and turned to both the trainers.

As for Charon and Melissa joining the legion...maybe...you two are quite close to the inner circle after all, perhaps for my next RP. But I do always try to make a point of keeping secret things at least secret from a few RPers, I mean, where's the fun if everyone knows exactly what's going to happen? Although casual readers wouldn't know, I suppose. ^^

And ?rjan, thou art pronouncing thy name incorrectly. XP

Oh, and Silver (Why do you keep calling her Sliver, by the way?) never actually said that she was interested in Battle Tents, and if there is a Battle Frontierish place then it's still very low-profile so they wouldn't know about it, so please stop mixing up OOC information with the IC stuff, okay?

Rai, who had, for a moment, been slightly worried that Kayley might have heard of a certain LeBlaque during these 'social events' she had attended, looked up at Jena's statement concerning Kingsfield, "It's not really all that great." he said, "I mean sure, the scenery is quite beautiful in its own way, but it's all so rigid and organized, packed in between the mountains, no space for freedom, unless you have wings." once again, a faint memory of his 'dream' came to him but he shrugged it of as he continued "That, and most of the people there are..." he struggled against his own upbringing for a moment before finally continuing "...quite horrible really, much like this Sammy person you described, Kayley." he grinned slightly "It was brave of you to stand up against him."

As the subject of the conversation shifted to their training preferences, Rai turned around, leaning his back against the railing to make the conversation easier. "I plan on taking the gym challenge." he said confidently, "I don't want all that training I have done with Ashura and Chupon to go to waste. Although the Battle Tents sound quite interesting too. "

OOC: And Plushie, check thy e-mail again if you haven't already. Oh, and I still forgot to mention that one thing in my e-mail. >.< *Bangs head against keyboard* I'll tell you in meh next one, okay?

Maxie nodded at Kayley. "I agree with Rai, that was a pretty cool thing to do." she smiled down at Fang, a heavy feeling in the pit of her stomach.
"I've never been to Kingsfield," she told Rai, "Isn't it a bit far out? I've only been to the main cluster of islands..."
She trailed off, finally remembering Zach, who had been talking about gyms.
"I don't really want to take the gym challenge. I mean..." she glanced at Fang again, now identifying the feeling as guilt. "I don't want to make Fang battle," she lowered her voice, "Not more than I have to. You'll see what a coward he is, well...bad things happened to him. I told him I'd protect him. That's why I want to travel - to learn how-" she broke off, as Fang stirred and mumbled in his sleep. Maxie smiled awkwardly, and stepped away. She clutched a hand to the chain around her neck, feeling irritated with herself. Was she beginning to trust these people? PAH! Thank god Fang brought her to her senses. He was even handy unconcious!

Just then, her phone began to vibrate in her pocket. She dug it out, balancing Fang on her hip, and checked her messages. the words 'where r u?' lit up the screen. Maxie stared at it, a drained look on her face. She began to write a reply; 'heading to Azure town'.
She didn't need to check the ID to know it was from Mac. He practically 'managed' her - her jobs, her medication, even her laundry - and he probably knew where she really was. More likely, he was actually looking for a reason why, but Maxie wasn't going to give it.

Watching Maxie reach for her phone suddenly made Zachary think of his mother. She was probably wondering about him, and he was wondering about her. Her new boyfriend was alright, and a pretty decent guy, but Zachary still worried. A lot of guys seem nice.

"So," he said, getting his mind off of that, "Luka, is it?" He nent down to look at the huffy Zigzagoon.

Luka sighed and neither nodded or shook her head. She just sat there.

Zachary raised an eyebrow, and made his face look uninterested. "Okay then... you can be that way," he said, smirking a bit. This was what he had been planning; to act as if Luka's attitude didn't bother him. He was trying out reverse-psychology.

"Gym battles... remeber that woman I mentioned, Xena? Yeah, I wanna beat her. It would be great to go home and tell my Mom all about her horrid face of defeat. My Mom'd love it!" he smiled darkly, picturing the woman's face he had seen in pictures. He wished his Mom would have said more about what had happened between them, but she hadn't said much.

"Hey!" he spoke up suddenly, "Are there any kinds of pokemon you guys want to catch?"

{You mean enslave?} Luka sneered, annoyed at such a light term. She didn't care what the others thought. They were merely brainwashed fools.

Since Maxie's out the gyms too then we're quite clear, Kayley is the steady gym battler of the lot, Zachary will be a bit in and out depending on the situation and Rai....well, he'll be flip-flopping a bit too, you'll see. Anyhow, I haven't seen the Orange Island thingie so I wouldn't have a clue about that, and I'm just not comfortable with taking in elements which I don't have a clue about to the plot. Well, RP characters excluded of course. ^^

Oh, and on the stuff of randomness, I went to his one thread where people made quizes, and suddenly felt a peculiar urge to create a quiz myself. (Did I mention I have a weakness for online quizes? XD) Anyhow, if anyone cares to fill it out, here it is.

"Not very far, no." Rai replied, attempting to remember what little lessons in geography he had been given "It's only a direct train connection away from Zephyr Town after all. But I'm afraid geography isn't my strong suit." he smiled apologetically, but fortunately enough Maxie seemed not to care about his lack of knowledge too much as she proceeded to the question of the gym challenge. He listened in alert silence as the girl spoke, sensing that these were matters she didn't dicuss with just anyone, was she perhaps beginning to trust the group a little? Well, if she was, that fragile spell was quickly broken as Fang stirred in his sleep, instantly returning Maxie to her old reclusive self, the girl stepping back and looking awkward again, clutching the chain around her neck tightly, at least until her cell phone turned her attention elsewhere. Rai noted with some measure of alarm that Maxie's face looked strangely drained as she saw whatever message had been sent to her, fairly quickly typing up a reply, although the boy was quite used to the idea that attempting to pry any information on such matters from Maxie would only cause her to hold onto her secrets even tighter, it was better to just let it drop, to be patient and wait for the time when she felt ready to share.

"Hmm?" Rai looked up at Zachary's question, pausing for a moment to ponder his answer "There are a few..." he replied at last, smiling in a slightly dreaming way for a moment "I have heard of an elegant serpent-like species of water pok?mon called Milotic, they're supposed to be the most beautiful creatures in the world, and very powerfull as well. They're very elusive, though, rarely letting humans see them. But if we do encounter one, I would appreciate it if you at least gave me the chance to try to persuade it into joining me. Beyond that..." he shrugged "I shall just have to see what the future brings. But I will know the ones I like when I see them, that I'm certain of."

Chupon tilted his head, {It ain't really enslaving.} he commented at Luka's words, although he had the distinct feeling that the Zigzagoon couldn't care less about his opinion, {I mean, they look after us, right? And feed us and play with us and help us grow strong. That's not enslaving, is it?}

"Though,Milotics are really rare,I only see them in books.Their pre-evolved form,Feebas,isn't so bad either.I'd trade a Milotic for a Feebas anyday."the girl stopped,wondering if any of them thought she was weird.

OOC: Took the quiz on you Alter! And... I kinda suck. ^-^;; Well, I'm not too bad, I got 70! That's only a little under Yibber! Now I kinda want to make a quiz... perhaps I shall later or something. o.o Fishsticks!! I totally screwed up on the one about Hyper Beam!! Though... I do know that you yourself would never use it. ^.^

BTW, that site has like a bunch of really sexed-out looking girls on the ads that pop up and are on the side of the screen. I was staring at major clevage during half the questions... O_O PUT A SHIRT ON CHICKIE!

I decide what I want to do-- and I certainly don't fight others in exchange for the love of some boy. What kind of love is that?! Humans act as if they can just use our powers and abilities to their own liking; regardless of how we feel. I can guarantee you all that your ancestors did not have the same happy-go-lovey attitude about humans as you do. They paint it as some cutsey 'partnership', but I see it for what it is... a parasitic relationship in which are the ones preyed upon! But go ahead, think what you will of my ideas. You're already too far gone to realize what life should be like.}

She shuffled away from them, not caring about their responses. They loved their humans did they? Poor beasts. Maybe someday they would get to experience the taste of freedom. The feeling of staying and sleeping anywhere you want; not always being tied to a human like a bound criminal to a wall. Then they would all realize the autrocity of the human's ways. She gave a glare over to Zachary. If that idiot hadn't have caught her... she could have gotten some work done. But now... that would just have to wait.

Zachary gave Luka a tired look. Whatever had just happened had propelled her back into being a mean Zigzagoon again. He sighed. "Oh well... I know you'll like me in time Luka... though if you don't... then I'll give you what you want," he mumbled to himself, looking at her. Then he decided to add what he had wanted to the topic he had started.

"I've always wanted a Skarmory. They're just so tough and awesome-looking to me! Plus... I've always had this urge to ride one. Dunno why...," he finished, smiling.

OOC: Ah yes, I decided to make Luka an anti-human pokemon. Figure it would shake things up a bit more. Of course... we shall see if she changes her mind about them. ^-^
