Maxie simply stared at the conversation darting between the pokemon. How she wished Fang would wake up and tell her what was being said... but he needed his sleep if he was to keep watch tonight.
"Feebas?" Maxie cocked her head at Jena's words. "I've seen one of those. Kosloski - my foster father - has one that lives in a big tank. I always thought it was a dreadfull looking thing. It looked pretty ill, all grey and holey..."
Maxie paused, smiling slightly. "I'd really like a Nidorino. Oh, and I saw these bug types that had hooked sort of feet... they were 'nin' something...Though, Skarmorys are cool too."
Secretly, Maxie had been creeped out by the metal birds, but she wasn't going to admit it.

{ooc| I got 70, lol, I also screwed up on the Hyper Beam question. *throws confetti* I need to go to bed now... soon... guys, can you think of any cool famous people I can go to a fancy dress party as? I thought of going as a Geisha (*has a kimono*) but that's sort of boring.}

Cascade scratched his head with one paw,confused by what Luka was talking about,the Mudkip merely sighed,not wanting to bother Luka.Ryne as well,thought on what the Zigzagoon said,wanting to reply,but stopped as Luka turned away from them.

"Yeah,but there's something about Feebas that,I don't know,appeals to me?"Jena agreed with Maxie on the looks departmet,but she still thought that Feebas were one of the better pokemon.

"Yeah,Skarmony's not half bad,but,I'd rather a Swellow."the girl smiled at Zach.
 
"I liked the way it swam around... but I think it was pretty lonely in that tank." Maxie strained her memory, trying to picture it in her mind, but for some reason all she could see in her mind's eye was an empty tank. It hadn't been there the last time she was at 'home' - but it was probably being battled, or had been stored elsewhere, or maybe Kosloski had made another attempt at evolving it... "It think, if you capture pokemon, you should't leave them cooped up in a ball. You should battle them or release them. Fang always moans about how he hates his ball."
Maxie shivered to herself. She hated been cramped, though it was something she had been forced to get used to when she was younger. She couldn't stand the thought of Fang being all squished up somewhere.
 
OOC: 80%...70%...70%...and all of you thought I'd even consider putting Frenzy Plant on anything. And you guys are supposed to be my friends? *Cries* No-one understands me! ;___;

Just kidding, I purposely made the quiz so that unless you make lucky guesses you'd really have to have payed close attention to what I've said in numerous different places to get full marks. ^^

Seriously though, Charon, that one answer of yours did surprise me, what on earth made you think that I'd ever call RPers 'RP fagsorz'? And if I found them annoying, I wouldn't be writing this, would I? XD

Oh well, all of you knew my opinion on Spindas though, that's a start. *Passes out one cookie each to ?rjan, Melissa, and Charon* And as for the TCG thing, I've only mentioned it once or twice I believe, it's one of those questions where you'd either have had to pay proper attention to what I write/say or just pick one at random and hope you get lucky.

Erm, cool famous people? Ehh...those aren't really my strong suit I'm afraid, never been much into dressing up.

And those ads? When I was there all I saw was an ad where hamsters were eating cookies. o_O

Rai listened in silence as the others described the pok?mon they wanted to catch, he had never been particularly fond of Skarmories himself, there was something hard and edgy about them that didn't appeal to him, despite the considerable power that their tough armors and sharp claws and beaks granted them, but judging by the way that Zachary spoke of them, and his companion, Ron, it seemed like the boy was quite fond of tough and durable pok?mon, which actually suited Rai just fine. After all, different tastes meant that quarrels within the group were far less likely to ensue, which was all well and good, the boy had never been fond of arguing. As Jena mentioned a Swellow, Rai smiled, remembering the countless times he had watched those majestic bird pok?mon flying over the mansion and how he had admired their beauty and grace. Yes, particularly grace...his thoughts briefly wandered to something else...a picture that was not of the countless anonymous Swellows that he had spotted during his lazy hours, but that of a Tailow, a particularly small and loud one who had somehow ended up with the name 'Grace'. Oh how the litte flying type had enjoyed playing with Chupon, how enjoyable it was to watch them as they chased each other through the estate grounds, and how enjoyable it was to- Rai's face suddenly contorted to a frown, right in the middle of his pleasant revelries as thoughts and memories he would rather not have remembered briefly floating up to the surface of his thoughts. No... he thought for himself Not again, not now...it can't be changed so there's no point in dwelling on it... the boy forced his mind back to the present, noting that his frown had come just at the time when Maxie mentioned people keeping their pok?mon cooped up in a ball. His frown would be explainable.

"I agree." he said seriously, nodding "Although I think they could also be treated as pets, or just raised for contests. But I do agree that they shouldn't just be cooped up like some kind of bizzare trophies."

Chupon tilted his head at Luka's reply, his little Treecko brow furrowing in an attempt to understand what the Zigzagoon was trying to say. {That's just not true...} he said quietly, shaking his head {Rai loved me and took care of me even before I could stand properly and I fight for him because I want to, not because I'm forced.} he shook his head again, not really caring if anyone listened to him or not, walking over to Rai and nudging his pant leg instead, signifying that he wanted to be picked up. The boy was quite happy to oblige, bending down to collect the Treecko and placing him on his shoulder, the little gecko absent-mindedly dangling his feet back and forth as he took in his surroundings and tried to make sense of all these thoughts that Luka had put in his head. Suddenly, Chupon froze, noticing a fairly large dot in the horizon that seemed to grow at a rapid pace.

{Land!} he squeaked, jumping up and down in excitement and pointing out the dot to the others {I see land!}

"Why do you think I let Cassy and Ryne out of their pokeballs??"the girl asked,pointing at both her pokemon.The girl then noticed Rai frowning,she would've thought it was maybe because of the topic of their cpnversation.But,there was a nagging feeling about this,by the look on the boy's face,could it really have to do with pokeballs?

"Yes,"the girl agreed with Rai.
"Some people treat their pokemon like they're just trophies,not considering the fact that they are living things and have feelings too.Its so scary,its hard to beleive that these kind of things happen."she sighed and frowned.

{The stuffy ball,its scary.}Cascade shuddered,he didn't like crammed up places,not at all.
{I don't mind going into the ball,but,I suppose it is better to be able to walk on your own two legs instead of being carried around.}Ryne stated.

Jena got off the railing and streched her arms over her head,noticing that Chupon started jumping up and down,pointing to the distance.The girl squinted her eyes and a grin replaced the frown on her face.

"Its the Mainland!"

Kayley had reverted back to a state of silence, listening to everyone's opinion on the matters that were currently being discussed, such as Pokemon that everyone hoped of catching, as well as the Pokeball issue.

"Well," Kayley spoke up, "I'm happy with whatever Pokemon comes my way. I wouldn't want to play favorites. Fishy may say otherwise because he's full of himself."

At this, the Mudkip stuck his tongue out at her playfully before going back to the conversation between the Pokemon.

"As for Pokeballs, I do agree that it should be limited. It's not natural for Pokemon to be kept in a little tiny ball at the mercy of their Trainer.. Razz knows she can come out whenever she wants. I guess she must've taken a nap."

Fishy, however, had been silent, waiting for the others to finish speaking before he decided to share his point of view.

{I agree with Chupon-o.} He said simply, tail fin swaying back and forth. {Kay-Kay.. She means alot to me. I wouldn't be here without her, you know. I'd be..} He paused, then said no more for a while. {I owe her lots. The least I can do is be with her everywhere she goes. Love her back. Help her live a dream.} There was a surprising amount of profoundness in his voice, which seemed out of character for a moment.

The Mudkip sighed, nuzzling Kayley a bit under her chin, to which the girl replied with a heart-warming smile, and a slight nuzzle back. She hadn't heard what he had said, since she had been listening in on the human conversation, which explained why she hadn't been more emotional.

The pair didn't even notice Chupon's exclamation that land was near.

Jena smiled at Kayley and her Mudkip as they nuzzled each other,something was definately going on between the pokemon.

Cascade sat silently as he absorbed what Fishy was saying,he managed to understand and reply to the statement.
{Right!Jena took care of me since I was a wee' small Mudkip!She taught me everything she knew!She was the first thing I saw when I came out of my egg.Though,for some reason,I still remember that she was crying and smiling at the same time.}

{I remember when Zhena brought me into the house,she gave me to Jena.Cassy was already there and gave me a warm welcome,I wasn't used to humans back then,but after two days,I started liking Jena,she treated me with much love and care.Unlike the people whom Madam bought me from.And now,I love her.}Ryne nodded.Before taking a glance at the dot on the edge of the horizon where her trainer was pointing at.

"Quiet down you punks!We'll be reaching the docks within' the next few minutes."the same old man shouted and shook his fist at the group.

OCC: Whoa.. Flissie did all the quiz and the results were like... surprising.. Meh can't believe that I actually got a higher score for Titan's quiz than Yibber's quiz.. I'm dead.. Really dead.. *sees Yibber and runs far, far away..* She's gonna kill meh when she finds out bout this.. By the way.. I got a 90 for Titan's quiz and a 80 for Yibber's quiz.. And I got like a 60 for Plushie's quiz.. I'm like topping most of the quizzes.. XD

Maybe Pokemon like Skarmory?" she continued.. She recalled the Skarmory her Master had.. It was simply splendid.. She longed to have a Pokemon like that.. Only that she didn't know where to catch it.. She paused for a moment before asking.. "Do any of you here know where to catch a Skarmory??"

"Alright! Another Skarmory fan!" Zachary said happily, in response to Silver, "Though... as to where you find them, I have no idea. Maybe someone we meet later will know. There are a lot of resources for trainers; I'm sure they know something."

Luka heard the others discussing their replies. She knew they would all say that. That they were still free, that their trainers loved them and they loved their trainers. The indignity of it made Luka's blood boil. But it couldn't be helped, after all, they had been pacified by those humans, tricked into believing that they were actually living.

Zachary looked over to the land coming towards them, and decided it was safe to bring his easily seasick companion back out. He tossed his pokeball and soon enough Ron was standing sleepily beside the boy, giving a large yawn.

{Di' I miss anythin'?} he yawned, {I see Luka's still pouting.}

The Zigzagoon hurled a look of anger at the Aron.

{Yep...,} Ron replied.

"Land's here, so I thought I'd bring ya' out," Zachary said cheerfully. Ron nodded, them both waiting for the shore to get closer.

Maxie stared at the island. "Do any of you have pokedexes?" she asked suddenly, as a thought struck her. "I mean... I don't, but if you guys do, I could borrow yours."
She was beignning to feel a familiar dig of guilt in her stomach. She had to phone Mac soon... and she was worried about Sephy... how long would she have to tail these guys for, until the boss handed over her pokemon?
"Minerva," she told her sneasel, who had been snoozing, "Find out what's going on." Her ferocious expression was enough.
The sneasel jerked herself awake and plodded off aounnd the corner.

{come in, boss. Come in. Our agent isn't happy... over.} she said telepathically

OOC: Fweee! ^-^ I took Plushie and Yibber's quizzes and made my own as well. Though... only got 30 on Plushie's and 20 on Yibber's. ^-^; I expect I'll do the same on Flissie's and maybe a bit better on Charon's but who knows? I think I just did well on Alter's because it was very lonely in PS for a long while....

That TCG thing...gah, I swear that I was on the verge of klicking the right answer but then settled for the one below, and the orginal Camerupt moveset I ought to have known, seeing as how I corrected it. Dang my scatterbrainedness! >.< Well, at least I got the last question right. ^^

And...40 on Yibber's...although my mouse slipped on one question. >.< But Yibber, the answer for the last one surprised me, yes it did.

"I've heard they live in mountains..." Rai commented on the discussion of Skarmory habitats "Make their nests from brambles to keep away predators as I recall. That's how they grow so tough, they're exposed to the thorns all the way from being tiny chicks."

The boy looked up at Maxie's question, shaking his head "Sorry." he said "Getting a pok?dex was just one of those things that I didn't manage to do before my departure. Maybe if we find a pok?mon laboratory on the way we could ask them for one?" he suggested "I hear that they're quite happy to have trainers doing their research for them, the data being transmitted directly onward to their central computer." he shrugged "One of dad's bussiness associates boasted about that, he was some kind of pok?mon technology tycoon."

The boy turned to watch as their ship steered into the dock, immediately noting that that was more or less what there was to see, a few piers and a large terminal-like structure for newly arriving people with a small line of souvenir shops arranged on its side.

"Excuse me." Rai said, walking over to the captain just as the man started walking towards the gangplank in hopes of avoiding the crowd that was starting to spill towards it from all sides "Where is Azure Town?"

The captain stopped, turning around and giving him a slightly angry look "On the other side of the woods of course." he snorted as if this was common knowledge "You born on a farm, lout?"

"Yeah, something like that..." Rai replied, doing his best to reign in his temper as the captain stalked of, muttering something about clueless brats under his breath.

"Well, I suppose it's time to go." the boy said, turning to the others, Chupon perching on his shoulders. He cast an eye across the crowd that was quickly walking in between them "Let's meet up by the terminal if we get separated." he called out over the bustlel of the crowd, soon becoming very hard to spot indeed.

Back in his office, Mesmer was interrupted in the middle of an amusing game of darts, in which his nemesis was the bullseye, and his mindvoice sounded slightly annoyed as he replied to Minerva's report.

"Not happy?" he echoed dismissively "That is quite normal considering the circumstances. As long as the simian keeps in line we have no problem. Has she uncovered any information of our true quarry? Over."

OOC: W00T 88% on Charon's quiz! XD I only missed one question in which I was between two answers and naturally picked the wrong one. >.< Tsk, in retrospect I recall the correct answer to that one too.
And 80% on Melissa's! XD Whew, for a moment I was worried that I had lost my touch for quizes. ^^

Do any of you guys know the name of the song that goes... 'something something something on the telephone; the lights are on but no one's home'? It's a 'pop' song, but it's pretty catchy...}

Minerva's reply was immediete, if not a little exasperated. {Why the hell did we hire this girl? I thought Maxie Hart was a trained assassin? She seems to be doing a botched job of following stealthily...} the little pokemon said bitterly, before remembering the number one rule; {Of course, Boss is always right... and no. The boy is now in Azure Town...} She trailed off, watching Rai leave the ship, {We're getting off now, over.} She scurried back to the group.

Maxie peered out over the reering, struggling to keep Rai in her sight. Fang could find him if the need arose, but... she'd rather not wake him. She growled in irritation as he vanished from view, and she slammed her fist against the metal pole. Sparks off pain shot up her arm, but Maxie grimaced and beared it. She was a week away from her check-up, any investigation of her hands could wait until then...she hoped.
Maxie plunged into the surging tide of people with relief, glad to become 'just another face in the crowd' again, if only for a minute. She slid Fang into her front pocket, so she could use her hands to navigate through the mass of heaving bodies. A shove here, a stamp on the foot there, and Maxie made her way through. She seemed very used to this situation, and some how seemed to slip through with practised ease. She emerged outside a shop; in the window was a poster. It had a rough CCT-style image of a girl with her head bowed, dressed in what looked like a black pair of combats and a hoodie. However, the photo was dark, her face was obscured, and apart from the zubat perched on her shoulder, it could have passed as anyone. Underneath was written:
'WANTED FOR QUESTIONING. Young girl, around fourteen, black hair, purple eyes, dressed in black. Was seen with a Zubat. The police would like to interogate in connection with the recent murders in Azure's Police headquarters. Please contact ths number...' It was half-buried in flyers for the town fete, and adverts for manure - it had apparently been there some time.
Of course, Maxie couldn't read, and even if she did, she was far too busy looking for the others to notice the wanted poster. That was Fang's job.

{ooc| Hope this is okay, Alter... I wanted to add some more depth to Maxie. She's eeeeevil. >=D}
 
OOC: That's quite all right Charon! I only got a 50 on yours anyway. ^^ Plus... they was tricky questions they was! And Alter is making a harder quiz??? "Come on Ron, Luka, let's head out!" Zachary said to his two pokemon, stepping carefully off of the boat. He was being extra careful because for a short time, he actually hadn't been clumsy at all. However, when he noticed the huge crowd, he stopped in his tracks. "So many people...!" he said in a worried voice.

{This should be disastrous, eh Zack?} Ron said jokingly, thumping the boy's leg.

Luka was smiling though; this was her chance for freedom! In this crowd, she could slip away unnoticed, and they would think her stolen or something. She fluffed up her fur and plunged into the crowd along with Zachary and Ron.

"Excuse me ma'am!"

"Woah! Watch out there!"

"Please don't tip your cup of coffee like that sir!!"

Zachary was constanly talking like this as he made his way through the whole of the crowd. He just barely heard Rai's comment, and a few moments after that a man had been pushed and fell over onto a woman next to Zachary, who fell into a boy next to him, who continued the process for another five people.

Ron shook his head, {At least you didn't start it that time.}

"What idiot pushed that guy anyway!" Zachary snapped, as he brushed himself off. Maxie was actually the 'idiot', though no one knew it.

Luka took Zachary's fall as a perfect exit spot, and she dashed off into the crowd. She weaved quickly in and out people's feet and pokemon that stood by them. After a few seconds she got to the edge of the crowd, and to her supposed freedom.

Though as she got to the edge of the path she was to take for freedom, she stopped. She sat down strangely, without wanting to. What was going on?! She told herself angrily to get up, to will herself to freedom.

But she couldn't. She couldn't move any further. She got up and began to pace in a line, as if there were an invisible wall holding her there. What was this magic? Then she remembered... pokeballs were designed with this in mind. They did not allow a pokemon to leave on their own past a certain distance. The longer they stayed with their trainer-- the stronger it got. Luka hadn't been with Zachary that long... but she had been out of her ball the whole time... interacting and being held by him... this made the pokeball magic stronger! Yes... that had to be it!

She turned on her heels. There was no use in doing that then... she might as well go back to the boy for now. She would have to figure out another way to free herself. And she would do it in a blaze of glory, right in his face....

OOC: And Maxie is evil. She scares me!!! ;_;
 
Mesmer frowned at Minerva's comment, although he was pleased to notice that his disciplinary teachings had gone through. "As I said, my sources believe that there is more to this simian than meets the eye." he replied "Perhaps she shall prove to be useful yet. Keep me informed. Over and out."

While searching for a way back to the others, Rai slipped through the crowds as gracefully as he could, Chupon perching on his shoulder as he navigated a path through the mass of humans, finally finding a small pocket of empty space by the wall of the terminal.

"This isn't working..." he said for himself, shaking his head "We need more space...I know." he reached for the pok?ball on his belt, the one way to get rid of people that had get to fail him "Go Ashura!"

The boy released the Scyther from her ball with a small flick of his wrist, the mantis pok?mon stretching her body in the sunlight and casting an indignant glance at the crowd around them, brandishing her bladed arms at a random crowd member who made the mistake of getting a bit too close to her before turning back to Rai, noting that the others were nowhere in sight.

{So, are we travelling in solitude again?} she asked, her voice hopefull.

Rai shook his head, failing to not the hopefull tone in the Scyther's voice as he smiled while replying, "To the contrary Ashu, we've got more friends than before. I'll introduce you to the rest of them once we find them." he cast a glance around the crowd, spotting a fairly sizeable group of people all collapsing and smiling inwardly. "Come on." he said, gesturing for Ashura to follow as he began making his way towards the scene "I think Zachary's over there."

The Scyther nodded a bit reluctantly before falling into step with her trainer, although as they passed by a nearby shop, the Scyther suddenly froze, peering closely at a fairly old wanted poster that was half-hidden beneath various trivial announcements that held no interest for her, what interested Ashura was the figure on the poster, it seemed...familiar. She squinted a bit closer, now noticing the Zubat perched on the figure's shoulder, her eyes narrowing in realization as he cast a glance at Maxie, who happened to be nearby, and confirmed that the figures of the two matched well. Not knowing how to read, the Scyther didn't quite know what to make of this new information, but she recalled that pictures like this one were usually taken of criminals, which only served to confirm what she had already suspected from the start; that girl was nothing but trouble...

"Come on, Ashu!" Rai's voice came, just barely audible among the bustle of the crowd "We need to stick together!"

The Scyther winced, casting one last suspicious glance at the poster before heeding her trainer's summons, dissapearing in a blurr and reappearing by his trainer who was currently adressing the boy;

"You okay there, Zach?" he asked for confirmation more than anything else, somehow he had the feeling that Zachary had grown quite used to situations like this one by now "Have you seen Jena or the others anywhere?"
 
Maxie's eyes finally fell on Rai - or, rather, they fell on Ashu. Who could over look that baneful mantis pokemon? The majority of people were giving her an incredibly wide berth, tip-toeing around her as if on eggshells.
For a moment, she considored approaching him - but then her mind fell on that mission, and she settled on just watching.
Rai had spotted Zach - who, Maxie noticed with a smile, was stumbling through the crowd haplessly, and seemed to be leaving a trail of collapsed people in his wake. She giggled, her eyes than flciking to Luka, the zigzagoon - the loutish little pokemon seemed to make a break for freedom, but she hesitated at the last second. Maxie smiled to herself. Luka was lucky to have a trainer like Zach.

She wandered closer, still listening. Maybe if I dig up some info, she thought, I'll get my Sephy back... She doubted Rai would give anything important away to Zach....but maybe his scyther?

I gots 63 on Charon's quizzy,and actually 80 on Melissi's quizzy(higher placed than Ashley,so I am firs,yayness!!).o.0

Now me shall comment on my quizzy--
The trading card one was one stumper,I don't collect cards.XD
Flissi,Melissi and Plushie actually went and put "I don't know."XD

My favourite pokemon ish Feebas,even though I go around saying it is cute sometimes,I usually say Swampert's the ultimatest uber cutest pokemon!!!^^

"Okay then,come on,Cassy,bet you could get a lock on somebody couldn't you?Maybe Rai or Zach,lets not,I repeat,not,bother Maxie.Seeing that I have no idea where the,that,meeting place is again."the girl picked up her Mudkip before placing him infront of her.
Cascade merely nodded,before closing his eyes,concentrating on the surronding objects using the fin on his head,then,starting to walk off the ship.Jena,Ryne and the Wurmple followed behind.

With so many people pushing each other here and there,the girl was starting to get rather nervous,she hated these types of places with so many people.

As they passed by one of the shops along the side of the street,something caught the girl's eye,she quickly picked her Mudkip up,before looking closer at the Wanted Poster pasted on the window of the shop.
Her eyes narrowed,the figure in the picture looked awfully familiar,and,there was a pokemon with her in the picture.

"Purple eyes?"Jena thought,before mentally shrugging it off.

"Eh,maybe its one of them Ninja girls back home I saw,always knew they were evil."

The girl then walked off in the direction Cascade had pointed to.Towards a group of people,who,for some reason,had fallen to the ground like,dominos.Spoting a Scyther,and near them,Maxie.

Ya' know that ya' actually told meh that Swampert's the cutest Pokemon of all time.. And meh finds it quite hard ta' make a quiz ta' stump all of ya'.. It cause I either make it too random or make it too easy(for Yibber).. This is driving meh crazy..
