OOC:
Aw, you all failed Plushie's quiz. XD
There, there, now. Plushie has given you all a chance at redemption. ^^
Anyways, in case you all manage to somehow bomb, I'm gonna cheer you all up with a lil' ol' song.
*ahem*
I'd like to dedicate this song to my gold fish. It is called..
My Goldfish
My Goldfish..
He loves to eat
My Goldfish..
Used-'ta live on the reef
But now
He lives in a tank
And when he's naughty..
He gets a spank
My Goldfish!
My Goldfish!!
My Goldfish
is orange
MY GOLDFISH!!!
My Goldfish
He ate much spam
My Goldfish
Used-ta' eat it off the pan
But now..
He fries eggs
Even though
He's got no legs
My Goldfish!
My Goldfish!!
My Goldfish
is orange
MY GOLDFISH!!!
My Goldfish
His name ain't Jim
My Goldfish
He ain't a 'shim'
But now..
He is dead
From a concussion..
..to the head
MY GOLDFISH!!!
(My goldfish..)
MY GOLDFISH!!!
(My goldfish..
Is orange..)
MY GOLDFISH!!!!!

Kayley was about to respond to Maxie's question about Pokedexes, but was too entralled by the size of the crowd to utter a word. As the others disembarked, she took the time to snatch her case from its spot on the deck, then hurried off of the ship before the captain could complain, Fishy still on her shoulder.
And for a second, no words were exchanged between Trainer and Mudkip -- they were both too busy trying to find a way towards the terminal that Rai had yelled to them about.
Failing to notice the dominoes that Zach had made of several people, Kayley forced her way towards the terminal that was slightly visible, which was because her height allowed her to see over most people. Once she held her case out in front of her, people swerved out of the way faster, making a slightly clearer path as she moved towards the structure.
Fishy remained silent the whole time, his eyes getting that glazed over look once more.
And finally, a few minutes later, the girl had forced her way towards a clear space in the terminal, so that she could rest her eyes on the path to the woods. A faded sign near the terminal's exit read "Route 203 -- To Azure Town".
Everyone seemed to be ignoring the sign.. It must've been so old, that the Route had already become common knowledge among people near this port.
But..
Something was off.
Near this very sign was a boy Trainer, who looked to be a little younger than Silver. His sweaty brown hair did no job of hiding the haunted expression on his face, which wasn't quite as bad as Rai's expression had been on the boat, but still enough to get people to back off. His gaze was firmly locked on the ground, and he seemed to be muttering complete and utter jibberish as he did so. The boy's Pidgey huddled quietly in his arms, looking a bit scarred as well.
Kayley felt the urge to investigate.
And so she did, making her way over to the other Trainer in several moments, her confusion building as she approached the guy. But even her quiet footsteps or silent manner in which she approached was not enough to keep him from noticing her when she was several meters away.
His head immediately snapped up, his sight locking on her within an instant.
She froze, Fishy still oblivious to his surroundings, and was unnerved the instant he began to speak.
"E-Excuse m-me, ma'am.." The boy uttered, choking on the words. "Y-Y-You wouldn't happen to b-be going near the w-w-woods today, w-w-would you?"
She hesitated slightly before responding. "Well, yeah, that's the only way to Azure Town, isn't it?"
The boy's eyes seemed to widen in pure horror. "P-Please don't go there!" He shouted, on the edge of losing control. "Th-There's a.. A Ghost.. There! I-It's evil! I-It wiped the floor with me!"
At this, Kayley raised her eyebrow. Surely he was exaggerating or something. Apparently he had been scared by a Ghost Pokemon, and he wasn't taking it too well. And the part about it wiping the floor with him.. Well, Pidgey weren't exactly the strongest things around, and he didn't seem to be carrying any other Pokemon around.
In a few moments, Kayley had come to the conclusion the whole thing was a misunderstanding. But she had to wait for the other anyways..
"Well, I'll stay put for now, I guess." Kayley replied, steadily backing away from the boy.
