OOC: OMG, you just wrote Fliss back there Charon! XDDD But yeah, where is Flissie anyway? *Grumbles* Ohh...she's so in for a nagging again...

IC:

Rai grinned as Maxie added the two missing adjectives, "Yeah, I get that a lot..." he replied "Reckless and foolhardy, that is." the boy added, "That's just the way I was born, I'm afraid..." he was silent for a moment. At Maxie's comment on his little accessory, Rai took a closer look at it as well, "Yes, she was..." the boy replied, absent-mindedly touching the object with his fingertips, although he took care not to dislodge it by accident, "I didn't even get the chance to thank her...but yes, we shouldn't worry the others." the boy added, the memory of the rest of his friends returning clear to his mind.

A smile spread across Kaika's face at Fang's statement, the fox pok?mon clearly thinking about it that way for the first time, {Hey, you bes right!} he squeaked, {The old master never even learned Kaika's real name, him bes just callings Kaika 'Vulpix'! Oh, do you think Rai woulds be lettings Kaika stay with him instead of returning him to the old master?}

She's being a lazy dude again.I say,she keeps on saying that she has 'nothing' to post.XP
Anyway,Yibber shall try to persuade her to come.^^

It has been raining for three days straight here.o.O

I broke out and sang Mary had a little Feebas in class,during recess today.All the 4 dudes in class were staring at me funny.
Must be the effects of the rain.XD

Ic-

Jena kept quiet as Rai explained about the support beams being of no harm.And Harlan.She had no idea what they were talking about,choosing to nod when she felt it was the right time.Though,his mother sounded hauntingly familiar to Zhena.The girl let out an uneasy sigh,thinking about what extents that woman would go to to find her.She hoped it wasn't anything too drastic.If anything bad happened it would be all her fault.

"Eh,yep.You can't change the way you're born!Like how I'm forgetful and confused most of the time!"Jena decided to jump back in,lest both wonder why she had stopped with the talking all of a sudden.Her eyes then rested on that stone which looked much like a droplet of water round Rai's neck,indeed,it was a Mystic Water.

"Eh,they're fine.Bet that now Zach's having a friendly battle with that punk girl."she stated,not really knowing what else Kayley,Silver and Zachary were doing.

{Aw,yeah!Rai'll definately let you join his team,yes?The chances'll be higher if you offer him a smoothie!}Cascade jumped at Kaika's question,remembering that he still had yet to try one of those drinks.

{Smoothie?That drink,that liquid we haven't drinked yet?}

Out of one of the pokeballs on Jena's wristbands,a Wurmple appeared on the ground in a red flash of light.Letting out a simple 'Wurmple' to let everyone know he was there,waving the six pairs of his white hands enthusiactly towards the three humans and their pokemon.

"Orjen?What're you doing out of your pokeball,eh?"Jena asked,bending to pick up the Bug Type as he started to lag behind the group,with such small legs,a Wurmple such as him could never keep up if the pace of humans,right?

{Smoothies are the magic,mystic word!}he climbed up his trainer's arm and onto her head.A small grin formed on the girl's face,the sheer 'Wurmple-ness' of Orjen.

"Fine,you can stay out of your pokeball if you like."she closed her eyes and said.

{Yay!I am Orjen.It is my name,and what I am called by.And hello,hey,hi to everyone!}he was delighted at the Coordinator's reponse,turning to wave at all the pokemon below him.

OOc-
Poor Orjen needs to get some air.^^;;

OOC: Hey! I'm posting! OMG! XD

And Flissie has lots to post. She just needs to be inventive. XP

Zachary
===========

"What? Oh... I see, a Substitute defense. It's not that impressive. My Absol can easily get past that. Augurey!" Raven yelled to her Murkrow, her smirk getting wider, "Use Taunt on Nundu! As for you Nundu, use Fury Cutter! And to take care of that pesky Aron for a while, Augurey, use Peck on the runt after you take care of Nundu!"

"Huh?! What good would that do for your Absol?" Zachary said with surprise, wondering what in the world Raven was planning to do.

In the meantime, Augurey ignored the still swiping Ron and stared down the Absol. He began to mumble things under his breath that no one but he and Nundu could hear, and after a few moments, Nundu came under the same spell as Ron was.

The Absol growled angrily, and a black aura began to surround her, which did not look good to Zachary. She was obviously gathering some sort of dark energy or something, and she looked pretty powerful. Plus Zachary had never heard of the attack Fury Cutter, and he didn't particularly like the sound of it.

"It's simple. I thought to myself, why not adjust my Murkrow's attack so that I could enrage my own pokemon like I did to yours?" the girl replied to Zachary's question, "Even though it may become a bit reckless and angry, I'm willing to use the rage to up Fury Cutter's attack. That's what I do. I specialize in altering pokemon attacks so that they benefit each other whatever the cost to the pokemon."

"That's... not nice," Zachary said quietly, shocked to see a gym leader's daughter so blatantly disregarding her pokemon's health.

Nundu raced forward with another growl and sliced away at the fake Luka sitting before them. The real Luka was growing paler with fear as she noted the larger blade off of the side of the pokemon's head, cutting furiously away at the dummy's life, and when it was over her spell would be broken, leaving her exposed to the Absol's razor.

Luckily, Ron's armor was proving difficult to penatrate, and Augurey was having a time getting through it. This was making Raven angry, but she wasn't too worried... a Flamethrower from her Absol was enough to knock that stupid Aron out.

Suddenly Ron found himself feeling less enraged and more clear on what he was doing. He looked up to see the Murkrow above him attempting to pick at his head. He shook a bit, and then turned to Zachary, {Zack! I'm okay! What should I do?}

"Ron? Ron Headbutt that annoing crow!" Zachary shouted to him, feeling thankful that something was happening.

{Right!} Ron nodded, lowering his head and kicking off of the ground and into the stomach of the Murkrow. A feather went in his eyehole, and he had to shake it out, but he had successfully knocked the bird to the ground, and here was his chance.

"Ah! Augurey!" Raven called, feeling a bit unsure, "Get away!" She couldn't use Nundu, it was working on the Zigzagoon.

"Ron use Metal Claw!" Zachary commanded, and Ron began the attack he had been trying to use from the beginning. This time though, he actually made contact with feathers and skin, and with a few silvery swipes, Augurey screeched and flailed a few feet away from him.

Raven called out to Augurey, "Don't worry, I won't let you lose to the likes of him. Use Perish Song!"

"Huuwha?!" Zachary said in disbelief, "Perish Song? That's not fair!!"

A crack was heard in response though, as Luka's subsititute broke, and the real Luka became visible to the still enraged Absol. Luka blinked, unsure of how to handle such a dangerous creature. She stood no chance against that razor-sharp blade. No chance....

{i'm too lazy to edit.... soooo....*hums*}

Maxie gave a shy smile at Rai's comment.
"People only say that when they worry about you. They get angry at you, because they were scared for you. When Fang gets lost, ooo, he gets such an earfull..."
The zubat flinched at the memory; when you have supersonic hearing, having a girl screech down your lughole is not a pleasant experience.
Maxie watched the glittering gem curiously. It certainly was pretty, and the way it solidified and liquified like that was incredible. She tore her eyes away, as the other girl began to speak.
At Jena's mumbling, Maxie couldn't help laughing. "Of course you can't. I mean, you can change the outside, but you can't change what's on the inside," she paused, before adding in a vicious voice, "that's what other people are for..."

Fang waved his wings around. {I think you should stay with Rai, Kaika. Yor old trainer sounds mean. Real trainers learn their pokemon's names, and try to gain their trust, and... say, I wonder if Zack's got Luka to trust him yet?} he glanced at Maxie.
The girl nodded. "Yeah, we really should get a move on...we can walk and talk at the same time, we just need to move faster..."

Sure enough, Maxie could soon see Zachary and Raven on the other side of the hill. "Zack!" she shouted, andd waved her arms, "What's happening?"
Fang fluttered ahead, watching the boy through sonar. It looked bad; Luka was standing, totally vunerable, against the dark type. What's Zachary doing? the bat thought.

"Can't you two stop battling? Why must there be battles? Battles just hurt both parties.. Don't you two even care bout your Pokemon? Can't you spare a thought for them? They might not want to battle.. So don't decide on their behalf.." Silver shouted to Raven and Zachary.. She then walk up next to Zachary and whispered to his ear.. "I'm gonna tell ya' what's under my helmet.. Only if you stop the battle.. Think it over.." "Don't take too long to think it over though, I can't wait too long.. This offer is only for you.. and only you.." she continued.. Of course, Silver didn't really mean it.. She just more or less try to make Zachary stop battling.. She so wouldn't want Zachary or his Pokemon to get hurt in the battle..

OOC: Like, yay for your IC Flissie! ^0^ Hmm...it will be interesting to see what Zach decides on, actually. XD

Anyways, I think it's about good time I posted here again, myself...

IC:

Rai smiled at Maxie's remarks, both on his words and those of Jena. The girl was acting so different from before, so...well, friendly quite frankly, and more relaxed too, not at all like she had been back on the train, docile one moment and on a full rampage the next. It seemed like she had started to regard them both as people to be trusted, as friends...and briefly, Rai contemplated asking her about the last remark, the one she had made so sourly, that you couldn't change yourself but that others could, but he didn't dare to. He felt like a character under an invisibility spell he had seen in a movie once, like one wrong word, a single breath too early or too late, was enough to shatter the spell...and let all hell loose, and the boy didn't want to do such, choosing to let her move onto other subjects instead. As he listened, Rai noted that Maxie's eyes repeatedly strayed to Tenari's gift. She really did seem fascinated by it. Granted, Rai thought it a lovely object as well, beautiful and all, but having been raised in an environment where very similar things were common fare, the mystic water lacked the power to spellbind him so, fascinating though it was.

Kaika nodded, smiling at the advice both Cascade an Fang gave him, {Kaika thinkings you bes right.} he said, {Him bes askings Rai a bit later maybe, when Rai not bes so busy with other things, maybe Kaika findings a smoothie to give too.}

As Maxie brought up the subject of moving faster again, Rai's thoughts returned to the seriousness of the situation he had surpressed in his mind, then again, it was perhaps harder to think so much of a situation one hadn't witnessed for oneself, but judging by the tone of the girl's voice, it probably wasn't a friendly battle in the conventional sense of the word.

"I agree." he said, nodding and quickening his pace as well, taking a slightly firmer hold of Kaika, "We should be there for support at least, just in case things get ugly like with Valen."

As they closed in on the clearing, Maxie at the front, finally reaching the field of the battle, Rai quickly rushed over to get a better view, his expression instantly turning more serious as he noticed the technique the Absol was applying...Fury Cutter, it brought to mind that one fatefull battle when his opponent had been foolish enough to attempt stopping Ashura's Swords Dance with a Taunt. That poor pok?mon had been lucky to make it through that battle alive, and the expression on Nundu's face was all too similar to the one Ashura had worn, immediately causing the boy to fear for the worst.

Fury Cutter...
he repeated in his mind, attempting to recall his lessons, A move that works by channeling the user's anger and grows in power with every strike. There is a way to stop it, I just know there is... the boy focused harder, forcing his thoughts back to the countless duels he had had to go through back in the Ice Tower, how had mother managed to stop Ashura's attack again? Besides forcing the mantis pok?mon to take a 'cooling off period' by blasting it with ice as this obviously wasn't an option here. Only one move came to mind, and it hardly helped...Lovely Kiss, yes, mother's Jynx had pulled that one just when it looked like the frail ice type would have been done for, dropping Ashura to the ground without harming her; all negative emotions cleared away and replaced with drowsiness. Rai cast a glance at Zachary's pok?mon, heavily doubting that either of them could pull such a move off, still...there had to be something else...he had heard that Sweet Scent was sometimes used to that effect, but that move was characteristic for grass pok?mon...however...

"Zachary!" the boy called suddenly, a thought striking him, "You have to calm that Absol down! Do you have any moves that promote positive emotions? Do you..." he took a pause, "Does Luka know Attract? Or Charm?" he knew it was a long shot, and that the little Zigzagoon wasn't exactly the most charming of its species, but it was all he could think off at the moment, and he knew that that Fury Cutter needed to be put down immediately if the boy was to have any chance of winning.

OOC: Well, since we're going animeish with attacks, might as well do it properly. XD And yeah, Charm is an egg move for Zigzagoon so technically Luka could know it. Although you probably had something else in mind so it's up to you, Melissa. ^-^

Whoops, I guess I should get off my butt and write something now. XD

Kayley looked up from the battle as she heard Maxie call out, spotting the afforementioned Maxie, Jena, and.. Rai? Whoa, that was a relief.. She was almost so caught up in the fact that the whole group was together again that she nearly forgot about the battle right in front of her, if not for Rai shouting advice down to Zachary.

"Wow, never would've thought of that. I'd probably have panicked and put up another Substitute, only that's not too smart.." Kayley thought out loud, before taking up a proper wave to the three arrivals, smiling broadly.

{Yay! Everyone's back! Once Zack gets this battle over with we can all go out for smoothies! On the way to the Gym, of course. 'Cause I said so.} Fishy exclaimed from Kayley's head, his smile matching that of his Trainer's.

Of course, it ended abruptly when he noticed that Kinaki had silently arrived near Kayley's feet. For some reason she was swaying back and forth, as if she were listening to some kind of music.

{WHAT!? You're still following me!?} Fishy cried out, although not throwing Kayley out of her waving.

Kinaki instantly snapped out of her swaying to beam up at Fishy. {Of course, silly! You're my bestest bestest best friend in the whoooole forest, I gotta follow you!}

At this, a little part of the Mudkip on Kayley's head died inside.

OOC: *is supposed to be playing with her rabbit, but made him wait because this is more important* Oooh! Zachary's been given an interesting choice. However, Zachary's a very nice guy, so his answer might not be what Silver thinks he would answer. ^^

Zachary
============

"Stay outta this girlie!" Raven barked to Silver, spitting on the ground. She hated those annoying sappy types.

As Silver whispered into Zachary's ear, he felt a bit uncomfortable, for after all Silver was girl, and girls rarely whispered into his ear about anything. Her proposition was... a surprising one. What was under her helmet? Zachary had been curious... but... to find out in such a way? It was obviously very personal to her, and Zachary didn't want to have such a thing revealed to him as a payment in a bargain.

And how dare Silver say that he didn't care about his pokemon? There was nothing else more important to him. She had a point though... this battle was getting too fierce for a first-time. She was right, why hadn't he seen that it was getting too dangerous? He quickly came to his decision.

"No...," he said softly, avoiding Silver's eyes, "I don't want to know what's under your helmet Silver. You don't need to tell me." He lied of course, he had always been as curious as everyone else, but he knew that there were things that everyone had to hide, to keep secret to themselves. He had secrets, and it was obvious that the reason she had offered it was because she was desperate for the battle to stop. It was odd that she was so desperate that she would offer to tell Zachary her secret, but perhaps she was just being rash.

"I... I appreciate the offer Silver, but I'm going to end this battle anyway without you needing to do anything," he looked up at Raven and his voice got louder so that everyone else could hear as well, "This battle's gotten too out of hand! Your Absol is crazy Raven! Call it off! I forfeit!"

Raven looked livid, "That's not fair! I was winning! You can't call it off just because you're losing!" She threw an angry glare to Silver, blaming her for Zachary's change.

Ron was tired of this stupid battle as well, and raced over to where Luka was zig-zaggin to try and avoid the slicing blade of Nundu. The Aron was going to ignore the Murkrow for right now, and instead help out Luka. Nundu's blade was about to make contact with Luka, when Ron leapt out towards the side of Nundu's head and clawed at her with another Metal Claw.

"I'm not calling it off because I'm losing, I'm calling it off because Silver's right! This battle's going too far! Luka! Return!" Zachary called, aiming the Zigzagoon's ball toward the skirmish.

Nundu felt Ron's blow and instead turned her blade onto him, slicing at his metal body. This didn't have much effect though, and only made the Absol angrier. Luka was about to try a Headbutt, when the red light of her pokeball returned her to her ball.

"Ron! Return!" Zachary then recalled the little Aron, after Nundu got another enraged strike in.

With no opponent to battle, Nundu instead too her anger out on a nearby tree, slicing the bark up on it. A frowning Raven recalled both of her pokemon as well. "How dare you forfeit a battle like that?!" she yelled, walking up to Zachary and stopping about a foot away from him.

"I did it for my pokemon...," he said staring hard at her, his glance flickering to Silver for a moment, "You should have done the same."

Raven looked as if she were about to storm off, but paused glaring at Zachary and slapped him hard across the face. Zachary took it though, and with his face stinging, turned around to face Silver and the others as Raven ran off, looking frustrated.

"Ugh... she's pleasant...," Zachary said, rubbing his face, "Well, I'm glad that's over."

OOC: Must... leave to let out bunny. See ya' guys in little while!

OOC: Like, yay for Melissa's IC! ^0^ Although I wouldn't be surprised if Silver took offence at that response too ("What?! Isn't my secret good enough for you, huh?!"). XD Seriously though, it's time to get this thing moving again.

IC:

Rai watched the proceedings in silence, noting that his advice hadn't been heeded, but finding himself impressed by the other boy's decision. To simply call off a battle like that...oh, mother would have given him a right good trashing for even suggesting such a thing and Rai would probably not even have considered the option himself, had he been in Zachary's position, which was enough to make the boy feel a sting of shame in himself, seeing as how he had always thought that he was looking out for the very best interest of his pok?mon.

"That was...impressive." Rai said as Zachary turned to them, his face still reddened at the spot where Raven's slap had struck, "The way you handled that battle, I mean. It really takes a lot more courage to give up when it's in the pok?mon's best interest than it takes to go on." he gave the boy a friendly smile, chuckling slightly at his remark, "But yes, that girl really was quite a piece of work." his expression darkened a little, "She would really have made my mother proud, would she be her student..." there was obvious distaste in Rai's last sentence, the emotion so strong within him that he failed to realize what he had just let slip.

{ooc| Wh00t, we must not let this rp die. After all, Maxie and *** are my babies.... Not literally... ??;}

Maxie whistled. "Good move, Zack." If it had been Maxie battling, she never would have thought to pull out. She'd keep fighting, even to the end... and if it looked like she was about to lose, well, she'd just have to revert to some...unsavoury methods... It was the way Maxie had been brought up; losing just wasn't an option, and any methods were fine methods as long as they scored you a win. Maxie had never lost, never missed a target. Every job she was given she succeeded.
Thank god she would never have to target her friends.

Fang, as usual, never missed a trick. Rai's last comment got the zubat's mind ticking.
{Was your Mum a teacher, then?} Fang asked. Maxie blinked at her little bat. What his radar-like ears picked up never failed to astound her.
"Yeah, Rai, was your...mother... a teacher?" she asked, cocking her head slightly to one side.

IC:

Kayley watched in silence as Raven walked away, appalled at the girl's action. Sure, she would be pissed if her opponent backed out of a battle, but Zack had a good reason for his actions. That slap certainly looked and had sounded like it smarted..

"I second that notion." Kayley said simply in conjunction with Rai and Maxie's comments, while Fishy squirmed uncomfortably on her head because Kinaki was weirding him out. "What you did was very.. Honorable."

{Right, then. Can we get moving, please? And YOU!} Fishy exclaimed, standing up and pointing at the Mawile on the ground. {You stay here and stop following us! You're practically all better now!} Fishy exclaimed again, wagging his tail fin.

"Please stop doing that, Fishy.." Kayley whispered, turning back to the others and beginning to wait for the others to finish their conversation, while the Mawile near her started giggling for some unknown reason in response to Fishy.

OOC: Gah, I'm getting sleep and school starts early tommorow...pfiffle, one last IC before I go to sleep...

IC:

Rai almost flinched visibly at Maxie's question, only now realising his mistake. He sighed inwardly, knowing that he was now forced to tell yet another half-truth to his friends...yes, they were better of not knowing, even if they didn't realize it themselves.

"In a sense, I suppose..." the boy replied, "You see, she used to be a proffessional trainer in her day, she even conqured the Showgan league once, although she lost that position quite quickly. Regardless, she's taken up training disciples, trainers whose style of battling appeals to her. She wanted me to become one too, but..." Rai frowned, "I just couldn't do it...the strategies she favoured, the things she taught...they just...weren't me, and the kind of people she considered her best students..." the boy shivered, "Let's just say that Harlan is her proudest achievement and leave it at that, shall we? I-I would rather not discuss this anymore, if that's okay with you." he cast a glance around the group, holding Kaika a bit closer to himself and drawing comfort from the fire pok?mon's presence "These are things I'd rather forget if I could."

OOC: Oh, I'm sure Silver will. ^-^ Poor Zachary, the boy can never get things out the way he means them. Not to mention he has no idea about how Silver feels. He might act differently if he did know. *shrug* That's the beauty of Clumetshipping. XD

And yes, let's get this going again!

o.o Um, Charon, I think you forgot the n in 'Fang' in you OOC. XD And what do you mean they're not your babies?!!!! Noooooo!!! /weirdness.

Oh! And Alter has new pokes in his T-Card! At least... they're new to me... ^-^;;

Zachary
============

"Heh, well, I guess it was a tough decision, but no stupid battle's worth my pokemon's health. I'm not that kind of guy. Plus, it was all going to be over soon anyway with that Perish Song. Thank you for the advice Rai, and coincidently, Luka does know Charm, though I just don't think she could have pulled it off in that state she was in. Eh, I'll keep it in mind should there ever be a rematch," Zachary said in response to his friends.

They were being so nice, and his cheek really did hurt. Whoever said girl slaps were weak must have had a rock for a face. All of them seemed a bit shocked about his decision. Would they all have gone through with it? Continued battling despite the crazy look in that Absol's eyes... the blatant disregard that Raven had for her pokemon? Zachary stopped his thoughts... he was going to continue. If it weren't for Silver freaking out, would he have stopped? Or would he have kept going too? Battling was like a power struggle, or like a game, it was always about winning, and sometimes you would get too caught up in thinking of pokemon as being chess pieces on a battlefield or soliders to use at your disposal. It was very easy to forget that it's actually your good friend battling it out and think of it instead as a fierce monster. Zachary felt a little ashamed that he had let it get so far. Nothing bad had happened, but Zachary liked friendly, fun battles much better than the kind he had just been in; why did he even agree to it?

It was because she was her daughter. That was why. He wanted to stick it to Xena's daughter, that's what. Zachary made himself promise in his mind not to let himself get too caught up in revenge for his mother. His mother wouldn't be too proud of that.

After Rai was finished with his explanation, Zachary nodded. "We won't ask you any more Rai. I know there are things I'd like to forget from my past too. Though, I must say that your Mom and the gym leader Xena sound like they could be good buddies," he smiled a bit, and turned away, "Let's get going then!" He took a step and faultered as he tripped on Diglett that had popped up momentarily.

{ACK! How RUDE!} the Diglett snorted, scampering quickly back into the ground whence it came.

"Ah!" Zachary righted himself though, and wiped his forehead, "Whew, thought I was about to fall for a moment."

OOc-
I like,seem to be lagging behind in both RPs today.*sigh*XD

Clumetshipping!!!!^0^*waves banners and takes picceh of Silver whispering into Zachary's ear*

Yay for proof!!!^^

Ic-

"Eh,great going there Zach."Jena smiled weakly as Zachary forfeited the battle between himself and Raven.Too bad about that nasty slap though.It must've hurt.

The girl then turned to stare at Rai as he said that his mother had..students,was it?Maxie asked the question before she had a chance to even open her mouth.She then listened,rather interested as Rai stated his mother was one of those people.People like Zhena.Her mother was more or less like what Rai had described his one as.Scratch the fact about his mother considering that only a few were her best students.
Zhena and Kendo would go and on about how everyone was at his or her best.Blah.
Jena however,decided not to comment.It wasn't the best thing to do,considering the look on Rai's face,he must've felt uncomfortable talking about his mother.

OOc-
Meep!!O_O
I've plentiful Feebas homework to do.>_<;;;;

OCC: Heh.. Alter.. Melissa... you're wrong..

IC:

I see.. Zachary's not interested in my secret? Well.. he probably knew I wasn't really very wanting to tell anyone what's under my helmet..Silver grinned at the thought of that.. "Well.. I'm glad you heeded my advice and ended the battle.." She rubbed her right hand against Zachary's cheek and asked softly.. "Does it hurt..?" Silver was sure she wanted to offer a kiss on his cheek.. but she just didn't feel right about it.. I don't want him to start freaking out over this whole matter.. I can't let him know how I feel for him.. "Oops.. Sorry.. I was just getting a little worried bout the slap.." taking her right hand off Zachary's cheek..

OOC: Heh, I was just kidding about that one, actually. Because somehow I have the feeling that Silver wouldn't feel inclined to snap at the boy she loves so very much, unless he would be getting too friendly with Amelia, of course. XDDD

But...d'aww, clumetshipping is cute. ^0^

IC:

"Thank you..." Rai said, giving Zachary a smile, "For respecting my privacy. It's not that I don't trust you guys or anything, it's just...well, like I said, these aren't memories that I'm proud of...maybe, maybe later on I might feel inclined to talk, once we get to know each other a bit more...we'll see..." he gave the group an apologetic smile and fell silent, unable to resist smiling a bit as Silver approached Zachary and touched his cheek. Although this made the boy remember that he had promised Amelia to deliver her greetings, common sense told him that this was alltogether the wrong moment for that. Sometimes, he believed, one had to place the greater good above honesty, and this was definitely one of those moments. The way Silver had touched Zachary...it reminded him of times gone by...far more recent times, though, how long had it been now? Two years? What did it matter? It was better to forget than to suffer...he didn't have a choice, not really...not the kind of choice he could ever have brought himself to make. What he did...had been for the best, the best of both of them. Although the boy couldn't help wondering if he couldn't have done better, tried a little harder, done something other than what he had...it seemed so...cowardly. The boy found himself hoping that what seemed to be going on between his two friends wasn't too resemblant of his own memory. Weird though she was with her sudden and seemingly irrate outbursts, Silver was still his friend, and Zachary...well, he was clumsy of course, both verbally and physically, but his heart was in the right place and he knew a good deal of things intuitively which Rai's endless books and studies had never taught him. He certainly didn't wish that kind of harm on either of them. Suddenly realizing how rude it was off him to stare like he did, the boy immediately averted his eyes, turning his attention to Kaika instead and proceeding to slowly stroke the fire pok?mon's furr, enjoying the softness of it and the warmth of the Vulpix's body. The little fox himself was slightly at loss about why he had suddenly recieved such attention but didn't complain, merely remaining quiet and enjoying the moment...yes...people should do this more often in the fire type's opinion...just be quiet and enjoy life...

OOC: *gasp* I was wrong?! Eh, I can never guess what others will do anyway. Makes it more enjoyable at least. ^^;

Zachary
============

"Ah...," Zachary flinched a little when Silver had touched his cheek, not because of pain, but because of surprise. Nobody... really ever touched him. He tried not to let his mind do too much thinking, Silver was just a friend that was concerned for him. Yes, that was it. For some reason he was very glad that Ron was not seeing this, the pokemon probably would have exploded with laughter.

As soon as Silver apologized for touching his cheek, Zachary looked at her, "Oh... uh, don't worry about it. I- you- well, it's alright." Hm, that came out weird. Girlish behavior like that always made Zachary's head mess up more than usual and now it looked like he was a stupid oaf. Zachary was once again glad that Ron was not out at the moment.

OOc-

Jena grinned as Silver touched Zachary's cheek,where Raven had slapped.That was just so cute!The girl then proceeded to look away,after all,it was rude to stare at someone.Let alone it be Silver.

Still,with the mention of Rai's mother,the Coordinator was forced to remember her own parents.True,they said all of their students were perfect,unbeatable and great.All except her.Being their daughter had changed no thing,both Zhena and Jendo treated her as one of their students.Was her mother going to send out people to look for her?Probably not.They wouldn't waste their strongest people looking for their measly daughter.

Possibly one of those short Ninja boys who loved poking their toy swords at her and other people's eyes.Eh,this wasn't the time to be thinking about this.The sooner they got to the gym,the sooner they'd leave Azure.

"Eh.So..we going?"Jena brought her hands behind her back while rocking back and forth,feeling rather uneasy for spoiling the brief silence.

{ooc| GoshIamsolazytoday. In my art lesson, I spent an hour painting my hands with PV glue. Then in science I picked it all off. In History, I drew a foxy licking his foot. In German, I gave this foxy stitches, bandages, wings, earrings and a bloody paw, curtesy of a red biro. It looked quite cool.
Though you ought ta know.}

At Rai's words, Maxie felt her skin crawl. Her own memories... they were best left locked away. When you worked in Maxie's field, if you dwelled in the past you were most likely to get stabbed in the back in the present. For her, recollections brought... depression... frustration... anger. For a moment, she wondered what Rai was embaressed about. He probably made a bad move with a girl, or something similiarily fickle.

She turned her mind back to that tender touch that passed between Zachary and Silver, and wrenched her eyes away. Her stomach churned, her body almost aching with envy. I wish I was Silver... or Jena or Kayley... she tried to shake the jealously from her mind, but it was always there. I wish... I wish... her gloved fingers traced along the scars that marred her face, feeling the grooves and bumps through the leather.

Maxie looked up at Jena's words. I shouldn't be dwelling on these things... she thought bitterly.
"Yeah, we've wasted half the day already, unless we get moving soon we'll be walking in the dark."
