OOC:

Certain people will know what I'm talking about when I say most of my dreams are overly weird and unmentionable.

Y'know, there was actually one dream when I saw a 2-D picture of a tire on a pink background. When I saw it I burst into tears because for some reason it made me think of my dad leaving the country. o.O And then I woke up all tear-stained. Fuh-reaky.

Ah, good times.

IC:

Kayley, now grinning with energy (because she was so darn happy about going downhill), turned to comment as Jena finished speaking. "I agree with Zach, too. Everybody has a problem of their own.. No amount of money can change that. And before I get too long-winded, I mean to say that your reasons were perfectly understandable, Rai." She lowered her head slightly before adding, "Besides, our friendship shouldn't end just because you didn't tell us who your mother was. That's kinda silly in my eye."

Clutching her case tightly with both hands now, Kayley slowly returned to a state of trudging along at a steady pace as her brief moment of energy faded away. It didn't help that the trumpet was getting heavier with every step.. Good thing she had made Fishy walk when she did. Well, she did feel kinda bad for doing that, but he did have his Pokeball to return to when he got tired..

{I know what you're thinking, Kay-Kay!} Fishy kipped, a good distance in front of Kayley at this point. {Heh, I'm not tired in the least! You can forget worrying about lil' ol' me!} He concluded happily, his tail wagging as he continued downward.

"..That's just freaky, Fishy."

OOC: Like, Charon...you had super-effective moves? Lucky bug. xD I faced the E4 a while back too, with my haxxy Wailord/Swampert/Hariyama/Altaria/Camerupt/Claydol combination. *Dies* I swept through the elites without any major problems, but Wallace nearly nailed me with his haxxy little Gyarados because of my type coverage problem. >.< Luckily the N00B's Gyarados had Hyper Beam instead of Return, though, so once it had run out of those I just put Chichiro up to tank and buff up with Dragon Dance while he tried in vain to win with Surf (and sometimes even Earthquake xD) then swept through what remained of his little team before they could launch a single attack. But...your Gardevoir...please tell me that it doesn't have Rest. It can't have Rest. Resting Gardevoirs make my Cradily cry. ;.; Gardevoir is way too frail to be an effective rester, a good Gardevoir looks like so;

Psychic
Thunderbolt
Calm Mind/Fire Punch
Hypnosis/Will-O-Wisp

With Bold nature because that combined with Will-O-Wisp and Gardevoir's high Sp.Defense actually makes it almost decent at taking hits long enough to get in a few Calm Minds and start hurting things. Oh, and never ever give Shock Wave to anything that can learn Thunderbolt! Shock Wave = The definition of suckadelicness.

Anyways, this will have to remain a pointless (And only half-finished) OOC at the moment because I'm being shooed off the computer. *Stabbs computer restrictions*

{ooc| *eats you* well, I had this fantastic idea that when my Gardevoir used rest her Synchronise would make the foe fall asleep aswell, BUT NO, gamefreak doesn't work like that. So occasionally I give her chesto berry to wake her up early, but other than that she seems to manage just fine with rest. Hypnosis annoyed me, it never seemed to work and the pokemon always woke after two or three turns.
Shock wave is handy! Seriously! Have you ever tried to hit anything with thunderbolt once it's used doubleteam once or twice? ARRGH, I get so annoyed when attacks miss. I want to kill people.
Still, Persephone is one of my most competent battlers due to her naturally scarily high special attack. Yay.

My scariest dream I've ever had was when I was about five. I dreamt I had a party with my friends, and we were all wearing masks. My best friend had a Princess Jasmine mask. For some reason there were cobwebs everywhere in my house, but they were purple. Anyway, my best friend took her mask off - but it took all her skin off too! Then all my other friends joined in! They attacked me!
That was Majora's Mask's fault, I reckon.}

Maxie smiled wryly. "You're an okay kinda guy, Rai. I mean, you're not selfish and you treat your pokemon okay. In my book, that's all that matters." She paused as Jena and Rai began to talk about their parents' disaproval. No matter what they did, Maxie guessed hers would disapprove of her life style. She was jealous of all four of them; their parents might not approve, nor shower them with love at every waking moment, but at least they knew their parents. A face smiling out of a photoframe and a few newspaper clippings - that was all she had of her mother and father.

For a moment, Maxie just stared at the horizon.
Then she turned to Kayley. "I agree with you, Zach speaks wise words for one so clumsy!" she patted the brown-haired boy warmly, if not slightly roughly, on the back, ignoring her twinging hand. She smiled brightly
"Well, poor people's problems and rich people's problems don't matter from now on, right? From this point onwards, our problems are each other's problems!"
For the forth time in these past days, Maxie felt strangely at home, strangely confident, and strangely unified. It was the sort of...well, confidence... she had only ever had with Fang. To share it with other human beings was... she couldn't explain it.

During the conversation, Fang had remained eerily quiet.
What on earth is she thinking? Fang thought angrily, wrapping his wings around himself. Next minute she'll be telling them all about us, and... and THEM. He glanced to her, but Maxie's attention was elsewhere. Why are you betraying us, Maxie? Why? he asked silently, not wanting a reply.

OOC:

Majora's Mask.. Ah, good times. Deku Link ish teh cutest 'cause of that sad face. Hee. :O

Oh, and while we're talking about we're talking about Gardevoirs.. I just remembered my awkward dilema. You see, the first Ralts I ever caught had a Modest nature.

Best. Catch. Ever.

However, you have to breed for Will-O-Wisp. I had to give up the Modest nature, dangit! ;; ;; ;; So now I'm raising the Quiet offspring Gardevoir who has Will-O-Wisp. But.. since I value y'all's opinion..

Should I just replace Will-O-Wisp with something on my Modest Gardevoir and raise that one?

Or.. should I continue raising the Quiet Gardevoir (with Will-O-Wisp) up from Lv. 53?

Or should I start trying to breed for a better nature again? It took nine tries to finally get to the Quiet nature, which was the only one I could remotely use. ;;

Oh, and I don't really plan on putting this Gardevoir on my team, since it would kind of throw off my dynamics.. I'm raising 'em for fun. xD Well, it might come in handy one day, you know..

*will wait a bit 'till another IC*

OOC: Meh, I had similar plan about using Facade on a Sleep Talker with Guts (Thinking that the 'Sleep' status would double Facade's power and activate the Guts trait for another doubling, you see) but it turns out that Facade only gains power from Poison, Paralysis, and Burn. xP Also, Chesto-resting is a very N00B thing, yes it is. Only works once and then leaves you screwed. -.- As for Shock Wave...handy? Puh-lease, it's got a base power of 60 (Unlike Thunderbolt's 95) and couldn't even OHKO a Gyarados or a Mantine. Besides, only N00B opponents use evasion and accuracy modifiers. xP

As for your Ralts/Gardevoir dilemma Plushie, did you have that Ralts carrying an Everstone? That would have increased your chances of getting a Modest one, you know. Oh well, unless you feel like breeding some more then I'd say go for the Quiet one, cos' Will-O-Wisp rocks and it should give your Gardevoir enough defensive capability to survive at least for a while. They aren't really mind-bogglingly fast anyways.

IC:

A relieved smile cross Rai's face as he noticed that the others, despite what he had feared, didn't seem to think worse of him, or his decisions. To the contrary, they were supportive. Well, Maxie still said things in her own way, but the boy figured that he had gotten the point of what she was saying all the same, and considering the kind of things she had said when they first met that was probably quite the compliment by her standards. And Jena...despite all the 'sort of's and other words of indefinence, that look in her eyes seemed to say that she knew far more of what he was talking about than what she was letting on. But why was she being so secretive about it? After the way in which the others had just accepted the secret he had kept from them, Rai couldn't for the life of him understand what could be so dark and terrible in Jena's background that she didn't dare to share it with anyone. Surely someone as kind and innocent as Jena couldn't have done anything horrible? No, of course she couldn't have, Rai couldn't even picture a situation like that. Arrogant people like Railey, certainly, maybe even the rough kind of people like Maxie, but not Jena. Still, perspective changed all, and for all the boy knew, Jena's secret could very well have been something she had been ashamed of and hiding for ages. The question was, did he have the right to pry into something like that? Did he have any reason to learn? And indeed, did he even want to learn? Granted, it was nice to have people who actually cared about you, friends, real friends...but was he really ready to get so...involved with others' concerns? Particularly Maxie's last words troubled him; "Well, poor people's problems and rich people's problems don't matter from now on, right? From this point onwards, our problems are each other's problems!"

Share everyone's problems? But he had so many of his own to deal with, what if they would be too much? What if he would spend the rest of his life fighting for causes that weren't his own? What if...what if these weren't real friends after all? What if they were just looking to pass on their problems to him and then go off to enjoy their newfound freedom? There were so many thoughts darting back and forth in Rai's mind, but the sincerity with which Maxie had spoken had still gotten to him, and he didn't have the heart to give any other answer than the one she had wished for, even if it frightened him at the same time.

"Allright, that's a deal." he said, doing his best to maintain good cheer in both words and expression and wishing that he could have said that with all his heart, still, it would hopefully be enough, and the others would probably chime in and the boy's little lack of passion for the pact would go unnoticed...if indeed there was anything to notice, for it could just as well have only been Rai's mind playing tricks on him. Yes, it was probably just that, no-one would notice his little weakness. No-one...

Eh? Alter you know too much. Seriously. ^-^

Anyway, I had a dream last night that I was in my public speaking class giving a speech on Fire Emblem (yeah, I wish XD). Unfortunately there was this girl from my Botany class there, Kelcie, and she was acting like her usual, "I'm the smartest specialest bestest person" self. Ugh, I hate that girl I swear. And then my PowerPoint presentation wouldn't work right and the whole thing was a disaster. ;_; Whatever.

BTW, Charon, your dream about your friends scares me. .___. But Link is cute as a Deku. I like the funny chirpy sounds he makes. ^^

Zachary
================

After Maxie had patted him on the back, Zachary almost fell over. "Ack!" he choked, lucky able to catch himself before falling, "Clumsy... oh yeah, I forgot about that."

{You forgot?! My dear boy you really must've been preoccupied,} Ron said in a stuffy tone, who had leapt away as soon as Maxie had patted him on the back, instinct telling him that Zachary's clumsiness would kick in double time when reminded of it again.

"Wow Maxie I didn't know you could sound so... friendly. I mean, you weren't exactly nice when I first met you," Zachary said, commenting on Maxie's statement about friendship and problems, "Though I agree with you; enough of this rich guy poor guy stuff. Those are things for adults to debate about anyway. We're on a pokemon journey!" Suddenly Zachary's stomach rumbled loudly.

"Uh... I guess I'm hungry," he said, pausing in his step, "It's been forever since I've eaten anything!"

Zachary hadn't noticed Rai's half-hearted response to Maxie's statement. He was thinking of other things, and was not the kind of person to pick up on such subtle signs. The boy couldn't even notice Silver's crush, he surely wasn't about to notice Rai sounding a little less enthusiastic.

{ooc| I really think someone should kill Alter. Stupid crude know-it-all man *sulks*
Joking, joking ^^;
*returns to training her houndoom up to level 50*

I really miss my N64. Poor thing self-destructed a few years back. I've still got all my catridges, but no console. Most of the Ninties I see lack the adapter lead (which the english people need due to spastic power systems) or have blown-out fans. I think Goron Link was the cutest, though!}

Maxie squinted at Zachary in a scrutinising way. "I wasn't nice?" Maxie scrunched up her eyes, struggling to remember. It had been less than two days ago, but so muhc had happened! It felt more like four months and twenty-four days had passed! "Oh yeah. Well, I had just lost my Sephy then, so I guess I was in a bad mood. But.... I'm also not very keen on... people, y'know? I tend to snap at strangers."

She glanced over at Rai as he replied. He didn't seem paticularily stimulated by her prospect. "What about a bit more passion, Rai?" Maxie asked teasingly. "Like Zachary said, it's a pokemon journey!"
Unlike Zachary, the dungeree-clad girl managed to pick out Rai's dulcet tones. However, she wasn't the bets when it came to human emotions; she wasn't the sort of girl that managed to link lack of enthusiasm with doubt. She and Fang were birds of a feather; they weren't the smartest of creatures, and what intelligence they possessed was raw and blunt. Making those subtle links... that was a bit beyond Maxie.
As the conversation turned back to food, she couldn't help but agree. "A warm shower, and then some delicious home-cooked food!"
Maxie laughed, and patted her stomach enthusiastically, albiet gently. It was hard to imagine Maxie eating anything; she was so skinny she looked practically emacipated.

The nidoran that crouched in the undergrowth was still watching the group. As they moved down the mountain, he moved with them, his little pink form darting through the foliage with suprising agility.

OOC:

Thank you for saying that, Alter.. I didn't have much to do at my Grandma's apartment today, so I trained that Quiet Gardevoir up to Lv. 63. LUCKY EGGS. THEY RAWK.

And before I forget.. maybe I should use that Gardevoir on my team. I don't know. Here's how I see it:

My team right now ish Alakazam/Misdreavus/Tauros/Camerupt/Blaziken/Swampert. Wouldn't a Gardevoir work better because she kinda has more staying power than Alakazam?

IC:

"When you put it that way.." Kayley began, after thinking about Zach's comments. "..I guess I could agree. Yeah, that sounds pretty good." She concluded, saying nothing more. To be truthful, she didn't really want to force her problems on anyone else. Most of them were silly anyway.. most of them. As she looked to the others for their reaction's to Maxie's pact, she couldn't help but notice that Rai seemed to be hesitating in quite the same way as she. Perhaps he had the same reasons.. The growing weight of the trumpet case distracted Kayley from thinking of it further.

{Ooh, looks like we're almost there. As soon as we're all refreshed and everything I'm getting myself a smoothie. A strawberry smoothie, yes.} Fishy kipped, leaping down the mountain at the same pace he had started off with. Apparently the battle had given him an energy boost that he hadn't really needed.

After answering Rai, Jena had nothing else to do but listen in on the conversations which were still on going and concentrate on climbing down the mountain. As Zachary mentioned about him being hungry, she herself finally realised that she too, seemed to need food. Remembering that the last they had eaten was the breakfast they had in the morning. It seemed so far away, but that was because it was a long time back, even though it really didn't seem like it. Probably because too many things started happening one after another, keeping them preoccupied to think of their hunger. Perhaps that could be settled after she got a shower.

Though, with these new thoughts in her head, and what Maxie had said not long back. 'Well, poor people's problems and rich people's problems don't matter from now on, right? From this point onwards, our problems are each other's problems." the girl noticed that when Rai agreed to it, he didn't seem to be all too enthusiastic. But then again, she wasn't even replying, was she?

"Eh...you're right! And I agree!"Jena couldn't help but feel a stab of guilt somewhere deep down in her heart. Keeping a a straight face was hard and so was trying one's best to sound like one meant it. It wasn't her intention to lie. It wasn't her intention to burden. So...what was her intention?

OOC: Well, someone has to know these things. xD Oh, and in case someone didn't know,the same applies if one of the parents is a Ditto. In an extreme case, if one of the parents is a Ditto holding an Everstone then the nature should be a 50/50 between the two parents' natures. And of course, if there's a pokémon with Flame Body or Magma Armor in your party then all eggs will hatch twice as fast. Pwhee for knowing way too much! ^0^ And incidentally, if you've got a pokémon with Synchronize in the first slot of your party then there's a 50% chance that any wild pokémon you encounter will have the same nature, just as having a Cute Charm pokémon in the first slot increases the chance of an opposite gender pokémon appearing by 50%. Oookay...I'd better stop here before someone starts staring at me funny and calls the asylum. xD

As for your team decision Plushie...well, Zam is a great sweeper whereas Gardevoir is only decent at tanking. But still, it's true that burning an opponent or two would do wonders for your team defense. Nothing like a good Dusclops of course, but still...so yeah, it's your choice. I think both of those work though.

IC:

Rai felt a stab of fear in him at Maxie's comment, but managed to maintain his act as the girl didn't seem to bother with pondering any more about the subject.

"Sorry..." the boy replied, offering an apologetic smile, "It's just the fatigue and the hunger getting to me, I guess." It was true, his hunger had been one of the things that Rai hadn't noticed with all of the commotion going on, but now that everything seemed to have been said and done for the day, it had come back with a vengeance, luckily Rai had never been one to eat much or the hunger would probably have crippled him during his battle. "And I'm thinking that I'm not the only one on that." he added as Jena too seemed a bit unenthusiastic, "Can't journey on an empty stomach, right? Let's go get something to eat once we reach town. There might still be some place open."

OOC: Okay Alter, now you're just showing off. =/

Just kidding. ^-^ How could we make fun of the guy we turn to for game advice? You know, you should start charging money for your info. Though, I don't know how you'd do that on the Internet. ... Credit card number anyone? XD

Zachary
=============

As the made their way to find somewhere to go, Zachary suddenly wondered what the next gym leader they faced would be like. There had to be nice ones! Wait... if Rai's mother was a gym leader... then wouldn't they have to face her sometime? Wouldn't he have to face her sometime?! Zachary wondered if Rai was worried about that. He really couldn't imagine his mother acting as Rai described his.

His mother! He should call her when they get back to the center. She worries about him, and more importantly, he worried about her. What if something happened to her? They didn't live in the best neighborhood. There was Ty to watch over her, but he could only do so much. He wasn't very young, so if there was ever a threat....

He looked down at his pack's new Celebi keychain. His mom was so sweet to give him things when she barely had enough money to buy food for herself. She was probably getting something else for him right now.

Suddenly Zachary thought of his fears about his recent anger outbursts. He had to control himself better; he couldn't become his father. He just couldn't. The thought of making any girl, woman, or his mom, look like his mother used to look when his father was mad made him sick.

Ron frowned, {Zach? Are you thinking about old times again?}

"Nope," he replied, putting his smile back on, "I was thinking about the times that are yet to come."

Ron tilted his head, blinking a little, and figured that since Zachary was smiling again, it was okay.

OOC:

Ah, yes, the many uses of Magma Armor. *pats Apathy*

She's the reason I didn't go crazy trying to breed for a Modest Ralts. =D Oh yes, and that would be Magma the Camerupt with a name change, by the way. 'Cause Apathy suited her much better, I'd say. And the Name Rater rewarded me for it with the most amusement I've had in.. a little while.

The Name Rater said:
Today, I shall do a reading of the nickname Apathy of Plushie's Pokemon Camerupt.

Hmhm.. Hmm.. This nickname is..

A nickname that will nurture the caring and compassionate side of the Pokemon. If raised properly, this Pokemon will come to exhibit real warmth!

Once the conversation had switched to hunger and finding a place to eat, Kayley fell silent, as if she were daydreaming again. Fishy, on the other hand, was showing no signs of spacing out, unless of course you counted chasing imaginary Beautifly as spacing out. Kayley could only imagine how he managed to burst with energy after a Gym Battle..

But suddenly, out of no-where, the girl felt something very hard to describe. Kind of like the feeling that someone was watching them. Wait, was someone really watching them?

Kayley immediately turned her head to look behind the group and up the mountain for a bit. Maybe it was that Psychic guy from earlier trying to play a trick on her.. No, he seemed like the type to go off somewhere and sulk over his loss. Kayley bit her lip, glancing at the nearby brush before turning back towards the others.

"Hey.. Does anybody get the feeling that we're being watched?" She asked softly, hugging her trumpet case close.

OOc-

*doesn't play her Emerald version unless she's having a holiday of some sort* My mom's like, taking my DS and keeping it under a lock and key.XD
Atleast I still have the comp!^0^

Like, Plushie's new display picceh is so....mesmerising.*stares*

Ic-

"....Eh?"Jena looked up at Kayley's statement, blinking her eyes. She noticed a sort of pressence somewhere near them. The girl wanted to slap herself on the head for not realising any earlier, if her parents found out.... Well, she didn't want to think about it now.

"Eh, I think its coming from.."the Coordinator decided not to finish, pointing to the bushes nearby instead. It seemed small, too small to be a trainer. "Its either a Pokemon or small child...of some sort." Jena had never thought of herself as someone who had good observatoin skills or anything, but decided to voice out anyway. "Eh, of course I could be wrong..."she added, glancing towards the bushes, wondering if 'it' could hear them, most probably.

Maxie shook her head confidently. "It's probably just some wild pokemon, wondering what we're-"
{Shhh!} Fang interupted, waving his wings. {Listen!}
Sure enough, a low, angry growling could be heard from the bushes
"It's probably just a wild pokemon that wants a battle then, stop-"

In a flurry of foliage, the nidoran threw itself from it's hiding place with startling speed. Maxie jumped backwards, yelping from shock. It stood with it's back arched, a low growl emitting from his throat. For a moment, it looked like it would turn and dart back into the undergrowth, but his eyes fell on Zachary - and he attacked.
Lunging forward, the nidoran went straight for the boy - You're just him! I hate you! - but Maxie had already recovered from her initial shock.
"Fang, supersonic!" she yelled, and the zubat leapt into action, zig-zagging towards the nidoran. He opened his mouth and let out a blast of sonar, a noise so high-pitched it was almost painfull to listen to. The nidoran slowed, but didn't stop. For a moment, it looked like Fang's attack had failed - and then the nidoran tripped, and fell flat on his face.

Maxie punched the air. "Nice one, Fang!"
The nidoran shook his head fiercely, and turned his scarlet eyes from Zachary to Fang. He growled again, and lowered his head.
The bat gave an uncertain squeak. {...M-maxie...}
The girl, however, had a determined look in her eye; she grinned, and turned to the others.
"Mind if I try and catch this one, guys?" she asked. There was someting about the nidoran that sparked her interest - and something told her he would be an excellent member to her team.

{ooc| I thought it was time Maxie got her third pokemon....
lol Plushie! I can't say the namerater has ever said anything funny to me, but he did say Persephone's name was well befitting for a contest pokemon. Evil though she only battles. xD
It's Mother's Day today in England!}

OOC: Ahem, fourth pokémon, actually...she's already got *Counts on fingers* Fang, What-A-Mess, and Minerva. That's three. PH33R my maths skills! XO

And Plushie...that prediction you got from the name rater made me smile. xD Ahh...the small pleasures of life. ^^ Oh, and I do agree...Apathy fits a Camerupt perfectly.

IC:

{Meep!} Kaika let out a frightened yelp as a Nidoran suddenly sprang forth from the undergrowth, the fox pokémon nearly leaping out of Rai's grip out of sheer panic, although luckily, the boy managed to maintain his grip, taking a cautious step backwards from the agitated pokémon. It sure was an aggressive little thing, glaring hatefully at them all as it was, and the sharp ears and horn only served to amplify that effect. Judging by the colouring the creature was probably considerably poisonous as well, lovely...just lovely. Rai was rather relieved by Maxie's question.

"Go ahead." he replied politely, even as the thought of the dirty and temperamental little creature travelling with them didn't exactly thrill him. Still, at least he wouldn't have to go through the trouble of trying to make the little beast obey.

{ooc| Shush Alter ¬¬;
For your meanness, you must pay!
*drags her female Spinda to the name rater*
I call thee… ALTER!! Mwahahahaha….}

Maxie grinned enthusiastically. Kaika looked distinctly worried by the situation, as did Fang; after all, he was hardly an adept battler, and this nidoran looked positively rabid. He shot a glance at his trainer. Maxie looked pretty ferocious too, on second thoughts, with that huge determined grin stretched across her face. Fang thought she was quite insane, wanting to capture this horrible pokemon; still, it was no good arguing with her when she was like this.
Once she's calmed down, he thought, I'll guilt-trip her into releasing that horrible thing…
This made him feel slightly better. As the nidoran broke into another galloping tackle, Fang readied himself for the fight.

The nidoran leapt, hitting Fang in mid-air with a Horn Attack. The Zubat was thrown backwards, but he managed to catch himself before he hit the ground and turn his fall into an elegant glide. The nidoran crashed to the ground, skidding off to one side.

"Fang! Wing Attack!" Maxie snapped, and the Zubat darted forward with the agility only a flying type could muster. In a flash, Fang dived down to attack. Only, he didn't surface. The nidoran had him, gripped between his front paws.
"Astonish!" The girl shouted. For a moment, it looked like Fang would panic. He froze up, and his mouth shrunk in fear. Maxie bit her lip. Come on, Fang… she willed him.
Finally, he seemed to stir. Fang lunged forward with his teeth bared, and the nidoran flinched and released him. Fang beat his wings and flew upwards, albeit erratically, full of relief. Maxie, too, felt a soaring wave of reprieve. She loved her pokemon desperately; just seeing him in pain felt like she was being crushed from the inside out.
"Don't stop, Fang! Bite him!" she yelled hoarsely.
Fang's brow furrowed. He darted forward, his teeth bared, and his fangs snapped shut around the nidoran's back like a vicegrip.

Maxie, meanwhile, was fumbling in her bag for a pokeball.

OOC: *dies laughing* Teehee! A female Spinda named Alter... that's too much. You should teach it Hyper Beam if it can learn it. XD Oh yeah!

Zachary
=============

"A Nidoran? Is it a girl or a boy?" Zachary asked, curiously, "I always get the two confused." It was silly, but he truly did always forget which was which; it was something unimportant to him.

It was good to see Maxie trying for a pokemon, he hadn't seen her catch one yet, and it was a reminder to him to get going with his own pokemon catching. If only Electron hadn't been on a mission... he could've caught it.

Ron stood on his hind legs and curled his front paws into a crude resemblance of fists. {Yeah! Get him Fang! He looks as if he wants a battle!} Ron said, getting excited. It was nice to see a battle that wasn't with some evil person that could potentially get dangerous. It was just a little Nidoran.

OOC:

Plushie checked, but alas, Spinda cannot learn Hyper Beam. However, I have a solution!

Spinda (F) @ Petaya Berry ** Alter
Trait: Own Tempo
Crude Nature
~ Double Team
~ Teeter Dance
~ Swagger
~ Protect

Okay, so you, like, confuse your opponent with Teeter Dance, and then Swagger a couple times 'cause it's a cool move and will raise your attack, and then you start Double Teaming. If you are afraid your opponent will hit you, just use Protect. And the whole thing starts over again until you run out of PP. When that happens, you Struggle the opponent into submission using all the boosts you got from Swagger!!! Oh, and eventually the Petaya Berry will activate, giving you another boost, which well help your team eventually, trust me.

I am teh moveset god!!!!!

IC:

{Dude, that was.. really random.} Fishy stated, wagging his tail. He peered at the Nidoran curiously as Fang went in for a Bite, tilting his head to one side. {But I don't mind, because I'm much too tired to care right now.} Kayley decided it was better if she didn't ask, backing away from the battle as it waged on, wishing that Maxie would find that Pokeball within the next few moments.

She looked away from the Nidoran at Zach's question, though, resisting the urge to raise one eyebrow. "Well, since it's a neat shade of purple, I'd say it's a boy." She replied, slightly relaxing her grip on her case.

OOC: Why thank you...that's just what I needed in addition to some random person jabbing my throat in Jujitsu practice and thus forcing me to spend the rest of the evening pressing paper towels soaked in cold water against my throat to keep it from swelling up and all that loveliness. This was precisely what I needed...[/Sarcasm]

Sorry, but my throat still hurts and I'm really not in the mood for this kind of bussiness at the moment. <.<

IC:

"A boy most definitely." Rai concured with Kayley's response, "Only the males grow horns like that." he nodded towards the Nidoran's quite sizeable horn, which was currently aimed at Fang, "Males sting, females bite, that's how I memorized it."

The boy tightened his grip of Kaika a bit, taking a precautionary step back as Maxie began fumbling for a pokéball.

{R-Rai...?} the fox pokémon asked timidly, {T-that Nidoran is scaring little Kaika lots. It's not coming with us, is it?}

"Don't worry..." Rai replied, stroking the fire type in an attempt to calm him down, "I won't let it hurt you." it was a funny thing really, the Vulpix had just bravely faced a trained Torkoal far stronger than this little creature with surprising courage, and yet now he seemed deathly afraid of a creature even smaller than himself. The fox pokémon's courage, it seemed, was something that came and went.

OOC:

Eh? ;o; Alter Titan, Plushie was only joking, she did not mean for you to get the hurting of the feelings.. And I'm very sure that speaks for Charon and Melissi, too.

Oh, and that sounds.. unimaginably sore. ;; Hope your throat gets better too, man.

*no IC for the moment*
