Sick of Ash's Pikachu

How many of you are sick of Ash still having Pikachu? How many of you wish he'd just evolve it and get it over with? I do. Raichu's just as cute as Pikachu is. No one would miss Pikachu. As a matter of fact I think that people would like the series more if Ash evolved Pikachu.

Since when is it any of our choice? ow come I can't tell my neighbours what forme of Eevee to choose on their DP games? Maybe it's because it's up to the original trainer to determine evolution; I did not evolve my Metang since I don't like Metagross (and I've garnered losses for that). It wasn't anyone else's say in whether or not I evolved my Metang; it was my decision only.

Ash and Pikachu have revisited evolving a couple times, and it was never an appropriate option, evidently (Surge and that one BD episode, right?). IMO, these complaint threads are annoying <<...we can't write or rewrite the show. If so, Ash'd be a Frontier Brain now...

Pikachu is a staple of the anime and is pretty much the mascot of Pokemon. As long as Ash is in the anime, he will never evolve his Pikachu.

I prefer Ash having Pikachu, it's kind of like a symbol of Ash's training method now that I think about it. Just to be friends with his Pokemon and get around challenges your own way, which doesn't necessarily mean evolving to become more powerful. Even at the end of the series, I can't see him evolving Pikachu because neither he nor Pikachu want it to evolve. He's been best friends with Pikachu all these years now, and if your best friend suddenly changed it would be very weird haha. His relationship with Pikachu is different from his other Pokemon, I think, and forcing his Pokemon to evolve with a stone must feel different to him than when his other Pokemon evolve naturally.

Well said! I think that's pretty much it haha. And of course the fact that Pikachu is the flagship of the franchise.

Nope. I mean pokemon anime without pikachu isnt a pokemon anime at all. We got so used to it that the little fella grew onto us and now well it will be wierd without him or him being a raichu.

If Satoshi were to evolve Pikachu then the whole business would've pointless. It's the mascot of the franchise along with Pocha and his first pokémon. The fact that he hasn't evolved it yet just shows that it will not evolve. He doesn't even have the Thunder Stone anymore. I like Pikachu and that's why I don't want it to evolve.

Jorah pretty much summed it up. The whole point of Pikachu not evolving is to show that you don't have to change yourself to win. If Ash evolved pikachu, it would kind of go against all that. Now, if (for example) Team rocket captured pikachu and evolved it, that would sorta work. But i still doubt that will happen cause Pikachu is, as several people have said, the main mascot of pokemon. can you imagine how much stuff they'd have to rebrand?

Stronger but not strong it still sucks and Pikachu with light ball has more offensive power than it anyway.

Don't you see Pikachu will be in every epsiode with ash forever because its the freaking mascot of Pokemon, I know people who even call Pokemon Pikachu and thats not rare!

And I'm not really sure about what I think. I guess I agree with most people here. Pikachu's THE Pokémon. But if the series should ever end (like if there wouldn't be a 5th gen....) then I think it could end with Pikachu turning into Raichu.

Of course they'd just start another series then, and keep Ash and Raichu as side persons -.-

It's not going to evolve nor should it either. Pikachu is Ash's best friend; it's been in every single of his journeys and Ash isn't going to suddenly forcefully evolve it even if he honestly believes Pikachu will be a lot stronger as a result.

Relationships don't work that way in life. You just don't go around exchanging family, best friends, spouses etc in real life. The same logic applies here.

Kyen never said that Pikachu was "the" superior Pokemon. Bulbasaur is No. 1, but does that make it the most superior of all Pokemon? I think not. I assume Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle are at the top because they were 3 of the first Pokemon you saw when you started the games (R/B, FR/LG), but I definitely don't think a Pokemon's number makes it any more superior. Besides, Ash's Pikachu isn't even extremely strong, it's number one opponent is Team Rocket haha.

The fact is, while Raichu may be stronger in general, Ash's Pikachu is absolutely never going to be evolved. Like everyone else is saying, Pikachu is Ash's best friend. Said well by yoassarian and Jorah. Also I shouldn't say Pikachu is the staple of the franchise. "Ash's Pikachu" is the mascot. It's not going to be evolved. End.
