Andrew, To give a move to a pokemon a move (HM) Go to your bag, Find the Rock smash HM, You then select "Use" It should then say "Do you want to use this HM?" Or something similar, You select yes and it should re-direct you to your pokemon team, It then has beside the pokemon "Able" Or "Not able" If at least one of your pokemon has "Able" next to it, you can use the HM on it.

Then it should say "Do you want to teach this pokemon rock smash?" You select yes. If it comes up with "Your pokemon already has four moves, do you wish to delete a move to make room for "Rock smash"?" You select yes again and replace a move with the HM and the pokemon should now know the move "Rock smash". You go up to the rock with the pokemon that knows rock smash in your team and press "A" when you are standing at the front of the rock.

I hope this helped. If you have any more questions, You can PM me.

Devastation i know how to play the game, and i`ve used HM`s before.

Where do i get the rock smash HM? i can`t find it anywhere in my HM`s and TM`s section of my bag...

eh u get HM smash by going to that nerd looking guy in mauville in a house by himself and talk to him and he will give u a HM nice essay devastation

As it was stated before, it is the house to the right of the Poke Mart in Mauville. Talk to the man and he will give you Rock Smash. Teach it to a Poke (i.e. Zigzagoon) and then go break the rocks to continue the game.

Just a simple question, is it possible to enter a code and use the male trainer from FR/LG in emerald? Its only a few sprites but it could be trickey. Anyways can it be done through codes?

You should ask that in the Emerald Cheat Codes thread. There is no legal way for that to happen.

I got Pokerus! Yay! I was in the middle of EV training an Eevee to become Umbreon, and the Pokemon Centre lady told me I had Pokerus. Messed up my EV training a little, but nice one?

Anyone know how long the Pokerus lasts? Anyway to make it last longer?

Don't really know how much it lasts, probably random, but if you put it in your PC the other pokemon are going to get infected as well. So that's a way to extend it.

Ok, but does it disappear when it is in a box? Or can it stay there until I need to EV train?

You can keep it there for as long as you want, it will last.

That's helpful. Means I can do super EV training with the Macho Brace :-). Thanks.

Ok, since you can't get past the Grunts yet, go back a little bit and left and you should find a cave. Enter the cave to get onto Fiery Path. Pass through the other side (you don't have Strength yet so you can't explore). Carry on through and you can eventually get to Fallarbor Town. Carry on through and you'll reach Meteor Falls, and you'll see Magma Grunts stealing the Meteorite. At this point you can go back to the Cable Car and go up to Mt Chimney, but you can carry on a little further for more Exp.

Toothache, a little info on Pokerus. Once a Poke catches it, it will have it forever. That said, it will only be contagious for 24 hours (IIRC), where it can transfer it to other Pokes in your party. Note that it DOES NOT infect other Pokes in the box in the PC that you put it in. That will however preserve the infectious aspect of the Pokerus. What you do is take out the infected Poke and 5 other Pokes in your party. If that infected Poke is still contageous, it will spread to the rest of your team. You can continue to do so until ALL your Pokes in your PC are infected. I highly recommend it. If you have already passed the 24-hour time then only that Poke will have the Pokerus and you will need to get it again in order for it to spread to others.

I`m stuck on the Gym Leaders in moss deep city.

What types beat phsycic monsters? i just cant defeat them...

Claydol is Ground/Psychic - Use Water, Grass, Bug, Ghost, Dark, Ice
Xatu is Flying/Psychic - Use Rock, Ice, Electric, Ghost or Dark
Lunatone and Solrock are Rock/Psychic - Use Water, Grass, Bug, Ghost, Dark, Steel

So I advice u having a good water or an ice type, however Water gets owned by solarbeam and Ice by any Rock move. So euhm, you have to use strategy here, or use a Dark type. Dark type = you win.

The easiest way of taking on Mossdeep IMO is to use Zangoose. Hopefully you've picked up a Shadow Ball TM somewhere around, and with Zangoose's high speed and attack, you're sure to place some heavy damage on the Gym Leaders with that move. If you have someone with follow me, that helps, as you can put in a Swords Dance and be almost guaranteed a OHKO after Shadow Ball. Otherwise, I suggest Dusclops, as its defenses allow it to take a few hits while you Shadow Ball/Shadow Punch them to death.

OK, so now Ive gotten through almost everything, Ive beaten Flannery, Norman, now I need help on the Weather Institute. What ways to get past there?
