Is there a way to make all the people, in the Fan Club in Lilycove, be fans of yours?

the FAQ is going to be updated... within an hour. Check on that regarding the nature stuff ^_^; (if you see me talking about personality, then it's the same thing as nature... it's just that people call it personality before the game got translated, and I'm stuck calling it personality instead of the right term of 'nature')

Yes, it's possible to make everyone be a fan of yours. Just capture at least 185 Pokemon (or was it 165? Something in the hundreds ending in 5 that much I know), win a couple of Link Battles (the more, the better) and I think that's it.You get like 3 of them just from beating the E4 I think. Just capture Pokemon and battle people for the rest.

Ok, this is prolly a stupid question, but I just started playing ruby today. I noticed that the pokedex is alot different from the older versions, starting at Treeko. When I went to the pokemon website, i noticed many pokemon missing from the line-up. Are these pokemon non-existant in this game or can they be transfered via a link? Thank you for your help ^-^

All 386 Pokemon are in the game. Yes you can get them all. You can get them all either from cheating or trading to/from FRLG once it comes out. If you trade from FRLG, your PokeDex changes to incorporate the original Pokemon. If you cheat to get the old Pokemon, then you need to cheat to change your Dex.

I am using a rom right now. I'm having difficulty patching this rom for all the pokemon to the game. It says it worked, but nothing changes in the game. . . .

Anyway, do you know if there's a way to link from the older games? Because I had 200 + on my silver.

you can't trade from older games to Ru/Sa.
Ru/Sa is only compatible with FR/LG and Colosseum. That's all that I know of

The Pok?dex doesn't change to incorporate them. There really is no point in trading originals to R/S, as their data doesn't add to your Pok?dex. In FR/LG, you can't get anything above the original 151 without the National Dex, which you get after you defeat the Elite 4. There is no National Dex in R/S, therefore, the data for any Pok?mon not included in the R/S games won't be recorded

Yeah, this is true. I've managed to transfer all my Pokemon from Colosseum to Sapphire (several dozen Zigzagoon later :-s), and only 7 of those updated my Pokedex, the rest did not.

So yeah, to get a full 386 Pokedex, you'll need the National Pokedex from FR/LG. Happy waiting peeps :-)

i thought as soon as you trade a fr/lg pokemon to r/s the pokedex updates itself?

You get Surf after defeating your Dad (you can battle him anytime you want after earning 4 badges [or was it 5?]) in Petalburg. After defeating him, he'll mention something about Wally's UNcle wanting to thank/see you. From the gym, go to the left to find Uncle's house. Talk to him to get Surf.

all right thanks... while your at it, i have two more questions

how do you get to sootopolis city and ever grande city when theres something thats blocking it?

and where do you find the red orb? i know team aqua has it ( since i have sapphire ) but question is, where are they to get the red orb back?

thanks a lot again

You get the Red Orb back from Team MA after you defeat/capture Kyogre/Groudon. Simply go to the top of Mt. Pyre where they first stole the orb and the Leader will be there. Talk to him for the Orb.

There are two parts to Ever Grande. The first part just has a Pokemon Center. To reach it, you need Hm Waterfall which is in the Cave of Origin (you can't miss it if you picked up every item you saw and it's right in your path). The second part is where the ELite Four is. You need to traverse Victory Road to reach them. You need Strength, Rock Smash, Waterfall, and Flash is optional, but recommended.

Sootopolis City can be reached by use HM Dive, which is given to you by Steven in Mossdeep City. Steven will be in his house where he lives on Mossdeep. Just go to every house to the northwest or the Pokemon Center since I forgot the exact house. Sootopolis is at the top of a mountain, so go around near the front base of the mountain where there is dive-able water (it'll be dark blue) and Dive underwater. Then just enter the cave and press "A" or "B" in the brighter patches of water while in the cave to re-surface in the water area of the city. Sootopolis also holds the Cave of Origin and you can't do anything else here until you go through the Cave.
