3rd Gen Simple Questions

Well... it may not be, since Nintendo might change the way trading works again, like they did with RSE to GSC. They might go back to doing 1 Pokemon, then the other... or something different.

Hopefully they won't - as they got so much bad press when they changed it with RS, they'd be stupid to do it again.

Is there a place where there is a list of pokemon that are in each version? I remember that there are pokemon that you can catch in one version that you can't in the other.

A follow-up, which version has the overall better pokemon that you can catch?

hmm they pretty much have the same pokemon in each, only a handful of different ones are in each, the main question you need to ask yourself is which do you want groudon/kyogre and latios/latias.

Ruby
Seedot
Nuzleaf
Shiftry
Solrock
Zangoose
Mawile
Latios
Groudon

Sapphire
Lotad
Lombre
Ludicolo
Sableye
Seviper
Lunatone
Latias
Kyogre

During the game you also have to make some choices in which you will only be able to receive 1 of 2 pokemon, apart from the 3 starters you will have a choice between:

Claw Fossil - Anorith (evolves into) Armaldo
Root Fossil - Lileep (evolves into) Cradilly

DeepSeaTooth - (trade with a clampearl for Huntail)
DeepSeaScale - (trade with a clampearl for a gorebyss)

How do u get a soul dew?? I have a level 100 Latios and i want one BADLY!!!

people, in case there isn't enough evidence already, rocket # 83 launched today and i got nothing...the deoxys cheat thing is fake...well, now it's proven even more.

It's always been fake and a lot of us knew that already. Look back for a couple months and you'll see a thread that was arguing over this.

im just wopndering were i can find a table that lists what items the ability Pick Up can actually get.

also is it effected by the location you are in during the battle and does the level of the pokemon using pickup actually effect what can actually be found.

im asking this as ive now got 5 of those Zigzagoons and im leveling my starter (only just started the game...got other pokemon but am just item hunting/leveling atm for the 1st gym)

thanks and any help would be great

cheers

I have a lot of newb questions, i feel so sad. :(

1. What are some good pokemon in Ruby?
2. Who is tyranatar, and who does he evolve from?
3. Is there a way to get ho-oh, lugia, or any of the pokemon from g/s?

Thanx

Tyranitar is a Rock/Dark pokemon that evolves from Pupitar, which evolves form Larvitar. You get Larvitar in the Seavault Canyon on Seven Island, Lg/Fr.

You cannot trade pokemon from the G/S games to Ru/Sa, however, you can get them from Coloseum and Lg/Fr. Lugea is only obtainable on eight island, with a special ticket. H o-oh is in Coloseum, and it's on the same island as Lugea.

As for your first question, I might as well name all 386 Pokemon. It just comes down to what Pokemon you like or have on your team and how they work togethor. Anyways...some of the OU Pokemon are...(I'll be assuming RS only)

Weezing, Skarmory, Starmie, Ninjask, (eh...maybe not THAT OU..), Sceptile,Alakazam, Heracross...and so on...

Is there a place in Sapphire where you can get someone to groom your Pokemon to increase it's happiness? Also, is there someone in Sapphire that tells you how much your Pokemon likes you?

There's no grooming area in RSE. However, there is a place in Verdanturf Town where a woman judges the happiness of the Pokemon in the top slot of your team. I think it's next to Wally's aunt's house.

ok i have got one question about wild pokemon:

were are the highest level wild non legendary pokemon in R/S/E? im just wondering so that i can speed level someoneto learn moves i want to breed onto others.

also which pokemon give the MOST EV per 'kill' and what location are they and what level? im looking for the best of each stat.

and finally...if i get a shiny nincada and evolve it to Ninjask will the resulting Shedinja be shiny along with the Ninjask? i' assume so but im unsure and would just like some confermation.

thanks in advance and very sorry for the noob questions...i just got Ruby 2 days ago :)

cheers

In RSE...I'd say...46 maybe?

Dunno.

Yeah, both should be shiny.

Level 60 altairia in the Sky Pillar. You mostly find level 50-58 pokemon though. That's where I caught my shiny claydol.
