Sinnoh Journey Journal v.2 - Share your travelling stories

Recently in Pearl, I have achieved my team to lv 20 and I am about to enter Hearthrome City for the first time.

My Platinum adventures will be on hold until I get far enough or bored of Pearl.
 
My friend gave me his Manaphy (wtf) and I bred a Phione because I think they're SO UNDERRATED. I have one with a Modest Nature so I'm gonna give it 252 SpAtk/200 HP/56 Speed and use it as a Choice Specs-er. I'm also EV Training my Latias.

Btw does anyone have PBR? If you do you know when you're allowed to send the Electivire, Magmortar and Pikachu to your D/P? Is it just me or is that Electivire pretty much perfect? I mean it's got an Adamant Nature and knows some shweet moves. Just give it 252 Atk/252 Speed/4 HP and you've got yourself a beasty.
 
I accidentally messed up on EVing my Scizor, so I decided to SR. The last time I saved was just after evolving it from a level 1 Scyther :\
Looks like I'll have to level it to 50 and EV it again. This is going to take some time.

At least I successfully EVed my Toxicroak this morning :) I bred them both just yesterday.
 
Just used approximately 100 honeys before finally finding a female combee. now i just have to be bored enough to go level it up enough to evolve.

Trying to get money to restock on Hyper Potions. ;-; I do have enough, but I try to get the max amount of money for my Villa decor. Speaking of that, all I need is to finish planting 300 berries, and then beat the E4 20 times, then I can unlock the final two decorations! :D I'm still training Kanshisa to be at least level 80, and I made her forget Thief for Charge Beam, which is helping tremendously because of the Special Atk. raise. I also evolved two more Eevees, into Leafeon (Meadow) and Glaceon (Yuki) respectively. Leafeon is level 51 now, and Glaceon is level 30.

currently at the battle factory, knocked out 4 opponents so far, going onto my 5th;

my team for battle 1 (rental pokemon);

Magmortar
Espeon
Milotic

Battle 2: Magmortar swapped for Torterra
Battle 4: Torterra swapped for Nidoqueen
Battle 5: Espeon swapped for Absol

challenging the elite 4 again, my team is the same as they were before except a couple of pokemon have gained a level

and lost in battle 6 to the second pokemon (venusaur)

Platinum- Just entered Victory Road with my team of level 61 pokes plus a random HM slave.
I wound up having to turn back because I need a second one for the non-surfing HMs.
Do I even need surf in the victory road?
 
@ Gregora - Surf not required whilst trekking through Victory Road to the Pokémon League.


Currently at Stark Mountain in front of Heatran. Failed attempts at capture: 2
Total Balls thrown: Around ~100-150
 
Do you not need surf???how do u get past the waterfalls???

You need Surf, Waterfall, Strength, Rock Smash, and Rock Climb to get through to the Pokemon League. I'd bring an HM slave and something on your main team that knows one of the other moves, which, after you get to the League, you can fly back to Canalave, forget the HM move if unnecessary, and then go to the move tutor in Pastoria and reteach a move.
 
Well, I spent longer than need be on Victory Road. I missed the Rock Climb thing to go to the exit and swore I had been up there already and I went back and forth, looking for the exit. XD

At least I caught a Gabite.

I'm now trying to figure out if my team's really good enough for the E4 so I'm re-arranging my team.
 
Trained Abra for nothing

Hi i got a level 6 abra through link trade so i can get that exp boost
And i trained him to 15 and went to fight Galactic Commander in windworks
My abra got to lvl 16 During the battle
Then i died and my Abra was still level 16
so i leveled him to 17 and now hes Kadabra with no psychic moves...
Do i have to train another one? or theres a way to fix this
 
You could have just turned it off, then switched it on again and tried again.
 
well, u could then save rite in front of the battle where it reached lv.16

Or smack it up on wild pokes
 
A Kadabra will learn Psybeam at level 24 and Psycho Cut at level 34, and Miracle Eye at level 22 (if you leave it a Kadabra and don't evolve it). It can also learn Psychic, Trick, Future Sight, Reflect, Recover and more.

Yeah, you missed Confusion that it learns at level 16. But if you keep training it, it will learn plenty of psychic moves later. ^^

If you evolve it to Alakazam, it learns pretty much the same stuff as Kadabra, plus Calm Mind at level 36. :)

i just ran into it randomly and i was like OH!this'll be good
