Welcome, trainer, to the arguably best region of Sinnoh! Known to be the very first region created by Arceus in the Pokemon myths, Sinnoh is a land of wonder, mystery and most importantly adventure!

As a trainer, you'll journey across the region and see what it has to offer, encountering all 210 of the pokémon in the Sinnoh poké-dex along the way. However, through a number of special events you'll be sure to find some special exotic pokémon, take the fabulous gym leaders of the Sinnoh league, and foil the plans of the mysterious and nefarious group that call themselves Team Galactic. Face the legendary beasts of the region thought to be the very first in the poké-verse, wielding the powers of the universe themselves! And who knows, you might even meet... the ultimate pokémon?

Things to Remember:

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR SINNOH?

With any Meta Journey region, you go to the Meta Hub to sign up. Once your region leader has told you that you are accepted, you can see your name in the roster in the region thread - this thread! The Hub is situated in the Theatre (main forum) for easy access, but the region threads sit in the Roleplay Casting subforum. Basically, go sign up for Hoenn in Meta Hub thread, and then come back here to start collecting!​

HOW DO I COLLECT POKÉMON?

We call this the "Meta Journey" for a reason. You won't be making any roleplaying posts in this thread directly. Rather, it is what you do in other threads that matters!

For each 2 IC posts you make in the Roleplay Stage, you may choose one pokémon from the current area in your region to add to your collection. Simply make a post in this thread, linking back to two IC posts you have made in real roleplays.
You cannot use posts that were made before you joined the Meta Journey.

Note that every time "IC post" is mentioned in the Meta Journey, we require them to be over 100 words in length. Otherwise they're not worthy...

Also note that a joint post (JP) together with another player also counts - for all included players, as long as each of you wrote at least 100 words! Meaning, you can use a JP you participated in, as if it was your own post.
You can also spend 6 Theatre posts, as these are equal in worth to 2 IC posts in the Journey. All Theatre threads count, except for ones with the Chit-chat prefix

Meaning, even posts in the Hub count! As long as they were made after you were accepted into a region, of course.

If there isn't a pokémon you want on the current route, you can just keep track privately of your accumulated posts and use them later.​

AM I SUPPOSED TO POST "IN CHARACTER" IN THIS "META RP" ITSELF?

Not in this thread, no. If there are events in the future, you might be able to use your Meta Journey character and pokémon team in special IC threads over in the Roleplay Stage subsection! Keep a lookout in the Meta Hub and in your region to see when the next event is open!​

Twinleaf Town (Japanese: フタバタウン Futaba Town) is situated in the southwestern part of the Sinnoh region. It is here that the protagonist of the Generation IV games Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, and several other notable Trainers begin their Pokémon journeys. Twinleaf is the hometown of the player and their rival, Barry, and the first town known to the player in the games. It is also the nearest town to Lake Verity, referred to by residents as their local lake. North of the town lies Route 201, a junction which leads to Verity Lakefront to the west, and Sandgem Town to the east.​

Jubilife City (Japanese: コトブキシティ Kotobuki City) is a city in the region of Sinnoh. The entire city is built on land carved out of a mountain by the residents of neighboring Oreburgh City. Jubilife is the most modernized city in the region, and according to the anime, the largest city in Sinnoh. It is the sixth largest city in the Pokémon world. The city can be accessed from all four directions, with a gate occupying the west entrance.

There are many distinctive buildings in Jubilife City, including the TV station, where Mystery Gift can be activated, the Pokétch Company, the Trainers' School, and one of the most important establishments in the game, the Global Trade Station, which allows players to trade Pokémon with anyone across the entire world.​

After crossing the terrifying, treacherous path known to the mortal realm as Route 201, our heroes pass Sandgem town and keep moving forward on their wondrous jouney. Mink, the adventurous researcher, Boombastic the daring pilot, the ever-seducing janitor Cúchulainn, and the the dreaded Derp Tastic. While on their way to bustling megacity of Sinnoh known as Jubilife, they meet yet another friend who joins their quest to be the dankest, the fabulous fisherman Nero! Realizing that they are now five and can spit out even danker memes, they pose dramatically to form...​

Oh, you don't have to pick a type for your favor! Beating the galactic grunt will get you a special favor which will allow you to catch a few Pokemon of varying types in the next route.

Oreburgh City → Oreburgh Mine

Oreburgh City (Japanese: クロガネシティ Kurogane City) is a city located in central Sinnoh. Oreburgh is first accessible via the Oreburgh Gate, which is to the west of the city. This is one of two connecting routes to the City, the other being Route 207 to the city's north. Oreburgh is a mining town blessed with significant natural resources. Prominent vents throughout the city exchange the stale air from the mines below with fresh, above-ground air.
In the city's south are the Oreburgh Mines, and Oreburgh is also the location of the first Gym in Sinnoh, led by Roark. It is there where Trainers can earn the Coal Badge, the first Badge available to Trainers seeking to conquer the Sinnoh region's Pokémon League. Other points of interest include the Oreburgh Mining Museum. The miners often take breaks in the Gym between the work shifts and, similarly, Roark allows the citizens of the town train their Pokémon in the mines.​

After slaying the horrendous Team Galactic grunt, the Sinnoh force, comprised of Mink, the adventurous researcher, Boombastic the daring pilot, the ever-seducing janitor Cúchulainn, the dreaded Derp Tastic, and Nero, the fabulous fisherman, arrive at Oreburgh city. Now of course, Oreburgh city's most famous landmark is its mine. Our heroes decide to have a go at mining themseles.​

Yesss, I love jazz and I'm a big fan of their channel :D

As for the underground Magikarp, all you need is 2 IC posts or 6 theatre posts! I reckon it would pretty easy to do the latter, with a bunch of new theatre threads popping up.
