Am I able to listen and type in my responses without using my webcam? My mother watches me like a hawk and she'll be like "Who are you taking with!" and stuff like that. :| Real annoying to say the least.

Too many people. Skype won't let you use your webcam with more than two people. However, you can use your mic and type. I find it easier to type because the typing noises get pretty annoying after a while. =/
