    I...don't think this poll has been made for awhile.

    Anyway, I was wondering what smilies you used or liked the most. Most of the ones I use nowadays are ones that I've copied off people I talk to frequently. And I don't really use variants on my 'group' of smilies like I used to either (e.g. >_> instead of <<;).

    I use all of the 'basic' ones. (Example: ^_^, .__. , =3, o.o) but I ABUSE the xD/XD smile. I call it dah ex-dee smilie (along with Chuchi, who is also a fellow abuser) along with the heart, <3, symbol. :X
     
    I use a whole lot of smilies. I'll list down some:

    Those are my most used ones. Especially the first three...

    I used to use x3 but I'm over that. So I just stick to XD in almost every post, with about every 100th post using a different one.

    Barring the MSN smilies, I use XD, o.o, ^^ and variants thereof.

    1. XD Honestly, that thing is like an item of worship among posters nowadays.
    2. >__>; I love using that when someone says something perverted, hehe. By the way, that only looks good with Arial.
    3. 8D A good way of expressing an infatuation, methinks.
    4. T_T Most of the time, an exaggeration of my childish misery.
    5. O_o; Profoundly used to convey "AHEM, WTF."

    Meh, might be more that I missed out, but that's it for now.
     
    I don't use as many as I used to, though I'm not sure why. o_o I get the feeling that smilie use is influenced heavily by your peers; it is for me. If none of my friends seem to use a particular smilie, I probably won't. One that comes to mind that I used to use is ^_^ Almost no one uses it now, so...I don't. I've picked up new smilies from friends, though sometimes I hate to copy someone too directly. XD;

    The one thing I don't like about smilies is when they're turned graphical. They just look so...exaggerated, and have a strong association with, err, "new" people to the internet. :x

    I have a long list here... I think I will anyway. I'm a really big smilie person. I think it's a way to show my mood if my words really don't convey it. Which they probably do most of the time. ^^;
