I personally never quite understood why anyone would want to pick up anything like that in the first place. How on earth does breathing in the toxins spewing from the end of a stick look "cool"? That makes absolutely no sense at all...

No, I have never smoked anything and I really don't plan on ever trying it. Both of my parents have smoked since I was very young and the smell alone makes me want to literally vomit. I suppose I was lucky they decided to shield us from it by always smoking in the garage, a place we were never allowed to go as children, but in the car or at restaurants, there was no escape.

Smoking just makes you look like a fool and I seriously wish it could just be banished. I understand that some people consider it soothing or stress reducing, but in reality it's little more than a placebo. Really people... It's a sick habit.

I think that's quite unfair. Out of the 15,163 active members, only 50 have answered. That's a tiny percentage. It's completely possible for 90% of people to have not smoked or smoke now. Therefore people won't be lying.
The poll is also not a public poll, which means people can choose the proper option without feeling worried about people's reactions. We don't all know that a higher percentage of people have smoked, and assuming is bad D;

And I think you'll find that this is a Pokémon forum, therefore the vast majority of members are either in their early teens or lower or are generally quite sheltered from the real world and issues like this.

But I've never smoked. I've grown up around enough people to know how hard it is to quit smoking. And people who say or think smoking is "cool" are complete idiots. There is nothing cool about barely being able walk up a few flights of stairs without gasping for air, or needing to go outside in rain every couple of hours because you can't cope without puffing on a little stick of death.

Was homeless for six months in 2005.
Started smoking on a casual basis.
Never alowed myself to be addicted, though I may have gotten close to addiction.

Quit flat out when it was a windy day in winter, was trying to light a half-smoked cigarete when another pedestrian bumped into me. I swallowed the cigarette, filter and all. Took about five minutes to burp it up.

Nastiest taste I have EVER experienced. The filter stuck to my teeth...

I dont plan to smoke,but I did once but only a little puff,but I cant be around people who are smoking indoors.It gets me sick and I'v been at the hospital for that once.But I was a kid and the only reason I did it was because I wanted to see if I can make the smoke come out of my nose.But im super clean! >_<

I've never smoked and I don't wish to. My mom's best friend always smoked, and going to her house every other day sucked.. It seriously stinks. I'm surprised I didn't become ill at that young age from inhaling that garbage.

My older brother has asthma, yet he still smokes a few cigarettes.. Hmm, what a retard.
