2nd Gen So, wich starter did you pick in Gold/Silver/Crystal?

Such memories make me cry almost...

I remember picking up Cyndaquil and owning half the game with him alone. He was definately, without a shed of doubt, the best. Typhlosion made most Johto and Kanto leaders cry themselves. Elite 4 Lance hated my Typhlosion though :(

I dunno why, but Typhlosion has always remained my 2nd favorite Pokemon, and I always felt it never got enough love.

Typhlosion never got enough love? You sure about that because I know a lot of people who watched the Johto series years back always preferred Typhlosion out of the 3 Johto starters.

Anyway, yeah I always choose Cyndaquil because he looks the coolest and is a very reliable pokemon. Chikorita is also great and once I replace my corrupted Silver version I will pick Chikorita. I like them all but for a Water type Totodile is pretty bad I mean his Atk is higher than his Sp. Atk so you can't take advantage of it's water attacks therefore I never pick him anymore

i almost always pick water-type pokes as my starters. i dont know why, i just do.

Well I'm playing crystal now and I picked Celebi ;) (Joke)

I picked Chikorita since it is soooo adorable (cwuddles it)
I love cute pokemon and always pick them over strong ones which can be bad for competitive battling (like I'd rather have an Azuril over a Salamence etc)

Cyndaquil will always be my favorite! But Totodile was my first, and is a pretty decent one too.

Anyway, since I like change, I played GSC 5 times [whoa!]. The fifth time was the last time I played it and was the one I was most content.

I was in rec for summer, got Gold, and selected Chikorita. :D Good times. I'm not sure exactly why I selected Chiko, though something about it made me select it. Which in the end, I believe I made the correct selection.

i vaguely remember but you start the game from the beginning save before you take a pokemon and play till you get pokeballs, then you catch two pokemon, deposit your starter and one other pokemon change boxes and turn of the game before it saves. then you repeat that process till you have all 3. at least i think thats what it was.

I choose Totodile as my starter when I played Gold for the first time.

I started with all three. Chikorita on my very first try, Cyndaquil on my second, Totodile on my third, then Cyndaquil again before my Gold stopped saving. On my Crystal I started with Cyndaquil before it stopped saving too.
