It seriously all depends on what is going on around me. If another car has just swerved out of the way and I am either forced to hit them or risk crashing, I'd probably run them over, even if that's morbid. I'm afraid my life is much more important than a few ducks...
If I have enough time to slow down and alert any drivers behind me that I am stopping, then I will do so. But I won't risk my life or any other driver's life for any animal.
Just today, I was able to safely slow down in enough time to not let a tumbleweed crash into the front end of my car. So that was a nice thing. XD;
