Here are my answers! If you don't understand one of the questions (like the dropping a book one, maybe?) read mine and hopefully you'll understand!

    1. Do you read books for entertainment? Yes!
    2. If yes, why? If not, why not? I tend to enjoy it more than watching TV or movies.
    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites? Fiction is my favorite! Biographies are my least favorite.
    4. How long does it take you to read a page? It takes anywhere between a few seconds to a minute, tops.
    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?" I think they're ignorant and trying to look cool in front of others. I see these all the time on the favorite books section on people's Facebook profiles, and I just can't help but think that they're displaying a sign of lesser intelligence. I don't know where in society it became a bad thing for younger people to read, but that needs to be fixed. There's nothing wrong with reading.
    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading? It usually takes me roughly three minutes to be able to imagine what I'm reading from the point I pick up a book, if I'm in the mood to read. I keep that the entire time I'll be reading, though, which is good. I know of a few people who can instantly see what they're reading, but lose it halfway through a chapter. Where-as for me, I tend to keep it until I stop reading for a long period of time.
    7. How fast do you typically go through a book? I generally like to read rather long books, since I find them more interesting. Since it takes me about a minute to read a page, I'm going to go by that and say each page would count as a minute. So since I read books that usually have 400 pages or more, it takes me about 400 minutes to finish a book.
    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book? I'm a fast silent reader, but a very slow verbal reader. I read books silently but when I read them, I read them a lot slower than I would, say, a history book for school. I find it more enjoyable that way, and it lets me be able to imagine everything that's happening, which is my favorite part about reading.
    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time? I have to be in the right mood to start reading efficiently. I can pick up a book and start reading it if I'm not in the mood, but it will just end up not registering at all with me. I'll instantly forget the sentence I read beforehand. The right mood for me tends to be a majority of the day, but I don't usually know until I start reading. After a few minutes, if I'm not picturing what's going on, I'm not in the mood.
    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that? I cannot express how much I dislike stopping in the middle of a chapter, even if it's just for a few seconds. Once I start a chapter, the only way I'm going to stop, is if there's an emergency. Even if I have to go to the bathroom, I won't go until I finish reading the chapter.
    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it? I do this allll the time and I don't even know why. Sometimes I get this ugh feeling when I see that a chapter ends in thirty pages, but seeing as how quickly that goes by, I don't know why I do it. Sometimes I check to see how much longer I'd be there, but I don't think that's it most of the time.
    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get? When I close a book after finishing it, I close it with a regret readers feel only after experiencing a good story.
    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book? Usually when I pick up a book, I end up finishing it. I've only dropped two books, and I've since forgotten their names.
    14. Re-reads. Do you do them? I've not once read a book I haven't read at least twice.
    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book? I am guilty of judging a book by it's cover. In saying that, I do tend to read the back and the inside cover of a book to find out what it's about, but I'm more inclined to pick up a book to do so if the cover is something that interests me aesthetically.
    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in? I'd love to walk into a house, find a book I wrote, open it, and find the spine completely cracked and hear the sound of it when I open the book. I'd love to turn a page and find that the page itself has that rather hard feeling to it that books tend to get after they get wet. I'd love to see coffee stains on the pages and dried up tear marks. I'd love to look at the book closed and see faded colors of food or spills along the ends. That to me would mean that my job is one worth while.
    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single? I loveee reading series. It gives me something to look forward to, where-as, single books have that it's over feeling after finishing them. Granted the last book of a series has that too, and it's usually a lot worse, I think it's worth it more when you've experienced a story that's more than just a book long!
    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree? I always find myself glimpsing down a bit and catching dialogue when I'm in the middle of a really long paragraph. I don't know why, and that's why I tend to try to cover up the parts I'm not at yet, because I tend to spoil myself that way. But dialogue between characters is my absolute favorite thing to read!

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?

    Yep

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?

    Cool plot twists in books, and things of that nature. Past experience taught me to appreciate books and how awesome they are and stuff. Past experience also taught me, thanks to school, how brutal they can sometimes be. .__.;

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?

Horror, Murder Mystery, Mystery, what have you. Haven't discovered any type of books that managed to fall within the "least favorite" realm yet.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?

Not long, that's as far as I know. Do you expect to really keep track when I'm deeply absorbed in a book?!

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"

I don't have a specific opinion of them, because I kinda know exactly how they feel. In a sense, I rarely read myself because of various reasons and whatnot. .___. Literature class senior year, I guess you can say, kinda killed the joy I once had for reading and all.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?

Not quite understanding this question I guess, but to word my answer in this manner, it takes me a few re-reads of a certain part/section to comprehend exactly what the book is about and whatnot. .__. It's because of my short attention span and stuff.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?

Depends if I really set a time limit for myself, and how interesting the book is. A lot of different factors go into this. I was reading a book by Dan Brown at one point(which was 130 chapters) and finished it in just about a week. My biggest achievement yet. :(

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?

    Yes. Especially since nowadays I hardly read as much anymore, so... ._____.;

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?

Yeah, I pretty much have to be in a certain mood and in a certain setting at the right time if I'm ever going to start reading anything.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?

If by "ending your reading session" you mean the book altogether, then I would feel kinda bad, because that would mean I either lost motivation for the book, or maybe I just didn't have enough time to devote to reading the book much, really.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?

All the time, just to see if I'm making any progress or not whilst reading or something. .___.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?

Literally nothing but achievement, and then I start to reflect upon the book afterwards for a good while, especially if it's a good literary piece, I start thinking about it for a good long while. @__@

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?

    Not as far as I know. .___.;

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?

    No, not necessarily.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?

The genre of the book, and..I know I'm not really supposed to say this, but the cover design as well. ;___; the cover design has to be pretty for me to be interested.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?

I'm not quite sure how to answer this, but for the sake of my obsession with cleanliness well...in near perfect condition, of course!

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?

    A series.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment? Yes
    2. If yes, why? If not, why not? I don't really know. Everytime I get caught up in reading something, you can't bother me even for the slightest bit.
    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites? Fiction definitely. And literary nonsense. These are the two types of books that really makes me broaden my imagination more. As for least favourite, definitely character biographies. ):
    4. How long does it take you to read a page? Under a minute most of the time. If it takes longer than that then something must've caught my attention in that page that makes me want to read it all over again.
    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?" They should. Saying "I don't read" is like saying "I don't study". If they don't read they won't learn anything.
    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading? It depends from the book really. I've had times when I couldn't really understand what I was reading until I've read it for the umpteenth time.
    7. How fast do you typically go through a book? A night would be enough for me to read a book. It would take a day for me to understand it thoroughly, however.
    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book? Not really. Unless I've already read said book, then I want to savor every moment of it.
    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time? I can start anytime. If my mood isn't right, it usually will after a while of reading.
    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that? I absolutely hate ending in the middle of the chapter. You can never make mse stop reading when I start, unless it's the end of the chapter. If you try to, then you might as well bring a few protective armor.
    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it? No. I want to be surprised at how much pages there is for each chapter.
    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get? The feeling of worth. Reading is never a waste of time for me.
    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book? This rarely happens for me. Even though the book is not that great, I'd finish reading it nevertheless.
    14. Re-reads. Do you do them? Most of the time, yeah.
    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book? The title usually affects my opinion for a book.
    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in? I'd like the book to have signs of much rereading. That makes it worthwhile after all that writing and imagining.
    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single? It depends on the series.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
    I used to. :(

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
I did when I had easy access to a library. Now we have a huge 13-story library that hold almost entirely non-fiction. If I wanted to read I'd have to read online which I hate, or buy books which I don't have money for.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
I really like fiction, nonfiction a lot less so. I also like those thriller mysteries like Dean Koontz.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
Really fast. Never timed myself but I'm an incredibly fast reader.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
I don't have one unless they extend it to "I don't like reading". I don't read technically at the moment, but I still enjoy it, I just don't have time or access to books.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
Generally as soon as I start reading something, I see it. If I can't, then the book isn't catching me enough and I'm not going to enjoy it.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
When I dedicate myself to reading something I can finish most anything in at most 2 days. I can't stretch it out over a long period of time, I hate doing that because I'll lose interest and forget what happens and eventually give up mid-book.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
I slow myself down only when I get confused. Sometimes I also have to read slowly if I wasn't really paying attention to what was written.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
It's not a mood per se, but a mindset. I have to be in the mindset that I'm just going to read and nothing else, because I'm so used to being on my computer all the time lately that if I get on it I'll get distracted from reading.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
Nope. Can't do it. I have to finish a chapter or the book itself. Sometimes I can't even do it if the chapter ends on a cliffhanger. It doesn't make me want to come back to see what happens, it just annoys me.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
Only on required reading that I don't enjoy, or if I want to finish a chapter and someone asks me how long it'll take.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
The better the book is, the sadder and emptier I feel. :(( When I finish reading, it's when I finally get snapped back to the reality that none of that was real and that I'll probably never experience it.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
Yeah, I've done it before. Not often though, because I read books quickly so it's easy for me to just finish it anyway.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
Only on Battle Royale. That's the only book I've ever reread and enjoyed it.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
A nice cover does, as well as a good description (on the back, sleeve descriptions annoy me). I almost never open up the actual book to see what the writing style is, I'm really flexible on that point.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
I wouldn't want them destroyed, but certainly not mint condition. I would want it to look like my copy of Battle Royale: cover taped so it doesn't fall off, some writing at their favorite parts, lots of dog ears, kind of curved if it's a softcover (that means it's been taken places).

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
Generally when I read, I read series. Not really sure why.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
    Definitely.

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
It's very relaxing and I enjoy doing it. I think that reading is also good for enlarging your vocabulary.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
I think I like fiction the best, but of course there are a lot of sub-genres, so it's not really easy to say.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
It really depends on what I'm reading, obviously; if I have to read a certain book for school, which I don't particularly like, it can take ages for me to finish a page, and even then I won't know what it was about, but when I'm really excited and I love the story then it can take a minute.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
I think that it's kind of ignorant. That might seem strange, because maybe you just don't like books; and that's fine, maybe it's just not your cup of tea. But people who don't take reading seriously, and say that they'd rather watch a movie because they 'just don't want to read', honestly seem a little naive or unintelligent to me. That might not be true, but that's how it comes off. I think it's ignorant because I think reading is essential for the development of your brain and like I said, expanding your vocabulary (which makes you more capable of doing certain things), it's just a very good training really. If you say you don't read, it seems to me that you are ignoring that opportunity, and don't care about mental development, which is really necessary in this society. Yes, I think reading is also good for your mental state and growth.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
Most of the time it takes a little longer for me. I'm very good at reading and have to put very few effort in it, but because I have ADD, my mind tends to wander off while I'm reading, and in those cases I'll have to read the part again because I have no idea what it was about.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
It doesn't take long, but I read very thoroughly and I think it takes longer than average because of that. I want to be able to understand every single passage that I read because it just makes it so much more enjoyable, than just skim-reading, like some of my friends do.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Well, like I said in the previous question, I read very thoroughly because I want to, but when I'm reading an article or something in school, I actually try to read it as fast as possible, but still be able to get what it's about.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I really have to be in the mood, but that's usually only when I start reading a book; if I already started it than I'm very excited to read it further and that doesn't really depend on my mood.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
I absolutely hate it. There is never really a good moment to take a pause in the middle of a chapter, which is logical as well, and I just want to finish the chapter before I close the book or go get a drink or something. It disrupts me and I lose my concentration if I do that. And I also think it's just no fun to stop in the middle of an exciting chapter.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
Sometimes, when I want to have an idea of how long a certain situation is going to take to end, or if it's going to end at all, you can mostly tell by how many pages there are left. But mostly it's only because I want to do something and want to know how many pages I have left to read lol.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Well, hard to say. It's actually not a very good feeling, in the fact that it sucks that the story has ended. Most of the time I read the last passage a few times over before I can be at ease.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
I don't think I've done that often, but I have wanted to do it, but in those cases I would just push myself to read it further and see if it gets better. If it really gets worse and worse though, then I won't hesitate to drop it.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
I read some manga's over and over again lol, but I don't think I re-read a book very often. Maybe a few times.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
Everything about the exterior actually, the way the book looks, the way the pages look, of course I read the back as well to get an idea what it's about, the genre, the titel, just everything. Most of the time it's the cover.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
An .. antique condition? The father of my friend owns a bookstore, and all the books there look very old and are worn down because they have been read so much and hold in so many different ways, and the pages turned slightly yellow, and I love it when books look like that.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
I agree with OP on this one completely, each book gives you more and more to look forward to, and it leaves you in so much excitement and anticipation, and doesn't give you that 'bittersweet' feeling when you finish e.g. the first book in the series.

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?"

I do agree, it makes it much more lively and interesting to read. It enables me to identify with characters more because it's like you can hear them talking and it's more personal than a description imo.

I wanted to add one of my favourite writers, which is Dostoevsky, a Russian writer (translated in English of course). I am Dutch, but I read a lot more English books than Dutch ones. The only Dutch books I read are the ones I have to read for school lol. Anyways, I thought it would be a nice addition.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
    I do indeed.

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
I've always been an avid reader; it was drilled into me from a very young age, and there has never been a shortage of books that have kept me interested. It's an easy, cheap way to escape reality~

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?

I'm a fan of complex fantasy novels, preferably ones that stay away from the typical archetypes (elves, dwarves, etc) and create a world all their own. Things like the Malazan Book of the Fallen are my area of interest, and I'm quite fond of humourous fantasy as well, like David and Leight Eddings' novels. My least favourite type of books...University-level academic textbooks. They're often very poorly written; they're informative, but informative is no good when it's impossible to read them without getting bored stupid. Even if I'm interested in the subject, I find it hard to read about it in such a manner.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?

It depends on the size of the text and the complexity of the novel. A page from one of Erikson's novels could take me two minutes at least. Something simpler, less than a minute; I'm a fast reader.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
    *shrug* Your loss.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?

Usually immediately, although there have been cases where it's taken me a chapter or two to pick up on things, because it's been kept deliberately vague.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?

Anywhere between a week and a month. Normally two weeks, depending on how quickly and completely the book captures my attention and how much else I have to do.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?

The first time through, yes, because I don't want to miss anything. Occasionally I'll re-read pages or paragraphs to make sure I've understood precisely what it is people are saying. I'm a fast reader, and I tend to skim over things if I don't stop to consider them.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?

I can read pretty much anywhen.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?

I don't mind, so long as I'm at the end of a paragraph. I can't just stop mid-sentence or anything like that.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
I have done on occasion, in "Oh, I'll just finish this chapter, and then I'll get around to it." scenarios.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?

Usually a feeling of contentment, or excitement regarding the next instalment. It's been a long time since I felt disappointed after I finished reading a book.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?

Nope. I force myself to persevere with things. I'm usually a fairly good judge of what I'd like to read and what I wouldn't, so this doesn't happen to me very often...and when it does, it's probably my own fault for not paying it enough attention.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?

Yes. What's the point in buying a book if you're only going to read it once? All of my series I've read through at least twice, some more than that. I come back to them every two or three years...some of them are still going on, so I tend to re-read the lot before the next book comes out, to familiarise myself with the characters and world again.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?

The title and the blurb. I'll pick something up in a bookstore, glance at the blurb, and then read a little of the beginning, to see what the author's writing style is like. But fancy titles often pique my interest. xD

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?

Well kept, but with the telltale signs of wear that they'd been read more than once.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?

I'm very much a series person. A good story CAN be told in one book, but I like a long build-up and the structure a series provides. It feels more natural when time is skipped, or a totally different character's perspective is taken, if it's in a totally different book.

I added another question! "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?"

    Yup.
    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
Because unlike films and video games its not set on what someone else thinks it should look like, you create what the world looks like and its nobody else.
    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
I really enjoy horror books, my imagination runs away with it. My least favorite is action books. Stuff about wars and such are so boring. That kind of stuff happens every day in real life. I might as well just read the newspaper.
    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
It depends really, i have quite a short attention span so if i've just started reading or if its a boring part of the book it can take up to five minutes but when i'm into it about 30 seconds to a minute.
    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
I don't have an opinion. If they don't want to read that's their decision.
    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
About the same amount of time it takes me to read the first few sentences ^-^' As soon as the author starts describing where they we are and whos where and such i've built a picture up in my mind. Although it does result in me picturing someone differently than they were intended.
    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
It depends on how much free time i have. Some books have taken me a few months but others have taken around three days.
    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
All the time! Especially when its really interesting or complex. I even sometimes read the page twice.
    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I have to be in the right mood to read for a few hours and still take it all in, but i can read in any mood really.
    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
It really bugs me, but the books i read the chapters are quite long so i have to suck it up and deal with it.
    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
When i know i'm gonna finish up my reading session yea i do. Because if i'm a few pages to the end of the chapter i'll carry on until i get to the end.
    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Slight disappointment that the experience has ended and a sense of pride that i saw it all the way though but then i'll just move onto another book and not really care.
    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
Not because of that no, i've only ever dropped one book and thats because it was in a series and i couldn't find the tenth book so i got the eleventh instead and then dropped it when i got the tenth.
    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
No. If the book was good enough i'll remember it well enough not to have to re-read it.
    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
Mostly the front cover. If its that horrid generic times new roman bevelled authors name at the top i probably won't read it. Also i tend to read the back of the book or the first page to decide if i like the look of it.
    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
I'd want to see my book all battered and dog eared with pages torn out and the stuck back in again. Just to see its been read.
    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
Series. I like to know that once i've finished the book thats theres something i can move onto to carry it on. Plus series tend to do that thing where they reveal details further along and i love it when they do that.
    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
Nope. not a single bit, I love it when the author takes time to really paint the picture of whats happening rather than just two people stood in a white room talking.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
Yeah, it's one of my major forms of entertainment.

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
I guess the main reason is that I can find what I like in books. There are limits on what gets made into TV, movies, etc. Plus books have been around forever and there are millions of them so... you got a lot to choose from.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
I like novels with fantastic elements. Classic fantasy, spooky ghosts, or science fiction, or magical realism, or anything that seems related. I also like literature, and when I say that I mean the stuff that's got really good writing and still gets read 30, 40, 50 years after it was first written - a.k.a. not just any fiction - including writers like Vladimir Nabokov or Jorge Luis Borges.

I don't care for cheap, paperback fantasy and science fiction. I also don't like a lot of the quirky, dysfunctional, memoir-ish fiction that I see all over bookstores.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
Depends on the book. I'm generally a little slow reading since I like to roll in the words like a kitten in catnip.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
It makes me hope they have some other artistic interest like music or film or something because I think it's really fulfilling to have something like that. I feel like I might have less to talk to someone about if they don't read. Or don't read for pleasure, rather.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
As quickly as it takes for light travels from the page to my eye and my brain to process it? If you mean something about imagining then... I dunno. Again, it depends on the book and how into it I feel. I generally get the "feelings" from a book very quickly, but visualizing a scene probably takes me longer.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
Depends on how interested I am in it. Okay, gonna stop saying that. I've been known to read a whole book cover to cover in a day, but usually it's a few weeks if I'm busy with life and maybe just a week if I have lots of free time and it's not a reeeaaallly long book.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Ah, you mean compared to when I'm reading something other than a book for pleasure. Yeah, I think so. Like reading posts at PC or news articles or whatnot. Not a whole lot of imagery in that kind of reading. I'm only ever slower when I'm reading something difficult to understand and I have to stop and reread and try to wrap my brain around it.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
As much as I like to read, I need do need to be in the mood for it, just a little. Once I start I have a hard time stopping, but I have to want to in the first place and there are so many things that can distract me.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
That's what bookmarks are for. I think it's fine. I do, though, like to finish at the end of a 'scene' or somewhere the flow of the narrative has settled down for a moment and not, for instance, in the middle of some dialogue.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
I don't look ahead. Too easy to spoil something that way.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Usually I feel a little sad. It's like I've lost something when that happens. I'll never be able to read that book again and be surprised by the story, never get to feel a character achieve or fail something so important to them with the same intensity, never get that same thrill of being so close to the end.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
I have tons of books I've never finished. I have plenty to choose from so if I find something isn't interesting I'm not usually going to keep reading. If I did get halfway through a book though I'd probably keep reading. Usually I can tell early on if I'm going to like something so if I got halfway I can be pretty sure there will be something worth reading for even if it's not the something I was hoping for.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
Not usually. I'd rather not end up like a friend of mine who loves to read... the same books over and over. It's almost impossible to get him to read something new even when I'm absolutely sure he'd love it.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
I like a nice cover, something that's not a full-cover photograph or other graphic with large and sharp and overly bright images, but rather something simpler and subtler. I like to read the first page of a book to get a feel of the writing style and there are some books which just suck me in on the first page because the writer just knows how to write and you can see that. You know that whatever they're going to write about it's going to be good.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
Like my personal copies of my own books? I'd want some nice copies just to have, but also some sturdy hardcover ones I could write thoughts and notes in. If you meant my general collection of books then they'd be the same as what I'd prefer now: sturdy, traveling books, ones with dings in cover, but otherwise good condition.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
I like novels that stand on their own. If it's going to be a series I'd prefer one that didn't just pick up where the last book left off. That's kind of like saying the book before didn't really end and unless it's really well written it usually means the main character(s) doesn't really go through any major changes in their life or view of the world since they need to remain somewhat the same to keep their appeal as a series character. That can get kind of boring. Like: "Hey, I just saved the world in the last book, but in this book I'm going back to my everyday life like that never happened."

    Edit:

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
Not really. And if we're talking about "realistic" dialogue (i.e., accurate to real like ways of speaking) then hell no. That's the kind of thing my eyes pass over in books, just like all the "she said"s most people don't actually stop to read. I enjoy the dialogue a lot more when some characters speaks for several paragraphs, like in ye olde 19th century books, since they often have lots of flair and drama.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
    yesssss

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
    fantasy > reality

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
Horror, mystery. Because I am a goth.
Least favourite? ughhh i don't really look into stuff I'm not interested in.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
It depends on the size of the font and detail of the writing.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
We can never be close friends.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
As soon as there's a descriptive passage.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
Depends on how interesting it is. It will either be a single day, or up to a few months.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Yeah I will often read a page 2-3 times to fully absorb it all.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
Right mood, it's the same for almost anything that takes effort lol.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
    I never do it.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
Yes, because when I'm deciding that I've read enough I will check to see if I will just finish this chapter, or read the next.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Depends on how good it is.I'll try and figure out the meaning of what I just read, and like Scarf, if I thought it was really good I'll be upset that it's over.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
Not in recent years seeing as I only pick up a book if it really interests me anyway, and I've always been right in assuming what will appeal to me.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
I prefer to seek out new things.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
A plot that appeals to me, simply. I prefer to read books that are considered classics, because it's rare that they're going to be bad.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
It doesn't matter, the idea itself is what matters and I'd always have that right by my side. Copies aren't of importance to me.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
    Single.

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?

    Never.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
    Yes.

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
Because a book is different than any other form of media, because you can personalise it and use your imagination, which I like, since most media forces you to sit and stare.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
I love crime thrillers, thrillers, horrors and science fictions. Hate hate hate romance, anything to do with it.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
It depends on what I am doing around the time I am reading, but can take me from a week to a month, depending on how busy I am and how big the book is.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
You are missing out. Go back to your mindless TV.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
Pretty much instantly. I can draw up descriptions of people, places and so on quickly as I am reading in my head.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
Again, depends on what I am doing around the time.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Nope. I might stop at times if there has been a lot of description or a twist to think about it.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I think being in the right mood helps.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
Don't do it. Can't do it. Hate doing it. Will finish the chapter.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
If I am rushing or have somewhere to go. Other than that, it is like checking to see how long left the film has, it clearly isn't that interesting if you are thinking about anything else except the book.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Depends on my opinion of the book.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
I have dropped a couple of books. Twilight was one since everyone was hyping on about it, so I wanted to see what it was about.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
    Not really.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
I guess the cover. Most crime/thrillers/horrors and so on have an individual type of covers, so I go to them.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
I wouldn't be bothered as long as people enjoyed it.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
    Doesn't bother me.

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
Depends on the book. But I think if you have one being overpowering and one underpowering, then the book is going to be out balanced.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
    Not really.

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
I wouldn't call the factual reading I do 'entertaining', it's just nice to read about and learn things.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
Favourites: 'How to...' sorts of things, I suppose. Also manga.
    Disfavourites: Novels.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
As long as it would take for one to could speak it, I can't go faster, like I don't understand how one could and still comprehend the words.
This means that, relative to most people, I'm incredibly slow.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
That is unfortunate, particularly if the implication it lends —that they can't read— is true; but I'm sure they have other interests.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
Given what I read, there's no imagination to it; but I could think suchlike instantly.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
The nature of the books I prefer is more as a reference work: I can start at any page and stop at any other, even read them in reverse order, so I don't often go 'through' a book as such unless it is a storybook, which I read few of. In any case, I don't keep effective track of the time during such activities.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Anything, book or not, with close line-spacing and small text, will take longer to read.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I usually read while eating. Otherwise, yes, I have to feel like getting on with something, though I most often draw at such times.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
I don't feel anything about it... not that I read chaptered books.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
    No.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Awareness of one's surroundings floods in, it's like waking up.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Nothing appeals to me about the series, but I once thought I'd try anyway given how much people made of it.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
    Of fiction: no.
    Of fact: yes.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
If it caters to some interest of mine, or is cute.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
I wouldn't write books to sell, they might even be released to the public domain, so it's not my care nor say what people do with them.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
    Single.

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
    No.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
Yes I do, there is one sitting inches from me right now.

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
    I enjoy

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
    Favorites: Fantasy
Least Favorites: Books about people finding "the ancients" and using their technology. Especially when it makes no sense in the setting.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
It depends on many factors. Font, font size, words per page, all of that.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
Most of the people I know that "don't read" spend hours a day playing Madden, Call of Duty, and spending their parents' money.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
It happens instantly unless the writing is absolute crap. Imagining the world that the book describes is one of the things that keeps me reading.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
It depends on how much I am enjoying it. Right now I am reading the War of the Ancients trilogy and I finished the first book in 4 days.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Anything, book or not, with close line-spacing and small text, will take longer to read.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I read whenever I have spare time, unless I am gaming or hanging out with friends. I even carry my book from class to class so I can take any chance I get to read a page or two.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
I don't really care unless it is a very important scene. Sometimes I ask if I can finish the chapter as an excuse to continue reading.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
    No.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
Yes. I reread the entire Harry Potter series over the summer of '09, but that may have been due to my depression at the time.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
If it is a classic (LOTR) or good and popular (Harry Potter) or just catches my eye (Eragon)

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
I actually am trying to write a book, and I think I will release my books in a way similar to how Scott Sigler gives away his novels.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
No real preference. If I like a book and there is a sequel, I'll read it.

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
It's like what they always say in English class: show, don't tell.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
    Yes, of course!

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
I love fiction, I'm addicted to it. Whether it comes by page, small screen or big screen is inconsequential - I will devour it all.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
My favourites, as with all fiction, would have to be the supernatural/sci-fi (and I use the word supernatural instead of fantasy - fantasy is a dirty word to me, it makes you picture unicorns and fairies dancing in Polly Pocket-land) genre. Though I also like comedies and autobiographies (not biographies, autobiographies).

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
Quite a while. I haven't timed exactly, but I'm a fairly slow reader because I like to take everything in and savour it. I don't understand how people can start and finish a book in the same day, that feels like madness to me.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
Heathens. It doesn't really bother me when people say they don't read, but I do think they're missing out on a very rewarding experience out of laziness. It also makes me worry for the future of the world a little bit.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
It's instantaneous. Sometimes the description isn't even necessary because my imagination just forms things the way I want to see them anyway.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
It can take me a month or even two just to read a book that isn't even particularly long. Not because I have a below-average reading level, just because I really like to savour a book, as I mentioned above. Also, I tend to only read right before I'm going to bed, so that slows down the process too.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Yes. See Questions 4 and 7 lol

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I do need to be in the right mood to actually pick up a book, but it's the same as not wanting to take a bath when you're a kid - you know you'll have tons of fun once you're in there, but actually getting up the motivation to begin can be difficult, especially if you're tired.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
I do that all the time. I don't mind, really. As long as I've finished the page I'm on, that's fine with me. I can't stop mid-page.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
Yeah, but I'm really not sure why lol. I guess it just feels like an achievement when you finish a chapter, so you want to know how long it'll take to get there.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Sadness. Because I take so long to read a book, the characters become part of my life for that period of time and when their story ends it never feels good, even if the ending is happy.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
Very, very rarely do I drop a book. I think I've only done it once - but it was a Deltora Quest book so I'm not sure if that really counts :P

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
Of course! I've read the Harry Potter series more times than I can count (except for Book 7, which I could only bring myself to read once so far - damn it that book is so sad), and I've read the Twilight series twice (the second time for the lols) and I've read both Bridget Jones's Diary books at least twice, they're hilarious.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
Usually either an author's name or the cover design. They say never to judge a book by its cover, but I'm sorry - if you put a picture of a real person on the cover of your book, it makes the book seem automatically shallow to me (unless of course it is an autobiography or the special cover that comes out when a book gets made into a movie) and I will not read it. Title also plays a big role.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
Once a person buys a book they can treat it however they like, as long as they read it. The copies of the books themselves do not matter - you can always buy another copy if it gets ruined. What matters is that the story inside is enjoyed.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
Series. It allows way more time and depth for the story to really get under your skin. I read series way more than singular stories.

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
Oh definitely. The descriptions can become slow and laborious to read after a while, whereas the dialogue does more to advance the story and your attachment to the characters.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
Yes, but recently I've stopped. The internet and life in general seems to be eating up my time/urge to read u.u

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
I enjoy creating the stories in my head, like your own personal movie that is exactly how you want it in every way.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
I love pretty much all fiction books, but mystery and nonfiction hold my attention a lot less than, say, science fiction or fantasy.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
I've...never really measured it, but depending on the size of the page, I'd say about a minute or less.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
They're lying and don't even realize it. If they ever write something, they had to read to do that. If they drive, they need to read signs. If they use the internet, they read. If they cook, they probably read. Most video games require basic reading skills. Reading, although not necessary for life, is something that would be pretty hard to live without in today's world, it seems..

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
Um..I see it as soon as there's the first description of the character/setting.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
I usually only read long books, so it usually takes me a good 2-6 hours to read a book.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Not really. I read slowest if I need to read for information.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I can read at any time, but to write on my stories and books I need to be in the right mood.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
Awhmygosh, I cannot describe how much I hate doing that >.>

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
Nope, unless it's just that I really, really enjoy the story and don't want it to end, so I count the pages to make it seem like it'll never end.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
That sad feeling that the story is over, combined with whirling in my mind about things they forgot to finish or clarify, and what would happen if the story continued, or what happened to those side-characters that you never found out what happened to them. I usually end up writing these out xD

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
I've only done it once, and it was a book on the geographical relevence of Oklahoma dirt compared to Arkansas dirt, or something like that. I...must've been insane to even pick it up.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
With every single good book I read, si :3

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
The title is the first thing that catches my eye. Then I look at the cover, if it's attractive, I read the back or inside flaps to find out what it's about. Generally, if the title is good enough, I'll look at it even if the cover is ugly.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
Dog-eared, tear stained, and worn <3

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
Series, always. I never want the story to end n.n

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
Well...they're both interesting and good in their own ways. I love them both so much xD..

I did this without reading anyone else's posts, which is very hard for me I'll have you know!!

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
    Yes.

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
I like the feeling of getting lost in a book. Almost the same as getting lost in a movie, but lasts so much longer so it's nicer.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
I like mysteries, realistic fiction, and fantasies. I find I'm always drawn to books with someone fighting against a corrupt government or some kind of over dominating presence. My least favorites are probably romance novels. Just because I get way to into them while reading and I start going through the emotions of the people in the book which in those books are all over the place and by the end of the book I'm an emotional mess!

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
Depends on the book. I take my time though since I see reading as a leisurely activity when I'm reading a book in my spare time. Otherwise I fly through it.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
Uhh nothing. If you don't like to read you don't like to read. I know there are times I have to force myself to get into reading such as lately.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
If by that you mean imagine it in my head, almost instantly.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
Depends once again. If I love it usually only a few days depending on how much time I devote to reading a day.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
If I really want to take in everything then yes I do at times.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I have to be in the mood.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
I am someone who likes to end once a chapter is done, but there are times when I'm so into a book I'll force myself to keep going and so halfway into a chapter I'm near dead and start reading the same lines over and over by accident. At that point I know it's time to quit if I really want to enjoy it so it doesn't bother me too much.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
    Yes!

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Mixed if it was a book I really liked. Glad to finally know the ending, but sad that it's over.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
Only once because it was truly terrible. It was about some lone Indian woman traveling through the forest and literally nothing happened. The most exciting part was she bathed naked and saw a bear. It wasn't even descriptive!!

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
I've done it with chapters, but not a whole book.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
Cover/what I read in the little summary part.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
I like that really old antique book look personally.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
A single. I've only read three series I think or maybe two... not sure at the moment.

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
They're about the same for me.

Finnally have time to answer this, found it right before school :(

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
    Yes
    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
Because I love how when you read it kinda takes you away in a different place away from reality, how you just imagine and watch the book in a sense.
    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
    Ficton/Fantasy, ect.
    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
    Around a minute.
    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
Why not? Honestly reading is pretty fun, I guess I can get why, maybe they dont actually enjoy it, and I respect that. But their missing out.
    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
Not that long maybe the first few pages.
    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
Takes a few weeks I guess, I like to take it slow espc if its a series, so theres not a big gap till the next book. That and I might not read allot.
    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Not really, but I guess so, I like to imagine but I saw normal speed, maybe a little fast.
    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I can start any time but if I'm not in the "right mood" I'll put it down
    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
Im fine with it, to get up to get a drink. But then you somehow always stop right at a good part or yeah.
    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
Not really, I may once in a while.
    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
"Oh darn" Because its done, and lets say the next book aint out for a while or its just a good book.
    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
Not really, I may have once on a series but I just pick up later and see how it goes.
    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
Ugh I hate re reading or Re watching though I guess I have re read and yeah a few times before.
    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
    The subject.
    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
I would like to see some wear because then I would know that people read it, maybe reread or passed along to a friend (though me being me, I like stuff being perfect)
    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
Series, so you have something to look forward to the next. Though a single is pretty good.
    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
Nah, I like descriptions more the dialogue.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment? Occasionally.
    2. If yes, why? If not, why not? I need to do something besides video games and TV sometimes :P
    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites? I like non-fiction reference books related to automobiles, the lodging industry, and highway travel. I don't like reading fiction.
    4. How long does it take you to read a page? Depends on how much of the page is taken up by diagrams, photos, or maps.
    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?" Their choice.
    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading? Immediately, usually. Unless the book's poorly organized.
    7. How fast do you typically go through a book? Depends on the book. Most of the time, I don't read through the entire thing, I just flip directly to the section that I need to reference.
    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book? Nope.
    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time? Any time.
    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that? I only read enough to get the information I need. Most of my books aren't sorted by chapter anyway; they're sorted by either the state or highway covered in that section.
    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it? Nope.
    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get? "I got the information I need, that's always a good thing."
    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book? Yeah, I have.
    14. Re-reads. Do you do them? Every time I need to look up information again. I must have gone back to read our Yellow Pages dozens of times.
    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book? How it's organized, whether it contains the information I need, whether it's from a trustworthy source.
    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in? Doesn't matter to me.
    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single? Usually single, though some books I read, like hotel directories, are updated yearly.
    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree? My books rarely have either, though my car repair books do have detailed descriptions on how to remove parts like the transmission and brakes, and hotel directories do describe the amenities that each property offers. So, descriptions, I guess?

    1. Do you read books for entertainment?
All the time. Reading is one of my top ways to have fun, so I always have a book with me.

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not?
I'm not sure why I like reading so much. I just know that my parents wanted me to know how to read, and I've always been reading whenever I can.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites?
Fantasy series. Maybe some science-fiction. I don't like reading nonfiction or historical fiction.

    4. How long does it take you to read a page?
Not sure. Never really sat there and timed myself. I think maybe forty seconds of a trade paperback.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?"
I secretly judge them as not worth my time, but other than that I don't care. Until they're staring at me for reading like they have never seen a book before.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading?
Immediately. I pin that on my active imagination and the fact that I'm also a writer.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book?
Depends on the book. If I'm really interested in it, I can read it all in one day. Otherwise, I just take small doses of the book, and have it done over the course of a few weeks. But right now, my average is a book-and-a-half a week.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book?
Nope. I'm a fast reader no matter what it is.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time?
I can read any time, any place, any mood.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that?
I do it all the time. When reading in small doses during boring moments, one has to be prepared to stop reading at any place in the book. So I'm not bothered by it.

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it?
Nope. I do count how many pages I have left in total.

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get?
Depends on the book. Most of the time, I just jump from one book to the next without really thinking about it. Some books, though, give me a sort of emotional rush, and I need to take a few days to recover.

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book?
Once that I can remember. It was A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them?
All the time with my favorites.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book?
Author for some. Recommendations for others. And "OMG DRAGONS!" for the rest.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in?
Don't care. Would prefer for them to buy the books first-hand so I could get some money. But as for the condition, don't care.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single?
    Either or.

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree?
Depends on what the description is of. Scenery is boring. The characters' thoughts and feelings are what interests me, and dialogue is where one can see how the characters interact with one another.

    1. Do you read books for entertainment? Sometimes, if I feel up to it. I've started reading more now that I have to wait at the bus stop for a while.

    2. If yes, why? If not, why not? I just love to read, and picking up trivia facts is a cool bonus.

    3. What type of books are your favorites? What are your least favorites? My favorites are non-fiction books about computer history or astronomy. My least favorites are romance books. I can't stand romance. D:

    4. How long does it take you to read a page? Depends how noisy it is-- I can't concentrate if it's too loud, and I keep losing my place. So it takes longer. In my room alone, I can read pretty quickly. But I've never timed myself or anything.

    5. What is your opinion on people who say "I don't read?" I think they're missing out. And it kinda makes me question their intelligence.

    6. From when you first start reading, how long does it take you to see what you're reading? Not very long. Even though I read mostly informational books, I can totally picture it all.

    7. How fast do you typically go through a book? Somewhere between a few days and a month. Depending on how long it is.

    8. Do you find yourself reading slower than you normally do when you're reading a book? Well, sometimes I want to savor it if it's a really good book... So yeah.

    9. Do you have to be in the right mood to start reading, or can you start at any time? Yeah, I need to be in a good mood.

    10. Ending your reading session in the middle of a chapter. How do you feel about that? I hate it, but sometimes its necessary. D:

    11. Counting the pages left in a chapter while you're reading. Do you do it? All the time. xD

    12. When you finish a book, what kind of feeling do you get? A combination of "yay, I can start a new book now!" and "aww... I'm going to miss *some character*!"

    13. "I'm halfway through this book, and it is getting progressively worst. I'm not reading this anymore!" Ever drop a book? Oh yes, sometimes I can't go with the author's writing style.

    14. Re-reads. Do you do them? Sometimes, only if I'm desperate for something to read.

    15. What draws your interest in picking up a book? The subject. If I'm reading something it has to be about an interesting topic, because I'm going to be reading ~200 pages worth of information on it.

    16. If you were an author, what condition would you like your books to be in? All shiny and new and in a library where everyone could read them.

    17. Do you prefer reading a series, or just a single? Series are nice, because you get to see the characters again.

    18. "OMG CHARACTER DIALOGUE!! so much more interesting than descriptions!!" Do you agree? I like both, really. But dialogue does really show off the character's feelings and personality more, I think.
