Speculation on the role of colors and light

This is pure speculation based on what I noticed from this trailer. I think that colors and light are pretty recurrent themes in this trailer. First of all, this game really looks much like PLA, with very few changes and some improvements. One of the things that make the difference, is the usage of color and lights. The region seems to be Spain, therefore heat and sun, hence very bright colors. A rainbow is shown in the very first few images of the game and last but not least the plaza. It has all the pokemon typing and each type has a color.
There are some few things to notice. First of all the names of these games, we're back to colors. Last ones were Black and White and those colors hinted the new Legendaries. Also, the light is a recurrent element in the trailer. First of all everything is dark, and the policeman has a light. Secondly, there's the Game Freak sign that glows in the dark, then the policeman enters this room and a flash of light catches him and the actual trailer starts. Last but not least, in the end of the trailer when the names of the games are shown there is an animation of light. If u slow down the trailer, u can notice that from the fire type starter a light comes out and from there there are two small orbs (orange and violet) that become bigger and transform into the game titles. I mean, this could be a hint or something. I don't think we're gonna have a legendary made of light, because there is Necrozma already, but it still seems to be an important element. I think that pokemon types could be very relevant for these games. Maybe a new typing, The light typing? After all, it's been almost 9 years since the fairy type. Colors may refer to typing as well. Maybe a new game mechanic about typing?
In general, the Japanese games logo often hint what the mechanics of the game is going to be. A star is represented. The star appears in the trailer several times. On the plaza walls, for example. Again, next to where all the pokemon typing are represented. PLA could have been a teaser for this game with plates. I won't add more because it's spoilers and I am at a very early phase of PLA, so idk too much yet. Also, idk if it's just a coincidence or not, but an OLED switch is shown. Again, OLED refers to light and colors lol.
What do you think?

I noticed this my second watch after looking at the logos.

For me, the logos give me a 'digital' vibe. The violet, which most people seem to point out space looking, but for me, you can see lines in the background that seems like it could be digital or lines you see in coding or when electronic devices become corrupt with a virus.

With Scarlet, it reminds me of a wall and the red looks like flames, like a Firewall. We have not had legendary Pokémon that refer to the digital age other than Mewtwo and Genesect. So I think these could be digital programs that someone has made into real pokemon similar to Porygon. We haven't really explored digital pokemon in a long time.

I think both of these could relate to at least the Light Aspect of the trailer.

I personally find it kinda funny that the shade of violet they picked is the same one that the Spanish Republic from the early twentieth century used on the flag.
I don't know what significance it'll have, but it will cause controversy in Spain, that's for sure

Hm, this is a super interesting theory. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility; the light/color motif are definitely present in the trailer, but I'm not sure if that could be indicative of a whole new type. Regardless, it's definitely something to consider as more information comes out!

As for the typing. I think we can completely rule out a new typing in these games. With all the types being on the ground in that circle and there being 18 rectangles, it doesn't really leave room for another typing.

I also think Fairy has taken away the possibility of a Light type. I think the only two types that may work at some point is sound and maybe digital which probably could go with each other as a single type. I remember reading a long time ago that Fairy and Fighting are basically the "Light" types. Which both are strong against the "Dark" type. So it really wouldn't make sense to have another 'Light' typing.

The names kinda remind me of Red and Blue. Maybe because scarlet is basically red and violet is just a mix of red and blue? I wonder if that's intentional, especially since GF likes referencing Kanto.

I don't know what they could be refering to with the colors. But I know that violet isn't a color you can find in nature that much. It's usually used to convey something unnatural, poisonous (like the Poison Type) or just something that doesn't fit in the natural world. In that regard maybe they do try to delve into something more technological.

Also, "scarlet" I definitely associate with Spain, for some reason...

The color of the Second Spanish Republic flag is Violet, Gold, and Red. So I think they chose these colors to represent this in game.

Certainly, that colour scheme is a controversial topic, as, well, our current flag -chosen by fascist dictator Francisco Franco- is red and gold and the issue of the Second Republic, overthrown by Franco after a long civil war whose effects are still felt nowadays [the last two mayors of Madrid have been removing and returning street names honouring Francoists, in a sort of cultural battle between left and right], is contentious to be the least.

There's also the pretty amazing thing that these two colours happen to match the colours of the two parties making up our current left-wing coalition government- red socialists and purple communists.

I didn't want to make a completely new thread for this idea, since it kinda links with what was said and maybe it being 'digital' instead of Light and Color. It may be nothing at all.

During the trailer when the security guard finds that extra room, there is about a second in the trailer that it shows a web with something in the middle. This icon or symbol is focused in on, which seems odd and out of place for such a random thing.

Spoiler:

Again, it could be nothing. But it could link to the 'web' as in internet. Or the symbols around it could be something else.

Well, there were pretty interesting ideas here. I just wanted to add that another analogy could have been to take the light spectrum that goes from scarlet (infrared light) to violet (ultraviolet light) and interpret it as a timeline. The scarlet part is the past and the violet is the future. It could have been a nice guess back then lol
