I would have a Feebas as a gift. It is rare and evolves into a Milotic <3

feebas are really hard to find, even if you have one it is really hard to evolve into milotic. magikarp are easier to catch

That is why Feebas would be a better gift.

I evolved my feebas into a Miltoic and it is now on lv 100 :)

Feebas would be a better gift. A Gyarados (or a Magikarp) wouldn't make much sense as a gift. (Unless you get conned to buying a Magikarp. Magikarp Salesman anyone?)

I never did. I actually preferred Goldeen in the earlier games. I remember Team Rocket falling for it over and over again so I knew to stay away from that guy! XD

500 Poke is a tad outrageous (when you could clearly catch one yourself for free). But if you train it by baiting and switching, and it evolves into Gyarados, your hard work will prove worthwhile.

The price is a bit steep but earning cash in the pokemon world has never been a problem! ^__^

Magikarp are so hard to train, that baiting and switching is the only method you can really use.

Not sure, but my bro's Squirtle was the first water type I've ever used.

My first capture Water Pokemon was...uh...I think a Goldeen. It was a long time ago, so my memory is fuzzy. (I don't count Squritle and the Magikarp as 'catches' really.)
