The toes are a nice addition, but the shading you've put on the left foot and the yellow belly area don't really fit. You're using the kind of shading you would see on a rounded object: top bit highlighted, lower part shaded. That kind of shading works for parts like the head, but a foot is probably going to be mostly flat on the bottom and flat surfaces tend to have a constant level of shading.
Here's a visual in case I'm not being clear.
Ignoring that some objects are in the shadows of others, you can see how the lighting only changed across surfaces that curve. Obviously, pixels aren't the same as real objects and lighting doesn't have to be photo-realistic, but it's good to know a little bit of this stuff anyway so you can simulate the effects.
