Uhhh... Who do people prefer out of Donald and Goofy? When you have to swap in a character in worlds like Agrabah and Halloween Town, do you do it, or just have the standard trio?

Personally, I like Sora, Goofy and Guest. Donald dies too much for my liking. XD;

Next KH playthrough I may stick to them only and not use guests as much. Square Enix, you may have fooled me when I was a kid and made me toil away to grind for them, but I know better now. Why level characters you never see again? xD

I stick with Donald and Goofy, unless I'm forced to have someone else in the party. The only times I ever use anyone else is for Auron and Riku, in which case I'll use Goofy and them. Donald, it's not that he dies so much, it's that he's really just kinda useless to me. I don't really find the games that difficult to need a healer in my party.

Donald and Goofy have never let me down. (save for Marluxia's Absent Silhouette)
It just doesn't feel right for me to fight without them. They make the best trio ever.

It's good that they made the EXP for guests carry over to the next though. c: I might do the opposite in my current playthrough (just finished Roxas' part of the game -sob-), and play it Sora -> Donald -> Goofy. Though no way am I keeping Riku out of my party in TWTNW. ♥

Although I've always loved Donald (he's my fav. Mickey character), I usually have Goofy in my party, since my typical strategy is an all-out offensive with physical attacks.

I've always like using Sora, Donald, Guest. Goofy always just seemed kinda limited to me...though this is only in KH2. I hated Donald in KH1. All he did was use up the many wonderful items I decided to give him, even after I changed his setup. Yeah...and then he died.

Anyway, I know this is kinda out of place and the argument might already be over, but about the English BBS secret boss...

Could it be Master Xehanort's Nobody? He lost his heart in a manner similar to Sora, by releasing the heart through the process of the Keyblade of People's Hearts. Couldn't that mean that the Xemnas-like boss could be his Nobody? But if so, wouldn't that mean he also has a heartless? Just my input...

Couldn't that mean that the Xemnas-like boss could be his Nobody? But if so, wouldn't that mean he also has a heartless? Just my input...

I don't think so, because his heart was transferred to Terra, and not turning immediately into a Heartless. But you may be right, as it's not impossible until we find out :)

I think Xemnas is just Master Xehanort's Nobody (but made using Terra's body, obviously). :/ Think about it this way: MX is kind of using Terra's body as a vessel. His heart may be the dominant one but technically it's only there for the ride, much like Kairi's heart with Sora. And Naminé wasn't created the moment Kairi's body lost her heart. Likewise, Ven's heart is hiding away in Sora and he never got a Nobody (and if you wanna argue that Roxas is as much his Nobody as Sora's, then he still didn't get a Nobody until Sora evicted everyone release his heart to release Kairi's).

But even if the mysterious new person is MX's Nobody, why use the aerial blades instead of the keyblade? :/ It's not like the amnesia issue (if that's really true) where Terra!Xehanort didn't even remember wielding a keyblade and thus his Nobody may not have the ability... MX definitely wielded a keyblade and like Sora→Roxas, I'd expect his Nobody to as well.

Finally, the timeline doesn't match up anyway. :< By the time MX released his heart to take over Terra's body, the Land of Departure had already been destroyed. Since the battle seemingly takes place in the world when it's in perfect condition, that probably means it's an extra flashback sort of fight that's non-canon or... idk. Something along those lines. u_u

This is a really good point that I didn't think of, but didn't Roxas technically have a heart? I remember something about this a while back. Roxas had a heart because he had Ven's heart (the wonderful third heart in Sora) which gave him the ability to wield a keyblade. Xion was a copy, so that's how she has hers (along with the fact that she wasn't really a Nobody either) suggesting that without a heart, the Nobody couldn't wield a keyblade. I mean, this kinda makes sense in that a Keyblade is chooses its wielder on the strength of their heart (if I remember KH1 correctly) and so a Nobody technically shouldn't be able to wield one. This would explain why he uses that weapon instead. This might work like this: MX's power is the Aerial Blades, allowing his Nobody to have it. His heart, which was in Terranort, gave way to Xemnas's ability to wield them later on. This is how they both have the ability to use them.

You know? We really should try to make some sense of Kingdom Hearts some time...

I don't think Xion had a heart... I think Vexen just programmed her so that she felt like she did (much like Riku Replica thought he had one and definitely had believable feelings). Or that's what I've always believed. D: But the keyblade thing makes sense, hmm. It would definitely explain why they were so surprised when Roxas appeared and could use the keyblade. I mean, if the Organization had ANY idea that Sora would only have to be turned into a Nobody in order to use him as the keyblade wielder, they probably would have done that from Day 1.

'Cause let's face it, Roxas was even more malleable and gullible than Xion. XD; And even if he hadn't been and had all of Sora's memories, it'd be a lot easier to convince someone with no heart and no morals to complete Kingdom Hearts for them than Sora. Especially with an entire Organization to accompany him and ensure he was never overwhelmed. (This would make an interesting AU fanfic. Hmm.)

But I'm fairly certain that Roxas does have a heart and that the heart is Ven's. Remember in Days when he enters C.O. with Axel to look for Xion after she flees and they take maybe 5 steps in and Roxas outright collapses? I bet that was his heart recognizing Ven and trying to go back/merge back with Ven (much like he merges back with Sora at the beginning of KH2... he had a headache like that in DiZ's computer room briefly, didn't he?) since Ven is somewhere in C.O. :o

One thing that doesn't explain, though, is how Xion & Roxas's powers were balanced. :s I always figured it was because they were both "using" Sora's heart but--oh wait. Oh. It still makes sense. Ven's heart was split in two and the light part of it (Ven) merged with Sora. If Roxas has Ven's heart, he still needs Sora's heart for it to be "complete" and stable. But if Xion is using/borrowing/whatevering Sora's heart, they would be subconsiously fighting over it, wouldn't they? @_@

But now I'm confused. :( How come Roxas fell unconscious when Sora was having his memories rearranged in Castle Oblivion then? He was fine before then when Sora's heart was (arguably) inaccessible (since iirc Xion can't use the keyblade until after Sora is sleeping?). So then why does he pretty much slip into a coma during the events of COM?

Is that even right? When did Xion first use the keyblade? I know Xemnas introduces her to the Org as another keyblade wielder but does she use the keyblade? You start going on missions with her the day Axel leaves for C.O., iirc, but doesn't she just follow you and spam magic spells instead of fight properly? :s It's been too long since I've played.

omg this was so long and I didn't even mention aerial blades. but that makes sense and now i've confused myself on the roxas/xion/sora/ven part lmao. ;~;

Q:The North American version of BBS is to be released soon?
Nomura: Yes, it will be released Sept 7. Even though we've added many things, the story has changed little. Mark Hamill will be voicing Master Eraqus, And the voice of Master Xehanort is Leonard Nimoy. A new mysterious enemy has been added. It's terribly strong, so winning is an achievement. You meet it twice (possibly? I'm guessing that this is what that refers to), and Debacker had to try twenty times before defeating it once.

Q: Is it stronger than the first secret boss?
Nomura: We took a survey, and some people thought it was a little stronger than the first secret boss, but others thought it was far stronger. Like the Lingering Sentiment of KH2FM+, its attacks are hard to predict, unlike the first one, which has movements that are fairly easy to read. The new enemy will use nefarious tricks.

Q: Is the new character also involved with the story?
N: As with the Lingering Sentiment, at the time of KHBBS I can't reveal that.

Q: And the other major changes?
N: Mega Flare proved too strong and violent, so we've weakened that ability. In addition, there were complaints about the reward for defeating the Vanitas Sentiment, so you will now receive his Keyblade as a prize. Such a modifitcation is a fun novelty that fits well in KH tradition.

Q: Is there a new secret movie?
N: No, sadly there is not, because we didn't have additional time. Instead, look to RE:Coded to prepare you for the secret movie. Please look forward to that, as NA gets no mobile content (implied: thus this is new content for NA). We considered many things, including KH:Days in the making of the secret movie.
