4th Gen Starter in Platinum?

Who will be your starter pokemon in Platinum?

Well, I finally decided between turtwig and chimchar. I'm going for the monkey.(Oh LORD, that sounds wrong) Besides, I chose piplup in pearl, and I'm using squirtle in leafgreen and treeko in emerald, so fire will be a nice change. :)
 
I'm going to start with the type I always start with, Fire

I don't care if Chimchar is terrible, I never have ruined my philosophy yet, and I'm not going to start now

Chimchar, because in my Pearl I'm going to choose Piplup. (My DS was broken when I got Pearl, so yeah.)
 
I'll end up picking Chimchar, not because I like him, but just because the first few gyms kinda demand him.
 
I've chosen Piplup in every single playthrough of the D/P/P Generation... even in my Japanese version of Platinum... so I think I'll be going through the English Platinum with Turtwig. However, I may choose Chimchar, if I don't want to use the additional Fire types they added to the game. (I'm thinking of going for Houndoom, but I'm not sure...)

But anyway, my initial choice is Turtwig, at the moment.
 
ill probably pick piplup. i see it as the hardest to beat the game with, and whats pokemon without a challenge?
 
Turtwig for me. I love a good Physical Sweeper and I'm happy with one! I hope I get a female, though, since they OWN! Woohoo!

I've always went with Piplup in DP, so it'll be the same for Platinum.
 
I used to always pick the fire starters in EVERY game. I remember the only time I didn't do that was in Silver, when I picked a Totodile, but then I got stuck somewhere and restarted and picked Cyndaquil. Later, when I restarted Emerald and Leafgreen I picked the grass starters, and that's what Im going to do for Platinum (Although Treecko sucked. A lot. Saur was cool though<3)

im gonna cheat and start with a shiny eevee XD lol nah maybe ill start with chimchar
 
Im using Piplup because i have started with Chimchar in Diamond and Turtwig in Pearl. So i thought i would change it up and have Piplup to see how i do with him as my starter. But im sure if i train and work with Piplup it will be a good pokemon to start with and i will get past the first gym easy. ^_^
 
I am probably going to chose piplup. I love Empoleon.

Ah well..

I'm not sure which starter I'll go with, but I was seriously thinking of choosing Piplup, since I used Chimchar in Pearl. Really, though.. I'm not too fond of any of the starters, which is weird because I usually like at least one out of three.

I see myself using Chimchar again, since Fire types are so lacking in Sinnoh. =[
