I... haven't been distributed a team, and as I'm only here for three or four more days and really do want to do this, is it okay if I use a team designated by a Random Generator?

You can have Hidden Power, since its maximum base power is 70. You can have anything with 70 base power and below. :)

Besides Umbreon, I never use these Pokemon so this will be interesting. Anyway, I started my journey last night. Named myself Shiro and did all the pregame stuff, then picked Treecko as my starter. I then traded over an Eevee and Delibird from my LeafGreen. Beat Roxanne and Beat Brawly then trained some and called it a night. The team at the moment:
