I'd like to request some help here, what is meant by 'Subscribing' to a thread? What does it do? And how do I do it?

I've been looking around for quite sometime without success and finally decided to ask this question here. If it has been explained somewhere else the please feel free to close this thread and posting a link to that post/thread here.

Choose it to get an email sent to your signed up email. It tells who posted and what, can be instant, delayed, never.

Along with the above, if you don't want it sent to your email, you can change it through the User CP to just show subscribed threads in your control panel. When viewing them in your control panel, bolded titles will be threads with new responses since you last posted, and if you click one to view the thread and go back it'll no longer be bolded until a new post appears.

Is there no way to subscribe which shall show me that there is activity on my subscribed thread directly on PC as a notification? That would be pretty helpful........

If you subscribe to a lot of threads, that could get pretty annoying though. I don't think there's such an option at this time.

Best thing, imo, is to choose the "no email notification" option and just keep your User Control Panel page bookmarked, or perhaps your subscribed threads page. On some styles, it's still a one-click access to your UserCP, so that makes it really swift and simple to check new replies in threads you are subscribed to.
