    So, I've been runnin' around Kanto, kinda angry and bored all the same, because I'm not enjoying my team like I did the first part of the journey. This had led to various streaks of battle factory, boredom surfing, and magikarp catching. THEN I GOT A SUPER ROD. >:D So I went all around the countries catchin' water-types at level 40. Poliwag, Lanturn, Kingler, more and more. I was having fun... and then I got the crazy idea to beat Lt. Surge with them. "screw type disadvantage, I can win this" and yes, without any healing items.

    Focus Sash Kingler, aka Bubbles, leads off against Raichu for zero reason! idk I'm winging stuff here. It knows Protect so I just block Shock Wave. I have Guillotine (why I have a sash), but I decided I might need that later and it probably wouldn't work anyway. So I switch to Lanturn #1 (aka illumanate) which happens to know Charge beam from that given TM, but first I get the game going by spamming switches between Gyarados and Lanturn. (bait and switch scam in pokémon?) I really only did it to weaken Raichu's annoying Quick Attack. Then I abuse charge beam during all those double teams and rip off surf after surf. (I got 2 or 3 boosts in out of all of them) Raichu falls after a while and then Electrode shows up. I eventually deal with that through more and more double team, but it was long. :/

    The other electrode however, was smart, stuck around to bleeding health and blew up. In turn, Lanturn fainted. Magneton and Electabuzz remained, but so was my other Lanturn. (but, it doesn't have charge beam, eh, only one of the TM) This was murder because I kept switching around trying to rid supersonic while it just abused MORE double team. (doesn't surge have enough?) I get in discharges, surfs, and signal beams occasionally and after the longest time, Magneton falls.

    Electabuzz appears as does good ol' Lapras. (though it's only level 43, still haven't done much with it) Perish Song activates as I stall by a switch and a kingler.

    By far the longest gym battle I've ever had, but it's cool that I was able to take down surge with a bunch of under-leveled water-types (I didn't touch Lanturn x2, Kingler, or Corsola, except added some surf, a charge beam, and some wacan berries here and there, oh and a focus sash)

    Fancy battle. Fancy pokemon. Included Corsola and Lanturn. I like.

    ^ super or good rod at Vermilion, New Bark (water to the right of your house)

    Now I feel PC needs another one of those Whirl Cup competitions.

    Ahh, the glory of many Water-Types. XD;

    I found a Chinchou at Virmillion with a Super Rod and Lv. 40. I wanted it at a weaker level so I used a Good Rod and found nothing. :( So I went back to the Super Rod and found a Lanturn. :D

    That thing was annoying to catch. :(

    Damn, that was pretty cool. Upon my first run of SS I found Surge to be hell to battle, took me ages to defeat him and that was without the extra challenge! Good battle though

    I meant use the good rod @ New Bark, no clue if it works at V.

    Also, hey thanks Abs. XD; And yeah, I can imagine will all that double-team spam. :|
