~!*sweet sixteen*!~

I've never done anything special for my birthday. Or as I should probably say - no one's done anything special for my birthday. Both phrases should give comparatively the same meaning. Besides, I'm not a fan of big birthday parties. I usually have small family get-togethers, and hang out with friends.

As you can probably guess, I did nothing special on my 16th.

I turned 16 in 2007, so that means I must have either been playing RuneScape or playing Spore instead. So yeah, point is, they don't matter.

I've never been big on birthday parties and I didn't do anything for my sweet sixteen. I don't like burdening people and that's generally how I feel around my birthday because it's usually RIGHT when school starts back up for a lot of people. So everyone is busy and trying to adjust to their schedules and honestly, quite a few people tend to forget it. The last couple of years my friends asked me to do something, which resulted in me having over a group of people for a movie, some food, and video games.

But yeah, I don't care if people buy me stuff on my birthday or demand that I do something, I just like people remembering, especially if they mean a lot to me :)

Honestly, I only like small get-togethers. While I was younger my parents used to throw parties and invite some people I didn't even know too well. Now that I am older, I only will invite people I know best. I just don't like big crowds of people anyways, it makes me feel uncomfortable myself. I really did nothing special on my sweet sixteen; I had spent my day watching MTV and then went out with my mom to Del Taco, lol! I never expect much myself, but a birthday wish always makes me feel great inside.

When it's your birthday, how do you celebrate?
Hanging out with my friends after they nag me to do something for my birthday

Do you have a big party or just a little get together?
I told people that I do not like big parties, so it's usually a little get together

Also, if you've had your sixteenth birthday, did you have a big celebration (if you haven't had your ~!*sweet sixteenth*!~, how would you ideally celebrate it)?
I never had one, my parents wanted to throw me one but its a waste of money and if I had one, it would be just me hanging out with my friends

For my birthday I just have a small party with my family. I don't have any friends, so that's about the extent of what I can do.

My sixteenth birthday is coming up really soon, but I still plan to just have an ordinary party with my family. Maybe, if possible I'll go out to eat with my aunt. We've discussed that. I hope we go somewhere fancy that I usually can't afford. xD

Birthdays always mean something to me, I always get amazing gifts and come to love them.

My 19th in October is one I will never forget cos that's when I got Pokemon Black!

lololol the last time I did anything for my birthday was when I turned 15 and it was only because my dad begged me to have a party because he wanted to have people over... oh and it sucked btw yayayaya

I prefer to do nothing just because it's always so awkward when people realize it's my birthday. They suddenly will get mad I didn't tell them or feel terrible and mention all these things we should do or try to make up for it by making me cards and filling it with "good times" and it's just like too much. If you know it's my birthday and you want to say something just say happy birthday and leave it and that. TRUST ME THAT'S SATISFYING ENOUGH.

When it's your birthday, how do you celebrate?
Grab a few of my best friends and just hang out somewhere.

Do you have a big party or just a little get together?
Little, I like both big and small parties but I am the lazy type so I'd be way to lazy to organize something.

Also, if you've had your sixteenth birthday, did you have a big celebration (if you haven't had your ~!*sweet sixteenth*!~, how would you ideally celebrate it)?]
I had my sixteenth almost a year ago a week from now, I just grabbed my five best friends and we went bowling, laser strike then went to my house.

I wasn't even aware that the concept of a sweet sixteen still existed. I thought it was something that rich white girls did in the 1950s and the terminology stuck with our language afterward for some reason, but I could be wrong. I know that some hispanic countries have a similar ceremony where they put a girl in a dress and hold a party to announce that she's old enough to make babies and be married off...always seemed slightly creepy to me.

I don't remember any of my birthdays. At all. I probably spent my 16th birthday going to school then playing Super Smash Bros Melee at home. I never had parties, just a cake and a couple of presents from the family. I kind of prefer it that way; I hate being the center of attention.

I don't like parties that much, but it would be great if I do. Only a family party, not friends. But on my sixth birthday, I didn't have a party...well, I did have an advanced birthday party.

I loved my tenth birthday party; I ate Shakey's chicken at my cousin's condo. Oh, and I think I ate ice cream lol.

Sweet sixteen is for girls. 'Nuff said.
