    Sword Art Online II

1 year after the SAO incident, Kirito is approached by Seijiro Kikuoka from Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Department "VR Division" with a rather peculiar request.

That was an investigation on the "Death Gun" incident that occurred in the gun and steel filled VRMMO called Gun Gale Online (GGO). "Players who are shot by a mysterious avatar with a jet black gun lose their lives even in the real world…" Failing to turn down Kikuoka's bizarre request, Kirito logs in to GGO even though he is not completely convinced that the virtual world could physically affect the real world.

This is certainly a different approach to all those sword fighting :P

Will Asuna be making a return to the series as well? I really liked the connection between Kirito and Asuna.

I can't wait for the season 2 tho, it's actually one of my favorite series up to date. I just love MMORPG games and making an entire series about an MMORPG is just amazing :D

Well, after coming out of the Phantom Bullet arc. I couldn't help but feel bored when I was reading Mother's Rosario. I actually liked the other female protagonist of the arc though, she is probably my second favourite character just below a certain blond-haired female sword user.

Ah, well different boats for different folks.

    Episode 1: 10% Romance, 20% Exposition, 1% Diabel-lite, 4% Traps, 30% Sinon, 15% Lightsabers, 5% Guns and 15% Absurdly spent animation budgets.

Opening was ok, but I still love Crossing Field more. LiSA is a great singer lol. Lots of good hints peppered through though.

As for the episode, they really went all out. Quite faithful to the source I think. I hope they continue this because I was somewhat disappointed with the last cour. ALO lost a lot of the subtlety :(

Maybe this is because I haven't any knowledge of the GGO arc, but I found this first episode really, really dull.

Nothing really happened, we saw very little development of Kirito/Asuna over the last year and the new, female character wasn't showcased as much as I feel she should have.

I also worry about the whole premise of
    Spoiler:

as it seems stupidly overpowered and unavoidable.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

It has started! It has started! SAO II!!!
    I'm so ♥♥♥♥ing happy i can fly~!

    *comes back all bruised*

Okay, i can't fly, but i'm just so hyped!!!!
We finally gonna see female Kirito hehe!!!

Gonna go watch the first episode now! :)

I hope romance doesn't ruin this season like it did last one. >_>

Seriously, if it was me I think this season should be action focused; last one was pretty romance after episode 7,8 or 9. Sure of course it can have romance, but juuuuuuust a little ;) I have high hopes for this :D

Wut? Romance is the best part on SAO... (anyone remember chapter 16.5? :DDDDDDDDD)

Just checked the first episode and... it was a good start.
Super Secret Video Game Agent Kirito strikes again and is ready to... use sword in gun-oriented game...

I should really start reading the Light Novel soon. I'm really interested in this arc ever since I found out about it. (Note: it's years before the announcement of the second season)

The opening tells a lot about that. I look forward to the gun... sword... battles. yeah.

Praying to the anime and manga gods that this new girl doesn't fall in love with Kirito, and that the producers don't make the same mistakes they did the last time such as bad pacing and more focus on Kirito's women than any action.

Why do you want to banish the best yuri pairing in the show? :D

This arc I'd only 2 volumes actually.

    Episode 2: 10% Setups, 20% Snipers, 10% Assault Rifles, 10% Energy Weapons, 20% Assault Miniguns, 30% Sinon. :D

They extended a few scenes in there just to let the other girls in hehe. :P

Anyways nice episode, I like it when it feels like it was too short rather than dragging overall. :)

Ah love how the ending is all about the best girl. :P

I was expecting a lot from the new Sword Art Online episodes, seeing as the previous ones were fantastic, but these have been disappointing in my eyes.

Wooo. Anime is doing some minor changes here and there, but they're fine. Episode 2 was nice, I was worried that they might cut Sinon's segment short, but I'm glad that she got a whole episode to her self basically. Also, I was surprised that ending was 100% all Sinon, haha.

    Stealing my format D:
