Syddy Claus' Challenge

No more poems I promise. Welcome, challenge regulars and non-regulars alike! In this thread, you will find the most generous challenge of all. You see, your normal Jingle Bells moderator, who is normally strict on these challenge events, isn't going to be a Grinch this year (disregarding the Grinch theme he might use later cough cough) and give you all some great news with this challenge! What changes might there be, you ask? Although there aren't too many, I'm sure they will make a big difference in your challenge experience. The changes for this event are as follows...

You will have from November 26, 2011 to January 5, 2012 to finish this challenge.

If you get at least five badges in the game you are playing, you will still receive the emblem.

Now of course, we have to keep with the Christmas theme on the Pokemon you use. Similar to the Halloween event, you will have certain criteria your team members must meet. However, unlike the Halloween event, there are many to choose from here. You must choose at least 4! What options do you have? Here they are:

- Red Pokemon (list here)
- Ice Type Pokemon
- Pokemon from an in-game trade
- Pokemon given to you in-game (starters count as gifts)
- Green Pokemon (list here)
- Pokemon hatched from an egg received in-game
- Shiny Pokemon (good luck if you try for this one!)

- The present you don't want (least favorite Pokemon)

Once you select your slots though, please do not change them, unless you have a legitimate reason to do so. (unable to get a certain Pokemon, etc.)

And now the standard list of rules...

1. This challenge is only for the following games: Red, Green, Silver, Ruby, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, Diamond, SoulSilver, and White.
2. Trading is allowed, as much as you want. Get the team you want to use!
3. Hacking a Pokemon in is allowed, emulator players only though.
4. Pokemon must always have a held item, if at all possible. Try wrapping them and seeing if your Pokemon can unwrap their gift.
5. Challenge is complete, for all games, after the first round of the E4. Five badges will still get you the emblem, despite not being a completed challenge.
6. Final updates must be posted no later than 11:59 PM Central Time (GMT -6) on January 5, 2012. You have more than enough time for this challenge, so hopefully there won't be last minute updates!

Since it's a valid option now, could I add a Stantler to my team? And could I replace my Pachirisu with a Togekiss? I apparently missed the held items rule and...well, it didn't really occur to me until just now that I'll have a much better electric type in Rotom.

Also, if we have to trade/hack, would you rather we wait until points in the game where it would make sense for the mons to appear?

Yeah, that's fine, especially since you brought it up. :) And you can if you want. I will probably do that, but that's just me. If you would rather trade/hack all your stuff in one fell swoop, be my guest.

Named my character F.T.A (short for Fallentheangel).
Named Rival "WarHead".
Chose Green the Bulbasaur.
Won against WarHead.
Got the potion from the PC(I forgot to get it for the billionth time).
Obtained the next potion from the PokéMart worker.
Grinding...
Green grew to level 6.
Green grew to level 7, and learned Leech Seed.
Delivered Oak's Parcel.
Went to the PokéMart and bought three Pokéballs.
Saved.
