[T] War Between Pokemon & Humans II - Severed Bonds [OOC]

I'm trying to think of ways to involve Aki further. I mean, he IS a long range specialist so he should stay out of the way but if I do that, then no one can really interact with him. I could move him closer in a dangerous spot and then give someone the opportunity to bash his tree down but Aki's not stupid enough to move that close.

HO HUM!!

Lol. xD Not sure how I can help you with that.

Sometimes you just have to make your character stupid for the hell of it xP Its more fun that way XD Especially since its against the rules to kill another RPer.

@Skymin Just lure them to your position, and jump out of the tree on them. That problem is why I don't use Japanese style sniping, S.W.A.T style actually lest you interact with people, and let's you fight in the heart of a city.

@Skymin This is actually a central problem with being a sniper. Most people don't understand that in order to be a sniper, it requires a lot of patience and waiting to get the single, right shot. This is sort of why I didn't want there to be a lot of snipers, so more people could be right in the middle of the battle...

@SD agreed. Well saidm SD. Spoken like a true GM! But seriously, Aura, consider revising...

Yep and that is why I was against snipers so much... Also this is why I made a melee character so I could interact better with enemies and friends. Things change up close and personal.

One idea is to ask the mods if you can revise your character and make him a more medium (standard rifle, laser/plasma rifle) to short range fighter (shotgun or melee weapon) or something. From what I read in your profile your history is flexible enough to allow you to change without needing to change it too much IMHO.

@Aura Rift... I'm going to back up SD and SV on this. Honestly a little supernatural appearance of Mandel might be acceptable (Mods would have to say ok to this) as long as he isn't turning Gilbert suddenly into a fighting machine. There is a limit before you start abusing deus ex machina, which IMHO you did in the last RP. It kind of cheapens things at times when suddenly some spiritual guide gives you strength/makes you a bad***.

@SweetDreams... where is Lilah? If she is in the back of the army the only humans in range are the ambushposers which is just the PCs mentioned before (Vikar, Jack, Mikkelson, and Elijah). The only other humans are holding the defensive positions...

Your welcome to attack Vikar if you want to fight someone, but I will make him fight back for a little bit...

@ALL POKEMON players: Ok I realize your posts have already made it seem different, but there are no humans wandering around in the open other than the small ambush team (or a random few that fell when the one or two trees were knocked down. These are NOT the undisciplined rookies from the last war. They are soldiers holding the line until ordered other wise. They are well fortified from either high up positions in the large trees of the city or entrenched in foxholes, trenches, or bunkers on the ground. They have set up overlapping fields of fire (which means more than one position can target you at a time allowing them to support each other). Short ranged soldiers will still be in the trenches ready to repel anyone who is lucky enough to get close and not torn apart by range weapon fire.

Also just because a steel type is tough doesn't make them invincible we were prepared to fight the tougher Pokemon and have plenty of armor piercing weapons that are effective at killing them. Anything from anti-tank rifles, missiles, high caliber rifles (like .50 calibers than can punch through light tank armor in RL), and all the new fancy toys like lasers and plasma Nocturnal gave us. Yes they are harder to kill but they are not going to last out in the open very long when they are large and stick out like a sore thumb.

I realize this makes things a little less fun... but charging across no mans land into a defensive position is NEVER going to be fun especially if you don't have a large force to do it with.

Lilah is, apparently, in your range. Charging at you at this very moment, actually. xD She was in the back of the army anyways so...

Of course I expect you to fight back. This is suppose to be a battle, isn't it? ;D

Also, I agree w/ the conditions up there^
Which is why I haven't had Lilah do much. :B

Also, ODST... f*ck you I appreciate the bullets, bro.

O ok I kind of misread your post :p

Well the only reason I posted that is that how the Pokemon were envisioning the humans fighting was not how they were suppose to be fighting, and it looked like two completely separate battles going on in the same place. One was the human character PoV and the other the Pokemon...

Vikar is taking on Alec and Lilah right now so I'll wait for Nazuami to post or we can try to work out a joint post over PMs, or YIM/AIM or something if you want Lilah and Vikar to go a little one on one for a bit.

I back up what Stingray has earlier said, although he needs to quit doing my job for me. Apparently he loves to be a GM. :P

I am regretting being unable to post...but I lack the time because of classes. I will post, however, on Thursday, or possibly Wednesday night. Try not to get too far ahead in the war without me. Good hunting!

Lol stingray, MY HUMBLEST APOLOGIES but I came in late so I had no clue of what the heck was going on nor I had any chance to catch up. I thought it was just a frontal attack in Fortree at first, but now that I think about it..

Also, you have way too many advantages againist the Pokemon. You even have bombs with extreme AoE damage -even nuclear bombs-, mind controlling machines (I'm sure you loved how you controlled the Groudon), bullets that kill instanly, what more could you ask, really? Steel types should remain our tanks, they also should remain impossible to kill for at least the 3 seconds Thanatos used that Aggron.

I think you should stop critizing that much, hm?

WOW LOL THIS IS SO FUN I LIKE KILLING POKEMON

btw, Nakuzami, loved that "A Spark of recognition" at the top ;D

Okay, so objectives in the next post -

1. Save Jack's @$$ from leaf cuts LOL
2. Save Mikkelson
3. Attack and get revenge
4. RETREAT

Tanks can be killed with a single anti-tank missile that can be carried by a single soldier (Javelin Missile). So effectively ya a steel time can be killed in seconds if not supported properly. Also I didn't counter and say the Aggron was killed early so you were able to do what you did then it died. You just made it sound almost unkillable, and the humans were not prepared to fight something like that.

Also I think the mind control, and nukes (and honestly its an equal opportunity weapon... kills both humans and pokemon within its region sized blast radius) are off the table completely unless some Mod needs it for a plot device.

Sorry I was complaining mostly because it appeared like the Pokemon players were ignoring the fact the humans were in a dug in defensive position and where taking control of human NPCs and acting like it was some open field fight, when in fact its a small pokemon army attacking a well fortified position. Basically it looks like some of the pokemon players are ignoring what the human defenders are actually doing and modifying it to their own desires.

@DeepImpact if you don't save him I will :p Yes I think its retreat time... our time is up... so finish your little skirmishes and RUN AWAY! like brave sir Robin would.

tl;dr..

Too much fuss for a Pokemon-based RP, get what I mean? You seem to be in the mood for arguing every single hour of the day (of the RP, in this case), no offense.

w/e, just a simple question for everyone, where exactly are we fightning, outside or inside Fortree? I've had some trouble thinking 'bout whether I should add houses in the scene.. lol

oh and something else, why are the Pokemon attacking? I thought the humans should've attacked first, since they were the ones who got their general killed.

I see now.

@Stingray thanks for your input I will take it to my mind and remember that for my next post. :D

I believe we are right outside Fortee.

As for the pokemon attacking first, I think it is because Mewtwo and his partners hypnotized the entire city, forcing the humans there to attack a nearby Pokemon town - Slateport.

(I copied and pasted that from the First OCC post BTW)

I don't really want to revise Aki since him being close range wouldn't match him much. He needs to have something to concentrate on and sniping is something that does so.

It's alright, I have an idea. Since he's a dumb private and thinks this is kind of like a video game, i'm gonna see if i can get him to... move closer. when i post later, you'll see what i mean. and it might get some action from some fellow humans (i guess anyone thats not part of crow) and probably some pokemon hahaha.

Permission for a Bio-intestine? Yea, I kinda need one for my character to live...

Ok, Imma start my SU. BTW, why'd you guys post so much this weekend? I came back from my race (which I was racing in), this race which I held the Top 5 nearly the whole race until my S***ty worn out tires F***ed me over when I was coming around turn three, which slammed me into the fence, so S***ty day so far. Then I come back here and there is a bazillion posts on this thread. [end rant]

Pokemon:
[PokeCommunity.com] [T] War Between Pokemon & Humans II - Severed Bonds [OOC]

Personality:
Raymond is ruthless and mostly hurtful to others. His negative attitude and arrogant power-hunger have turned him relatively insane. Raymond doesn't concern himself with the feelings of others, containing his beliefs in that he is the only one to be cared about. Raymond is dillusional in his thought processes, giving him a believed self-entitlement as the ruler of the world. His beliefs are often far from the truth, Raymond not really holding much power amongst the League of Legendaries. Raymond is self-centered and greedy, often going out of his way to provide to his lust of power. However, Raymond is more tactical and cunning than that. Raymond is a expert at hiding his thoughts and wishes from the other Legendaries, they believing that Raymond has good, self-less intentions. As described previously, that is far from the case. Raymond is a psychotical warmonger, having a palate towards violence and destruction.

History:
Raymond has lived his long life in secrecy, spending most of it at the Sky Pillar in Hoenn or roaming around the world. Whenever he could, Raymond would take opprotunites to wreak havoc and destruction, among other things like fear, anger and so on. Raymond watched intently during the Sinnoh war as the Humans and Pokemon destroyed each other, leaving the Sinnoh region in a nuclear fallout. Raymond retreated back to his native Hoenn region after the war, and once again he watched as frictions between Humans and Pokemon increased. At this point, Raymond was apart of the League of Legendaries. When Cebreus the Mewtwo offered a proposition to Raymond that involved murdering all of the Humans and Pokemon, Raymond jumped on the chance and has began working on a plan to overthrow both the League of Legendaries and Cebreus.

Moveset:

For Rayquaza:
Outrage-Ancient Power
Extremespeed-Thunder

For Metagross:
Meteor Mash-Ice Punch
Zen Headbutt-Earthquake

Password: Revolution

Others: He likes to eat bird Pokemon, capturing them and slowly devouring them. Raymond will only devour bird Pokemon in his Legend form.

Did this LOL ever get accepted/denied? Just thought I'd ask.

Later on, I'm gonna request one of those mechanical augmented arms (Didn't get the idea from Sray, planned some... happenings for my character out of boredom over the summer.)

Anyways, is there anywhere specific were going to meet when the crow operatives retreat?
