I went to Comic-Con this year (Amazing, I know.) Looking around, I was stumbled upon this trailer playing. I realized it was Tales of the Abyss, but not for the PS2, no, for the 3DS. The first glance at that made me drop to the floor and moved myself in the fettle position, crying for joy. Finally sending a "Tales of" game to the US in a very long time. To make it better, remaking my favorite game of all time. ^-^ (One of my favorites...)

    Description
Luke Fon Fabre, the young son of Duke Fabre of the Kimlasca Kingdom is the Light of the Sacred Flame, the scion of Lorelei's power, destined to bring prosperity to Kimlasca. Since being kidnapped seven years ago by the Malkuth Empire, he has been kept confined to the Fabre family mansion. The shock of the kidnapping has erased all of Luke's memories prior to the event. One fateful day, a mysterious woman breaks into the mansion and sets off a chain of events that drag Luke into the center of a massive conflict between those who would do anything to see the Score carried out, and those who would see it broken forever.

    Features
Reworking the graphics on the game. Compared to the PS2 version, you are able to switch from 2D from the 3D gameplay. A new feature that has been added is the new special 3D animations for Mystic Artes. Making you feel like wizard. 8D

3DS players can look forward to a few new features outside of the support for 3D visuals which are said to give more impact to event and battle scenes. You'll be able to register skills on the bottom screen for quick access during battle. During field exploration, the game shows the world map on the bottom screen.

Another thing that is new to the game is the new and improved artes you gain. So the artes like Luke's Fang Blade has been reworked and others gaining completely new artes. ;D

I just want to see your thoughts on the game?

I heard about quite a while ago. Personally, I think it's EPIC! Tales of the Abyss freaking portable and 3D! I already have the money saved for it! I can't freaking wait! Also, it's nice to see another Jade fan. ^_^

Jade is the sexiest being alive. xD I can't believe the graphics that Nintendo have been working on has been competing with Microsoft and Sony right now. I think the portable is perfect. If it sells big here, they might port other Tales games here. (Either way, I'm getting those games, English or Japanese, I can read both.)

Oh yeah, if sexual preference was a choice, I'd be gay for Jade XD. I REALLY hope they release more Tales games on the 3DS, like Symphonia.

I wished they remake Tales of Vs. for the 3DS. It was a PSP game and it was all the Tales Characters in a SSB combat system. That's what I want to see made onto the 3DS.

You know, I've never tried Tales of VS. Unlike you, I don't have the Godly power of reading Japanese. Is the gameplay worth it? I might try it. Is it really similar to SSB?

*Shudder* The voice acting in some parts of that video makes me want to curl up into a ball and die. Haha.

This is interesting, it might be enough for me to keep hold of my 3DS and wait for this, since it would be something I am interested in...

They kept the voice actors right? I didn't notice any changes.

Let's face it, anything game that comes from Japan will always have corny English Translations. x] The only thing I like from voice acting is Jade's Voice and he says "Why you so serious?" Just like the Joker in Barman. xD I say keep the 3DS for now, they are also remaking Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the 3DS. (Another of my favorite games. xD)

Far as the gameplay of Tales of Vs. It's freaken amazah! It's just like SSB, exactly. Only you don't fall off the stage, when you loose all your health, you die.

I'll be sure either way? It's an anime convention. So small or not, I'd get some opinions about it. I'm sure it's just another small wanna be a good as a KH game. Not even as much, it's not a bad game but come back. I'm positive you've give the staff somethin to offer.

I see no reason in buying this unless you're an Abyss fanatic (which I'm not) or have yet to play the PS2 version. Seeing as this is just a straight port and not a remake, pretty much nothing new was added as far as content goes. :/

From what I have looked into, the game has alot more places to go to, re-worked the battle system a little, and more scenes to read. That's all I found out as of now. My friend currently has the Japanese Version so hes going to give me some info about the game soon. o.o

It's pretty much a straight port of the PS2 version, with very little added content - it runs better, and there are a few reworked 3D graphics and artes from what I've heard. Other than that, I don't think there's supposed to be any added dungeons or anything, so I doubt I buy it since I already own the PS2 version.

For those of you who haven't played it though, Abyss is the best Tales game, in my opinion at least, so you owe it to yourself to play it.

True that, ToA is the best Tales Game there is. I got intel that there are a few new places added to the world, new artes and skills you can perform.

I KNEW it wasn't a direct port! It's already released in Japan, so there must be something online that shows the differences.

EXCITED AS ALL HELL. I mainly wanted a 3DS for this and for OoT. Now Guy can be portable. :'D ...I mean. Tales of the Abyss can be portable...but Guy...yesssssss.
