Tales of the Abyss Remake for the 3DS

Since I don't have 3D, I want to get the PS2 version. Since i own the PS2.
Not to bash, but I like Tales of Graces more, no matter what since it is my first Tales game. But I want to get TotA for PS2 tho.
 
I'll get it eventually when I get a 3DS if only to encourage them to localize more Tales games but... I'm really disappointed there was nothing extra added. If they'd voiced skits, I would be ecstatic and I would literally run out and buy a 3DS right now for it but... they aren't voicing them. There's no change I'm interested in except increased framerate outside of cities/dungeons and lesser loading times and those aren't enough to sell me on it, sadly. I am still toying with the idea of buying a Japanese 3DS and importing the game though. I've played it so much in English that it doesn't matter what language I play it in and nnnng I want voiced skits so bad.

If anyone hasn't played Abyss, though, pick up this port because you won't regret it. It's an excellent, excellent game.

I would be all over a Tales of VS remake with lesser loading times though. :B I played that game this summer and loved it so, so much, haha. Jade & Anise! ♥

@Conan: >:| You can't judge a game and say it's better if you haven't played the other game. Get Abyss, then make your judgment. (Hence why I can't say that Abyss is absolutely better since I haven't played Graces!)

haha Lightning. I based my favorites on my first. I'm sure Abyss has a better story, but Graces will always be my first tales game, Im not saying its better. It can be better in my opinion. and Im looking up to buy abyss actually right now. Just trying to make a decision. Cause im saving up to buy Xillia. But if I get Abyss now, idk if I can get xillia. But I'm sure i can get both tho. :3
 
You're weird. :( My favourites are the ones I enjoyed the most. I certainly love Symphonia (my first Tales game) but Abyss eclipsed it in almost every way... and I love the characters from it to pieces and they're the main reasons I play any of the Tales spin-off games, haha. n_n I say get Abyss before Xillia.

Yus I'm wierd. I enjoy Graces alot tho too. Well Xillia doesnt release for another month. I'll probably think about it. Since I do have it in mind to get Abyss. I seen like half the anime, and I do like it. So I'll put it in consideration to get it this month :3 (probably have to buy a used copy or a new copy since people selling them for like 30 bucks (For new or used) seen it for like 119 dollars D:<
 
The only thing I ask with the game is make it more difficult. Making Unknown difficulty 4 times harder (that's what she said. xD) instead of 3.5 times. One of my runs recently, I was able to defeat Van in about 30 seconds. About the anime, I watched that when it was first released in Japan, that anime had so much going on at once, just like the game. I think they did that beautifully. The game and anime was very close together. Another thing I found out was they made an Manga thats going to be released this month. One series about Asch and the other, Jade. (Sexiest beast alive. ^-^)
 
Harder Unknown version would be fun, but I think it's difficult enough as it is. I still can't defeat Unknown Nebilim when we're all level 200!

Is the new manga canon?
 
I've played Symphony and Vesperia. I never had a PS2, but I've heard a lot about this game (and others I've missed out on) from friends. So, I'm looking forward to it. Will be a new experience for me. And in 3D.
 
Yes, the Manga is Canon, the one about Asch is what he did after he was kidnapped and the one about Jade is how he got into the military. o.o

You missed out man, ToA is the best one out there. ;D Except, it has the corniest voice actors out of all the games.

I noticed in all spin-offs, Jade's Mystic Arte is always Mystic Cage. Where's the Indignation love?
 
Every characters always (I believe) just uses their default. I imagine with Jade it's mostly because in some games, Indignation is just a high level arte, not a mystic arte. :(
 
I've seen the entire Tales of the Abyss anime with English subtitles. It is the best, longest, and amazing Tales anime of the ones I've seen.

It's not the longest Anime. (That's what she said. xD) Did you watched the Abyssal Chronicles subbed. If so, I was one of the people on translation team.

Well, Indignation is used by every "Wizard" Role character in each Tales Game and it's the most used Arte so it's the most loved one. <3

Indignation is considered a Mystic Arte in Tales of the Abyss. ;D So suck it other tales games. (>_> ToV is "more popular" because of the main character's name... DAMN YOU YURI ~Indignation~ Oh... hes dead.... WIN!)

Just a random thought, when ever I catch a Pikachu, I shall nick name it Indignation. xD When ever it uses Thunder, I will scream on the top of my lungs. INDIGNATION! I massacre the pokemon's face.

I watched the Abyss Chronicles subbed version. I havent finished it, But I will I kind of want to finish the story through the game THEN watch the anime now. I stopped at like episode 13? I dont remember. xD

About ToV, idk if that is the only reason why it is popular. But I ALWAYS mix up Yuri Lowenthal (Luke's Voice Actor lol) with ToV's Main character Yuri Lowell LOL. Funny if Yuri voices Yuri But Troy Baker does his voice, which I like him he voices in some of my favorite games xD
