Actually Don, at first (I'm talking 2007) you had to add some banter because there was a rule forcing you to write at least 4 words per post or else you could get infracted. I myself gave a bunch of infractions to people who only wrote the number back in my day. It was pretty silly. So it's not that it was a tradition, is that you were forced to as per the rules.

But what could you expect when it was this dork who originally wrote these rules.

So wait random banter has been permitted since the beginning? I thought it had to be a number-related comment at a certain point in the past, as the 4 word rule removal was pretty recent.

I wasn't exactly in this section much before 2009, though.

To the point that when Fi (Franceschi, the mod who succeeded me) tried to open a DCC, I objected on the grounds that we already had TCTI... and I pulled rank and closed her DCC and stickied this one instead :x Because, for all intents and purposes, it had been the board's DCC since its beginning.
 
The feels hit hard on me when looking at old TCTI threads.

I wonder how Fi is doing, she has been vanished for years now :< Hell I miss all them old folks.

I haven't added anyone from PC on Facebook (I don't think I've ever even found someone in the first place). Not because I wouldn't like to, but there are things I don't want and can't be bothered to explain to stalking family members.
