Ok honestly unless your 8-10 none of the villian teams were that evil for these reasons 1. there plans are short sighted( rocket= wanna steal all pokemon and use them for evil, what evil? and they werent even close to completing there goal. Magma/Aqua= f@&king up the planets water land ratio, yea cant see any bad from that lol. Galatic= didnt know what there insane boss was doing. 2. they all got defeated by a kid. To be honest Tram plasma seems to be the 2nd best Team Rocket being the 1st because it first.
Next gen should have two villans one for each version ones a crazy clown that just wants caos, and the other some costume vigilantie......why so serious LOL

I'm not saying that PETA's ideals are evil. No organization's ideology per se can be evil. I think a righteous ideology mixed with militant activism is a dangerous combination. Imposing one's ideologies on others produces evil in one form or another. I much prefer the SPCA's way of doing things.

And yes, the point of my post was to point out that Team Plasma has as much relevance or even more so, given how it mirrors RL organizations.

I agree with you. I'm sad that PETA has created a bad rep by being so militant. I wish that it would go about things the way the SPCA did things. Well, hopefully things will change for them.

Meanwhile, I can't wait to play Pokemon Black in English, so I can fully understand the plotline with Team Plasma! I'm so curious.

lol @ comparing Plasma as PETA.
As long as the posts relate to Plasma, discussing PETA is fine, just before anyone wanders in and gets confused.

Not knowing that much about Plasma makes it hard to make judgements, but from what I've heard, they seem far more interesting than the other evil teams.

The costume is an epic fail.
Since when does modern medieval look evil?

Well Magma/Aqua were bad because they were going to destoy people's habitats in their goal to create habitats for Pokemon.
Cyrus was going to have everyone and everything killed due to his plan...but they just didn't say out right that that was going to happen as that would have upset the kiddies...

Team Plasma is a joke. Most irrelevant team ever as far as I'm concerned. :>

I disagree it doesn't make the games decent, though. The games are pretty good, it's just the supposedly "evil" aspect of it that's a joke, imo. XD

It's like PETA or Scientology (don't anyone dare to even come at me for this; anything with "scientology" as its name is downright delusional, and anyone who pretends otherwise needs help), or something. Most irrelevant piece of **** ever.

And maybe it's because I can't read JP and stuff, but I don't see how that little spoiler changes anything. N is a fool, Geechisu is a fool, and everything about Plasma is roll-on-the-floor laughter-inducing. At least Cyrus was batshit insane, Archie and Maxie had a whole rivalry slashfest going on, and Giovanni is downright evil.

But Team Plasma? lolo, most idiotic goal ever, the whole religiosity thing is off-putting, their costumes are ridic, and both N and Geechisu are usually the butt of my Jaroda's jokes. XD

My sentiments exactly. Well played, good sir.

A team that's truly evil in it's intentions and hellbent towards achieving them is something we haven't seen since Team Cipher and Team Snagem and I'll gladly welcome into the Pokemon franchise.

As would I. However, these aren't merely a group of sinister criminals; they're cultists. And there's nothing I'm more sick and tired of in the Pokemon franchise than these "serious-business" delusional cult weirdos with awful, overdone costumes that make the whole premise all the more ridiculous. At least the Rockets weren't over the top in terms of their wardrobe or their aims; they wore black jumpsuits and wanted to use Pokemon to make money. These freaks dress like they're at a cosplay convention and intend to impose their way of living upon the rest of the world. Their delusional zealotry takes the fun out of it all IMO.

BRING BACK TEAM ROCKET

Team Rocket had their time to shine, especially since we were able to see them again in the Gold/Silver remakes. Since this is a new generation, Team Rocket being the evil crew would be a little too eccentric. Sure Cynthia makes an appearance, but she's just one character and not a main part of the storyline.

I think what I like most about battling Team Plasma is the beginning where the logo is shown striking; the blue glow behind the 'P' is a nice effect. I have yet to see how challenging Team Plasma gets for me, but I like their character designs overall. Before I didn't mind the costumes too much, but they're suitable enough to call it a medieval evil team.

I like all the "cultist" groups though Team Magma and Team Aqua can be considered more as Ecoterrorist-cults with the only one I don't beleive the over rated team rocket...we had to battle them 4 gens in a row...give them a break for now GF :)
Team Plasma might even have had exceeded my expectations...

Team Rocket are getting redeemed in Best Wishes anyway, they don't need to be included for the 5th time in Pokemon gaming history. >:

As for Team Plasma, their cause is really ridiculous. "Pokemon need freedom, but I'm gonna fight you with my equally captured Pokemon to make you free yours!"

That.. makes no sense. As for them as a whole? I don't hate nor like them yet. I do however like N and Geechisu's story a lot. I hope I spelled that right... N is the first truly smart villain, and his father is bad in a good way. Their story is actually really dark, and it makes me enjoy Pokemon even more. I've noticed that Pokemon has gotten pretty dark lately, even in Best Wishes.. like episode 4 with that poor Pokabu. >_<;

I'm lovin' it. <3

Huh, well how would him having Rashiram and Zekrom help his plan for everyone to liberate their pokemon...unless he planned on threatening people with Rashi-Zek...then he would have to go on to the other regions...

N wants Zekrom and Reshiram to make the world "Black and White", separating humans and Pokemon.

I know but in a way how would his plan have worked, would he have used them like Pain wanted to use the demons for peace (sorry if this doesn't make sense for non Naruto fans) as they aren't like Kyogre, Groudon, or Dialga and Palkia who can make it rain, dry, bend time or bend space for the ideals of the bad guys.

MRAS: I understand, and I was kind of thinking thinking the same thing, but if not, then I honestly don't get how N would use Zekrom/Reshiram to separate pokemon and humans, unless he threatened to use the legendaries to kill them, I don't see how it would work, but then again, there is probably some sort of explanation.

Honestly, Team Plasma is an awesome team, from what I learned about them. It's about time to have a corrupt PETA-like organization.

Spoiler:

Team Plasma is a very unique team, for the fact that they're technically doing something good but it's still bad and that the leader is not a wrinkly old guy like Cyrus a kid.

not true Team Magma and Team Aqua also thought they were doing something good for the betterment of pokemon...actually the only one's who feel resentment for what they have done were Maxie, Archie and N, Geovanni and Cyrus who were both doing bad things on purpose didn't really show resentment for their actions.

Wow, been awhile since I've been here.

Rocket: Wants to steal pokemon, why? To make money. They sell pokemon in game, did you know that? Rocket Game Corner isn't named that just because it's a cool name, Team Rocket owned that place. Casinos make money, so that in itself makes them money. The pokemon that you get from earning/buying coins, yeah, they are from TR's care.

True, but the making money part was mainly Giovanni's mother's agenda when she was in-command.

When Giovanni inherited it, he focused the syndicate on making money AND ruling the world.

Rocket (Gen II): They're doing the same things, mutilating pokemon to obtain profit. Think about it, they were selling Slowpoketails for 1,000,000 yen, that's a lot of money, you know. They evolved Magikarp into Gyarados, as a precursor to both getting their boss, who is indeed one of the most powerful trainers in the world, back, as well as making their pokemon even stronger. These Rockets, however, didn't want money, they wanted control over people more.

Eh...not really. All they wanted was to bring Giovanni back THEN focus on the things you've said.

Magma: They are insane eco-terrorists who want to dry up the planet and leave it with hardly, if any, water, and try to awaken an ancient GOD to do it. Not to mention they try to BLOW UP A VOLCANO... TWICE! That would have KILLED people in Fallarbor and Lavaridge Town. Not to mention poisoning the air in Verdanturf.

You sure you wanna see Groudon as a "god"? He didn't really have any deity-like prowess like Giratina, Dialga or Palkia or Arceus. And its not really that they tried to "blow up" Mt. Ember, they were just trying to awaken Groudon who was inside at the time.

Aqua: They are insane eco-terrorists who want to DROWN the planet, and make it so that there is little to no land left. They aren't as bad as Magma, as they don't want to blow up a volcano (Emerald only), but they still want to drown the world. That would kill everyone as well, for there wouldn't be anywhere to live, and most everyone would die, unless their city is built to live floating.

Wow...sorry but your sort-of making them more evil than they were...

They weren't trying to "drown" the the planet. They were just trying to expand the water masses to "make more aqua habitats for aquatic Pokemon by awakening and manipulating Kyogre.

Galactic: A CULT who wants to rule everything, at least that's what's told to the grunts. Cyrus KNOWS that if everyone were to learn of his goal, that he would get no support, which is WHY they don't ever find out. Their goal was to kill everyone except them, pretty much, so even the grunts are nuts.

I....guess a cult can work. But they didn't wanna rule anything....in this world anyway. But yea the whole syndicate was concocted by Cyrus with a twisted dream of manipulating both Dialga and Palkia to "create a new world" where there is " no conflict or strife of any kind" since he believed "Spirit" was the enemy. And yea, Cyrus was using all of them, including Saturn, Mars, Jupiter, and Charon. Sadly only, Saturn was mature enough to walk away and not overreact to Cyrus's disappearance.

Anyway, the outfits of Plasma are..weird to say the least. Plus the objective of Plasma....to be hones, I saw this coming. No lie. But that's what doesn't make sense to me. Everyone seems to be comparing them to the PETA but corrupt. I guess but it just doesn't make sense to me.
