Ashley heard Joey say "Let's go get something together." Ashlley turned back, and saw Joey telling the other guy something. "Okay, that would be great." Ashley said with a big smile. She walked with him to the Lunch room. Ashley started to blush a little bit, but just barely. "Maybe he likes me the same way I like him." Ashley thought to herself hoping the answer was a yes. She grabbed a salad and a sandwich with a soda from the Lunch room and sat down. She grabbed a fork using her Telekinesis. She liked to use it, because that way she didn't have to get up for everything, or if she was busy she could just gra something quick. She wasn't lazy, she just thought it was fun. Ashley began to eat with Joey.

Draco Drift
Classroom

Draco sighed as his skinny fingers flipped the page of the book he was reading. His gloves made a scratching sound when they touched the page. He analysed every word one by one, keeping them in mind. Lunch was almost finishd, which meant it would, once again, be time for Draco's class. The various new students to the College had new powers, some of which were impressive, some of which were annoying. Draco had seen a girl suddenly disappear earlier, while walking through the corridor, he hoped this young woman had a conscience, otherwise she'd be a huge pain in the *** for Draco.

Either way, Draco figured this was going to be a tough year. He didn't know why, and it was not one of his powers, but he had a feeling that this year would be different from the others. For the first time in his life, Draco thought he might have a crush of his own. Through his writing career, he'd never been interested in love, but now at the college, it intrigued him.

Her name was Bethany Rose Williams, the principal and substitute teacher for just about everything. Draco had never had the courage to go up and talk to her, but she seemed like a very nice person. Much nicer than him, anyway. Just about everyone Draco knew was actually nicer than him. He'd been seeing her everywhere, and he wondered if a) He was seeing things, b) her superpower was illusion or c) that she really did attend all classes besides English. He'd often tried to get more teachers to apply for the classes, but nobody cared. Probably because it was hard to find people with superpowers that were above the age of 18. Really annoying.

Either way, lunch would be finished soon. Draco put away his book and waited for the students to come rushing in.

Joey was elated when she said yes. This would be perfect. He walked with her to the lunchroom and grabbed a piece of pizza that looked like it was a few days old and had been reheated. Joey didn't really care, though and he grabbed a soda. He sat down and suddenly found himself unsure of what to say. So... He decided to let her do a little talking. He took a big bite of the pizza and after chewing and swallowing, he turned to her.
"So... tell me a little bit about your self. Like, where are you from?" Joey said, hoping to find out a little more about her. He realized then that he didn't even know her last name yet. And why the heck was he so nervous? He'd never had this problem before!

"I'm from Tennessee, actually." Ashley replied to Joey. Ashley took a bite of her salad and continued the conversation. "Where are you from?" Ashley asked Joey. She was nervous because if she messed up, he might think Ashley was weird and that would ruin everything. Ashley was kinda surprised. They didn't know each other all that much and yet they were having a lunch alone with each other. Ashley liked him though. He was nice, charming, cool, and he had the best super powers. But if he had super powers or not didn't matter to Ashley. If he didn't, she would like him anyway for his personailty. Ashley waited for the conversation to go on.

Joey was glad that the two of them were talking. But she seemed to be as nervous as he was. Did that mean she liked him too?
"Tennessee? I've never been there, but I hear it's really nice. As for me, I'm from around here, actually. Anyways, what do you like to do when you aren't in a class? I don't really know very many people at this school yet, but I'd like to get to know you a little better," Joey said. Real smooth, Joeseph. That last line has never worked before. You're just going to make her mad now! Joey pushed that thought out of his mind. He didn't want to think like that. Something told him she was different.

When Ashley heard him say "I'd like to get to know you better", she knew her chances were increased of him liking her the same way Ashley likes him. "Well, I like to hang out with friends, and I like to use my power." Ashley said to Joey. Joey was the only one who knew about her power. But that would change after the Power Control class. "What do you like doing the best?" Ashley asked Joey. Ashley sneaked a peak at her watch. Almost time for English, but she wasn't taking that class, so she didn't have to worry about leaving for another hour. And in another hour was a class she asumed she would like, since she likes her powers. Ashley listened to what Joey had to say.

Joey smiled when she talked about hanging out with friends. She didn't seem quite as nervous now. Maybe he had said the right thing after all. He looked at his own watch. A little over an hour until his next class.
"Heh, I love hanging out with my friends. And I just got this power, so I don't really know how to use it yet, but that's what I'm here for, I guess. Anyways, I'm really into playing sports, baseball especially. But I don't know if they have any teams here. But I'll find out later. Right now I'm more interested if there is anything really cool for a couple of people to do around this school," Joey said, wondering if she'd pick up the hint he had dropped. She probably would. He wasn't exactly that subtle.

Ashley replied to Joey daying "What did you have in mind?" She got a little of what he was saying. Maybe he was talking about a couple. Like them. Ashley couldn't be sure though. If she said something weird then, well, you know. It might not go as well as Ashley wanted it to with the both of them. Ashley heard her cell phone ring. Her ring tone was a country song. Even though she didn't have a country accent, she was. She liked it. She said "Excuse me." to Joey and got up and walked over to a place where she could hear. "Hello?" Ashley replied. "Dad! I've missed you." "Yeah... Cool! A present? Your giving me one? Thanks so much, Dad. Love you. Bye!" Ashley hung up her phone and went and sat back over with Joey. "It was my dad." Ashley told Joey. "So... what did you have in mind?"

Joey sighed. Either she hadn't gotten it, or she was a bit shy to go along with him on this. Which could mean one of two things. She didn't like him, which he doubted was the case. Or she was a nervous as he was. Time to find out. He waited until she got off the phone before speaking.
"I was thinking maybe we could go catch a movie later. Would that be ok?" Joey asked with a good natured smile on his face. What was the worst that could happen, she say no? He could live with that. But he hoped she'd say yes.

(OOC: No problem. Joey kinda would have moved on anyway once Ashley showed up.)

Super Power:

Noise – he has the ability to manipulate sound waves. He is capable of completely blocking out sound waves (for example: a person trying to speak with him), and focus on only one, he can hear two people whispering from a mile away. He himself doesn't really know the full extent of his powers. Imagination seems to be the limit. He can propel himself into the air and soften his fall with a simple scream.​

Appearence:

Ulric is a tanned, 6'3 seventeen year-old that weighs about 145Ibs. He has long, natural, spikey dark brown hair that ends at his shoulder pointing downward, with bangs formed by the big black headphones with a dark blue cushion and lining on the plastic. His eyes are also dark brown, matching his hair. He wears a blue stylish scarf around his neck and a black sleeveless shirt; revealing his tan athletic arms. He also wears dark blue (almost black) baggy jeans with silver chains hanging from the right side of his back and side pockets. Finally he wears black checkered air walks. On his right hand he has dark blue gloves with black seams and exposed fingers with stitching sticking out of the ends.​

Personality:

Ulric is a level headed guy, socialist and open-minded. He doesn't talk much, although he's always fading from the group, he hates to be alone. He believes one of the worst things in life is to experience loneliness and not have the ability, or perhaps freedom of expressing themselves. He spends a lot of time in his head; you could say he's an introvert. Even though he's usually quiet; or one worded, you can get a conversation out of him if you play your words right. He seems to express himself better to animals and women, although he feels like he slightly hates them –or perhaps he's just mad at himself. He's the type of guy that will never give up, even if he's lost his four limbs; until his heart stops beating, he will continue to struggle.

History:

Ulric Carnegie was born in a small island near the Bahamas, enough to be part of it –or was. He was a normal boy and grew to be quite healthy. He didn't cause much trouble, except once when he disappeared all of a sudden. Everyone was worried sick and looked everywhere for him. A few days later they found him out cold in a tree near the shore. They interrogated him after he woke, but he didn't remember anything from the time he disappeared until his waking moment. It was all a gap in his memory.

From then on everything seemed to be going normally until one day he just burst with anger; exploded -literally. His screams were so intense they shook the whole island, broke it into a puzzle and made it vanish with boom. The island was no more, and his family, friends, and loved ones either. His unconscious body drifted to the shores of another Bahamian Island and he was taken in by an old man. Soon learning of the kid's abilities, he decided to help him tame it –not an easy task. The child was raised as a son. Years later, he graduated from high school, after moving to Florida with the old man. He was still learning about his powers, but he had more control over his feelings, a bit too much; with that said, you can't really predict the human heart.

Finally the old man decided it was time for Ulric to pursue his powers and explore it to its deepest level, by sending him to a school in Texas called, TH University. His life was about to change, again.

"Why are you so quiet?"

"I have nothing to say…"
Awakened by the afternoon rays; the young boy opens his brown eyes, they blurred for a second as he slowly regained his vision. For a moment he felt confused as he sat up straight in his bed and observed the room. "That's right… I'm home." He turned to face the ceiling, his back resting on his comfortable old bed. The pokeball shaped digital timer on his right night stand, "4PM… I did it again…"

"Damnit Nam, go to sleeeeep!" the restless boy mumbled in his sheets. The air conditioner was as cold as can be, but he liked it that way. It was his mind; it didn't let him rest in peace. He kept remembering Livvy, the memories were happy, but at the same time it reawakened the sad inner feelings he never expressed. After a few thoughts of her, his head twisted the memories and fused them with an anime he had seen on T.V. recently, he was the hero –naturally. Next he filled the room with laughter, rolling around the bed by some silly moments they had together.

Nam smiled and lowered his face into his hands, partially concealing his face. "Why am I so weird…" He stared at his phone; it had a picture of Livvy as background. Most would think they were practically going out, but that wasn't possible when they understand the situation. Nam cursed at her picture and deleted it. His gaze returns to the ceiling, and then shifted to the blue sky, clouds drifting away wherever the wind takes them. He should probably be standing off his bed and preparing for his day, but he was pondering on what he should do. He could practice the drums, go for an afternoon jog, visit Amity Park or the Pokemon Gym; it's been a while since he's seen Fantina. Or perhaps he could train his pokemon, he only needed one more gym badge and he could participate in the Pokemon League.

Still unsure of his future activities, Nam got off his bed and the rest was 'morning' routine: brush teeth, take a bath, get dressed, etc. All the while he was still thinking about what he should do; he had plenty of free time. He found himself orbiting the kitchen table and wondered what he was doing. Lucky him, nobody was around to see it.

"Naaaamiii~!" a little whiny voice called out to him from behind. It was his little brother, 9 year-old Lukas.
"What is it…"
"I'm trying to beat this Gym leader, but it seems I got a weak pokemon…" he pouted and flashed the DS console system in Nam's face. He couldn't really say why, but for some reason his little brother always seemed to push his buttons; and as if it wasn't bad enough, he was fighting the Oreburgh Gym leader, Roark, in HIS game, the one where he only needed one more badge; all gone, just by the click of a button. Although Nam's face expressed indifference, inside he was infuriated. He was mentally strangling his little brother, he began to think of all the ways possible for him to assassinate Lukas. "You chose Tepig… either evolve him and teach it a fighting move, or go catch a Psyduck in route 203; the cave that connects Jubilife and Oreburgh. You can also find a Machop in route 207…"

"Wow, that's too much work…" Lukas turned off the handheld and laid it down on the table. "I'ma go play outside, bye!"
Nam was now angrier still; his little brother erased his game file and now refuses to play it. He wrenched his feelings away and tried to occupy himself with something, but before he went up the first tile, the doorbell rang; it made the generic sound of a Starly. He receded from going back upstairs and immediately opened the door.

"Bro-kun!" a young maiden rushed into Nam's arms in embrace; everyone knew he was trying to learn Japanese.
"L-Livvy…!" he said in surprised, his voice calm and indifferent, yet he smiled and returned her hugs.
"I missed you…" she whispered in his ears.
"I missed you too…"
The two stood there feeling the warmth of each other's bodies, as if reassuring themselves that they were in fact, real. Finally they receded and Nam lost himself in her blue eyes, he loved the way her brown hair was long and just a little past her shoulder. He'd sometimes imagine it dancing in the wind, but he's only seen that in anime. She was wearing a white undershirt that said, 'Pokemon 4ever' in yellow, bold letters, and a pink open sweater with their old school logo in the right; an open pokeball which appeared as if a book was coming out of it, instead of a pokemon.

Just as they were about to engage conversation, "Livvy!" it was Bas Lambert, Livvy's boyfriend since 6 years ago. There was no way Nam could ever compete with a guy like him, "6 years…" he thought to himself. Livvy had introduced Bas to Nam a long time ago, hoping they'd become friends; and that they did. Although, more in Bas' head than in Nam's. As soon as they became 'friends' Nam felt trapped, he was captured and silenced forever. Since then he's been trying to get over Livvy, but she always makes him feel lovey dovey whenever they meet.

"I have to go," she said; Bas still calling for her in the background. Nam snapped back into reality and noticed she was leaving. "Haha, you're still so quiet as usual!" She said.

"It was nice seeing you again, maybe we can hangout now that you're back!" she smiled and walked away; and as she did, he began to feel lonely once more, just like that. It was this feeling that made him both love and despise Livvy at the same time; but it wasn't her fault, she doesn't know, about Nam's true feelings. From afar he watched as the love of his life jumped into another guy's arms and as their lips connected his eyes began to water. He reluctantly closed the door slowly; wanting to slam it shut, but he wasn't a fool, he thought to himself.

He went upstairs and opened a black foam door, revealing the insides of his 'drum room'. It was all covered in foam so he could make as much noise as he wanted, but he wasn't there to play his black and red striped drums with silver rims, no. He was there to scream his heart out; and no one would listen.

The days went by and it was all the same to him, he began visiting Amity Park again, found himself with Fantina and they would catch up, his parents were still competing and drawing, his sister would sing along with her pokemon. They had their lives figured out; unlike Nam. Then, one day, something that sounded like propellers invaded Nam's morning breakfast, soon followed by the chirp of his doorbell.

"Hello, Nam?" the bewildered boy couldn't believe his eyes, he even removed his headphones to make sure he wasn't hearing things, because his eyes perceived the image quite well. Cynthia, Champion of the Sinnoh region and leader of Team Reverse, was standing in front of his door, standing on his welcome mat, with a helicopter behind her; it was polished, black steel; emblazoned with Team Reverse's Emblem. on the door. She was inviting him to join the Association of Light, Nam, she was inviting him! He wasn't sure what to make of it; perhaps he was in Punk'd a T.V. series that messes around with people. But one thing's for sure, he was staring at Cynthia's face. She handed him a recommendation letter from his old school in Jubilife City.

"Why me?" he managed. "Sure, I have nice grades, but I have no experience in pokemon battles…"
"Then I shall test you." Nam was still baffled, but before he could say anything else, he was handed a Pokeball. He was going to face Fantina; a one on one battle. She claimed to have been part of that recommendation letter his school had sent to the Association of Light. She saw the potential in Nam as a trainer. Nam wasn't sure about it, but somehow, having a pokeball extend in his hands felt naturally comforting. "Alright… This is it, this is where I shine!" Nam pressed on the button in the center of the pokeball as he put his headphones back on. He threw the ball into the air and a red light dashed out like lightning, soon forming a Rattata, a small purple mouse pokemon. The crowd gathered.

Fantina began going on about how great that Rattata looked and so she finally sent out her own pokemon, "Duskull!" it looked like a chibi version of the Grim Reaper, or at-least that's how Nam saw it. And so the battle began. Rattata is a Normal type pokemon which is ineffective against Ghost types, which in fact Duskull was. But Ghost type moves weren't effective against Normal pokemon either. So they were hand to hand, Nam thought.

"Damnit, Rattata can't learn foresights… therefore normal type moves are completely useless here…" he muttered to himself. Then he remembered that Rattata knows dark type moves. "Rattata, Crunch!" Nam ordered; but the due to his lack of experience, Rattata completely ignored him and went about its own. Rattata attempted to use Hyper Fang, since it was its best move. But Duskull just faded away and used, "Hidden Power!" Balls of light generated around the black ghost pokemon and expanded in one swift motion. Rattata tumbled to the ground.
"Rattata, if you want to win, you'll have to trust in me! Normal moves don't work on Ghost pokemon!" The prideful rodent finally agreed to listen and awaited further orders.

Next, Fantina ordered Duskull to use Mean Look. Rattata was terrified, he felt as if giant eyes were looking down at him, followed by Dark Impulse, but Rattata snapped out of it with Nam's call and evaded the attack, following through with Bite, right over Duskull's head. The chibi reaper shivered and flinched to Rattata's sunken teeth.
"Dark type moves are supper effective against Ghosts!" Nam said with a grin.

"Nice movez you have, but thiz iz not game!" Fantina countered. "Vision de l'Avenir!" Duskull's eyes glowed and foresaw Rattata's intent to repeat his previous attack, fading away it used, "Will-o-Wisp!"

"Rattata!" Nam called; the small mouse pokemon was now burnt, but he wasn't about to give up. "This Rattata is Gutsy…" then the memory flashed back at him. One of Rattata's abilities is Guts, an ability that increases Rattata's attack stat by 50% in his pokemon games. "You made a big mistake Fantina…" he declared; a confident stare moved Fantina, as if Mean Look was being used on her instead of a pokemon. For a moment she had forgotten about the battle and kept staring at her opponent, Nam, "He has grown quite a bit…" she thought. Duskull panicked due to the lack of orders and attempted to use Shadow Sneak, a ghost type move. The unaffected Rattata sucked up its pain and used Sucker Punch on Duskull and finished it off with a Crunch. Duskull feinted, and since he was no longer able to battle, Nam had won. Rattata felt relieved and dropped to the ground.

After a while Fantina had realized what happened and smiled; congratulating Nam for his victory. Of course, this was nothing compared to a real Gym battle, she assured. Fantina recalled her pokemon and the burn on Rattata faded away. "You did great, Rattata!" Nam exclaimed. The exhausted mouse smiled and returned to its pokeball.

"Well, there's no doubt about it, the battle was a bit shaky, but you've definitely got potential. How about it? Join the Association of Light?" Cynthia handed out the recommendation letter to Nam, again. Hoping this time he'll actually pay attention to it and won't daze off. Nam was still not convinced that he was the right guy for this, but he would definitely like to go on an adventure with pokemon. "Nam"
The boy flinched and looked straight into her eyes. She cringed a bit herself, his honest eyes filled with curiosity and yet some pain; he was looking straight into her eyes, who does that?
"Team Crescenta is getting bigger and stronger as we speak and they're only a small branch of a much bigger and vast group that spans the seas and different regions we all know. The Association of Light can't beat them alone, if we could, we wouldn't be asking you. We need you, Nam." Finally Nam put himself together and accepted Cynthia's request. He hugged his parents goodbye, packed his bags, and prepared to set out on a journey; his life was about to change, forever.

"Never mind"said Lilly, Lilly went over to the bathroom and checked the time,"Wow its lunch time, I didn't even notice"thought Lilly, Lilly grabbed her bag and opened the door,"You coming?"asked Lilly, her room-mate didn't answer,"Fine then, il catch up with you later"said Lilly.
Lilly closed the door behind her and ran through the hall way, Later she made it to the lunch room and saw people getting and all ready eating there lunch.
"Kinda crowded better find a table"thought Lilly as she looked around the Cafeteria, Lilly stopped her eye's to see Ashley and another boy talking to each other, "Oh hi Ashley!"shouted Lilly waving at her, Lilly went over to Ashley's table, "Hi nice to see you again!"said Lilly.

After wandering around for the past hour or two, Tyrant walked to the cafeteria to get some lunch. "Crowded." Tyrant thought, sitting at an empty table. "Man...I'm really not hungry. I wonder if this place has any coffee milk. It's all I want. I do feel a little heated up, though. I'll need some water in about two hours." Tyrant thought, taking off his left glove for a moment to see his hand was now made of fire. "Yup...I'll end up transforming soon." Tyrant added, putting the glove back on. "I guess I'll have to wait it out." Tyrant quietly said.

Nam: Accepted!

"Sure, that would be great." Ashley said, so excited on the inside that she was about to jump for joy. "When would you like to go see the movie?" Ashley asked Joey. Then, she heard Lilly saying hi to Ashley. She looked over and saw Lilly wave. Ashley waved back. "Yes! He likes me! I hope..." Ashley thought to herself. She looked at her watch. 1:20. Almost time for English, but Ashley nor Joey would have to be there. She was free for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. What was she so worried about? Was she just used to the class schedule, always having to be checking her watch? She didn't know but just something about her was always just wanting to check the schudule. She never wanted to get into detention. Maybe for that reason, she was checking the schedule and her watch so much.

Joey felt his heart leap when she said yes. Perfect! Now I have to find a good time and then not screw this up! Joey thought to himself. Another girl walked over to the table. She seemed to know Ashley. Were they friends? Who knows. Who cares! Joey had to pick a good time.
"How about... Tonight, after gym class. Or would that be too soon for you? I can go whenever, so long as I'm not in a class at the time. My schedule is pretty free," Joey said. He turned to the girl that had just walked up. She was pretty good looking too, but Ashley was just something special to him, and he couldn't even articulate why. It didn't have anything to do with looks for her. She was just the kind of person he would always want to be around.
"Hi, I'm Joey! And you are?" he asked. He took another bite of his pizza when he realized he had forgotten to eat.
