Cassie saw the others struggling to hold up the tower and rushed to their aid. Conjuring a force field of static, she put it between the three of them and the tower, draining her energy with every second she held it up. A drop of sweat slid down her brow as she strained to keep it there. She couldn't keep this up much longer...

A vein on Devil's head started becoming increasingly noticeable. The stress was painting his arms with pain. Sheol was in pain as well, but not nearly as much due to this wasn't entirely his body. Sheol knew Devil's strength could be increased, he just needed to get Devil enraged.

Sheol only had one way to enrage devil from inside his body, he had to bring back horrible memories of his past. Sheol sadly called upon those dreaded recollections, and they came flowing back like a river crashing through a broken dam.

Memorys of fire, pain, torment, and darkness. They stung Sheol on the inside, but their doing on the outside was more noticeable.

Devil roared loudly. The muscles on his arms began bulging, growing larger. Devil's entire body was growing. Devil found new strength, all of which he channeled into the current task at hand.

The sudden quakes of the tower, nocked Sean back against the floor of the roof. "What the hell is going on down their", the ice that had spread across the tower had almost engulfed him, but he was able to hold it off with a small trench of darkness.

Sean stood up and dove of the roof, heading down towards the devil. Lets try something new.

As he fell, spirals of shadowish light engulfed his mind and body. His own being channeled through this churning mass that slowly took form. The devil looked up at the huge perpetual shadow Dragon, it began to help hold the tower up..

Meanwhile....

Darkfire was much higher in the air, watching upon the people below, his body still burning a fearsome fire. He drew power from the air and the flame ball he held in his hand gradually increased in size and heat. Slowly but steadily it grew. Soon to be launched at the gruesome looking foe.

After several minutes the flame was bigger that his torso. He wasn't done yet..he drew even more power, until the fire ball stopped growing.

"Looks like I can't draw any more heat from around me. Hmm...I've got an idea." he said.

The fire that completely covered his body was placed it into the flame ball. His body regained his normal form, and the ball grew even faster until its size was several times bigger than Darkfire himself.

"WATCH OUT BELOWW!!" yelled Darkfire, almost ready to release the humongous flaming ball towards Coronias.

Jasper took all the sadness, all the rage, all the hatred for the one who had done all that, and concentrated it into heat energy. He then suddenly burst out into flames. The flames burned as hot as the surface of the sun, and they began to melt the top of the tower. Jasper shot himself high into the air, the fire growing with his rage. He would find the one who did this to his Saphira, and he would kill them, murder them in cold blood. He told himself this over and over.

"Heh, looks as though something's really got you worked up."

Saphira's head shot up. Above her, someone was watching her. Was it Chaos? No, she decided, to young for Chaos... The other boy? He was too old to be him too... Somehow, Saphira knew she had met this person somewhere, sometime.

"Well?" The boy in black asked, crossing his arms, "Arn't you going to tell your own brother?"

"What?" Saphira backed away from this person--she never had an older brother, at least not one that she knew of. And yet.... I do have a sibling... Something told her she was related to him, and that she was in danger. I don't remember his nname, but that face looks familiar. ****!! He's gonna try to kill me!!

As if hearing Saphira's thoughts, Blackwolf lept off the building, turning into a wolf in mid-air. He growled at her, his crimson eyes watching her every move. Each of them waited for the other to move first.

Jasper was high in the sky, sending massive ammounts of heat dispursing towards the ground. If he had been thinking he wouldn't have been buring all of his energy up. What if Saphira came back, he knew he was powerless. But none of this mattered, in sadness, fury, and blind rage, he burnt himself out. FInally the fire subsided over him, and it it stopped ocmpletely. Having used all his energy, Jasper began free-falling towards the gorund.

Down below, there were now more people supporting the tower. A drop of shiny substance landed on Dual's arm, as it hardened in to metal. Somehow, the boy he saw earlier's fire powers have gotten that strong... Or it was Darkfire. Dual chuckled at the thought. Devil had gotten a lot stronger. But he didn't seem to have a mind to think. Dual moaned, as he looked up at the dark sky. Something up there was falling and it shouldn't be there. Dual took his hands off the tower. The tower creaked and leaned towards the side where Dual was earlier. Stretching his arms out, Dual was ready to catch the falling boy. He squinted his eyes.

"He's dropping from the roof too. Eeeeeeeeeeeeek!" He squealed. The boy fell down into Dual's arms by some miracle. A crack was heard as Dual broke both his arms. His costume was burned off and blood was dripping from his arms. He lay the boy down, his joints were not connect at all by anything. He swung his arm around in a 360 degree angle. It looked disgusting, but it might help. He looked around to see who was available. Darkfire...

"Darkfire! Get down here, and give me my swords and put them in my hands!" He roared.

Darkfire stopped the creation of his ball of flame, noticing Dual's cry for help. He withdrew the energy from the ball of flame in order to convert it into normal energy. Though he was irritated that Dual ordered him to do his bidding he would still help a fellow teammate.

"Here ya go Dual!" said Darkfire, who used his powers to levitate the swords towards Dual.

He levitated down to the tower, looking for something to do instead of just standing there doing nothing.

Jasper was caught by some miracle by a boy below the boy had injured himself badly. Jasper was unconsious the entire time. His mind ran wild, thinking about Saphira, and about a Darkfire character although he didn't know why...

"Fool boy." I muttered, looking at the pathetic scene. The heat had done nothing to me, could do nothing to me, for in the rality I had for myself, heat didn't exist. I ran a wave of mental energy into the boy's skull and down his spine... A nasty surprise for him upon awakening... See if he could use his legs again... Now, to find Saphira. Her mental bondage had obviously not been strong enough, there were two choices. Kill her, or break her again. I opted for the former, the ***** had outlived her usefullness. That didn't mean she wouldn't suffer, though... Nay, by the end, she would beg for the honor of being one of my slaves again. I smiled curelly and focused in on the remanants of her mental chains, warping to them.

Cassie watched as a boy fell from the tower, burning as if on fire. In fact, he was on fire. The top of the tower was alight, flickering with flames. This was getting out of hand. "I'm going for help!" Cassie called to the others. With the speed of a lightning bolt, she was off, rushing through the city so fast her surroundings seemed a blur. She wasn't sure who she would go to for help, but she'd have to do it fast. Her heart pounding, she turned a corner and raced down a deserted street, coming to a halt when she saw that it wasn't deserted after all. A girl was there, and a black wolf-like creature. Neither moved. Following their example, Cassie stood, frozen, staring at the scene. Who was this girl?

Saphira?

Dual's hands were clutched tightly onto the sword. He swung his arms around in an unpleasant manner in 360 degrees. Dual built up enough speed to actually became what seemed like a helicopter. Dual began to levitate, and before long he started hovering higher and higher. Soon he reached Coronias. The blades swung at a high speed, cutting off Coronias's tentacles bit by bit. Black blood oozed out. Until the blood reformed into new tentacles. Coronias swung a tentacle at Dual. Dual was repeating history... Falling high from the sky.

Blackwolf charged. Fangs bared, he latched onto Saphira's arm, trying to drag her down so he could get a hold on her neck. Somehow, Saphira managed to wrench out of his hold, and attacked with ice. He dodged each deadly spear with ease, startling her. How did he know exactly when she was going to attack and where.

But.... Something felt as though she had fought him before. In fact, shen knew she had fought him before. Saphira let the ice melt, and watched as it winded it's way around Blackwolf, holding him still. She made the water lift him into the air, and threw him at the wall. A large dent was left where the large wolf had hit.

Blackwolf snarled viciously, and ran at her again, pinning her to the ground. He clawed at her shoulders, digging his nails deeper into her skin. Saphira kicked him off, and threw another ice spear at him. This one hit it's target. Blackwolf landed, limping. Blood gushed from the wound inflicted by the frozen attack, which was still embeded in his skin. Blackwolf jumped into the air, right above Saphira.

Cassie stared at the battle, unable to look away. She wanted to fight, to do something other than just stand there, but she wasn't sure whom to side with. She didn't know this boy, and Saphira was with Chaos. But then, she had been a Titan once...

Making up her mind on the spot, Cassie ran to Saphira's side, looking up to monitor Blackwolf. Her eyes followed him like a missile its target, watching him where he was suspended in mid-air. A crackling sound was heard as a golden spark appeared, hanging in the air in front of her. Using mental instruction to guide it, she made it follow the boy's every move, wondering as she did why she was helping Saphira at all.

I appeared directly behind Saphira, conjuring ropes seemingly made of living darkness to bind the three there. I hissed into Saphira's ear, "You'll be sorry you ran from me, *****." Kicking her legs out, I added, "Serving me is a privilage, one you will long for before I finish with you."

"Let us go!" cried Cassie, struggling to no avail against the darkness that bound her. She knew she was being stupid, knew he wouldn't listen. She could feel his power, the blackness of his heart. Something about him made her blood run cold. He wasn't someone you'd want angry at you. But she didn't care. At that moment, a strange boldness she'd never had before filled her, and she couldn't care less whether she lived or died. She continued trying to fight the dark chains that held her even though she was certain it was no use. "Monster!" she shrieked, writhing in the ropes. "Stop using her like your puppet!" She glared at him, still fighting a losing battle against her bonds.

"Death is the only thing I've wished for since I've met you!!" Saphira snarled, glaring up at Chaos. Every painful memory began washing over her, from the day she and Chaos had first spoken to the present moment. She wanted to die. She wanted to depart from this life, this world, because of everything she had been forced to do.

Saphira knew she would die. But she wasn't going down without a fight.

Good thing Devil was still enraged, because Dual looked like he could use some help. The angry demon dashed toward Coronias in a balls-out battle charge. Devil forgot the size difference between he and Coronias. The only thing on his mind was venting his unstable fury.

Devil grabbed Coronias by a handful of tentacles. He swung his arms overhead, flipping the giant mass of tentacles over and slamming him into the ground. Devil felt satified by this move, but it wasn't enough. He jumped onto Coronias's chest, pounding and thrashing his stunned foe.

Devil had ignored Dual. Dual fell into the ground creating a large impact. A huge crack could be heard. Every bone in Dual's body had broke.

"I guess I am that unnoticeable..." Dual said weakly. He smiled weakly as his skin started to grow pale. His eyes closed and Dual went to what might be a never-ending sleep.
