However unlikely or likely it may be, if Gamefreak decided to make a Pokemon game where you played as a member of the villainous team, would you play the game? Would you only do it just because it's a Pokemon game? What features/etc would you want to be included, and what team would you want to be a member of, if any? And finally, if there was an option midway through to quit and join the good guys, would you?

I love to play the villain, so I'd buy this game as quickly as possible. Not only is it a new concept that has yet to be explored, but it gives us a chance to step into the shoes of the same people we've taken time and patience out of our journey to defeat, so we can have a sense of empathy with them as we play with them, in a sense.

I'd probably a member of Team Galactic, as I really liked their plan of creating a new universe and I think it'd be awesome to watch Cyrus' ambitious plans be created right before my eyes. Oh, if I could quit I'd probably quit after I get beaten by the protagonist (who's pretty much my antagonist at this point) a few times, where I'd probably just give up. If we could pick a separate mode where we were restricted to the team's own Pokemon, then I'd be there. It'd be fun to beat the prota--antagonist with nothing but a Glameow, right? :3

I would love to play as one of the main villains in a Pokémon game, so I would definitely log onto my computer or head down to the store as soon as possible to buy the game. I assume it would be a spin-off game, similar to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon in a different fashion seeing as the idea isn't really Game Freak's 'groove'.

Similar to Marisa above, I would choose to be a member of Team Galactic so I could assist Cyrus' ambitious plans which would unfold infront of me. Perhaps the assistance of the player may cause for a different ending to occur.

I would definitely get that. Much as I love the typical 'formula' of Pokemon games, it does get repetitive, and once in a while a good spin-off helps keep things fresh.

I'd like to be a member of Team Rocket, 'cause they're the OGs. You start as a new Team Rocket grunt, and gameplay would include planning heists and stealing rare Pokemon, should be lots of good fun. I don't think I would want to switch sides - if we do play as one of the teams I would imagine starting as a grunt, then slowly rising through the ranks, and it would just be a bummer to quit before you reach the top. I dunno, depends on how the story goes, I guess.

Hell yes I would. I've been wanting to play a Pokemon game where you played a villainous character for a long time. (You -could- count Colo since Wes was once part of Team Snagem, but he cut ties with them when he stole the Snag Machine, so.) As for team of choice, I'd pick either Team Rocket or Neo Team Plasma. I love Team Magma, but I'm not the biggest fan of their goal/how they execute it XD

Anyway, if I were a part of Team Rocket, the main thing I'd love to be able to steal/take Pokemon from Trainers during battle (could bring back the Snag Machine, haha) or after battle (could sort of be like that one tournament in YGO where you give up your strongest card upon losing). I'd also like to be able to steal items, namely key ones. I mean, you find potions and stuff lying around in the main games anyway; I doubt they'd take that aspect out XD It'd also be cool if Red and Leaf or Ethan and Lyra (or Gold and Kris for nostalgia) were your main opponents and are trying to stop you from completing Team Rocket's goal. Oh, and you'd have at least one "rival"--another Team Rocket member who's trying to be better than you and will battle you constantly. Instead of earning badges, you'd have missions--e.g., steal a rich person's Pokemon, capture a legendary, etc. After completing a certain number of missions, you'll receive a badge (stolen, of course), allowing you to use HMs. You'd also start as a Grunt, but the more missions you complete the higher you'll be able to rise in rank. There could be extra ranks rather than just Grunt/Admin/Scientist so you have more to look forward to.

If I were a part of Neo Team Plasma, I'd want the same as for Team Rocket except the Pokemon I steal I'd have to hand over to Ghetsis. And, of course, Nate, Rosa, and N would be your opponents. It'd be cool if Blair & Whitlea came back to stop you, too o:

In response to the last question, I'd probably join the good guys on some of my playthroughs. It'd be cool if you could then take on gyms (though it'd be optional) and the leaders' Pokemon would be at reasonable levels (e.g., if the Trainers' Pokemon were in their 40s by the time you switched sides, the first Gym Leader you challenge would have their Pokemon in their 40s or 50s).

You bet your sweet ass I'd play that! The vast majority of games have you play as the hero, so I jump at almost any chance to play the villain. It's a nice change of pace, and there's just some days where I want to be the "bad guy".

As for which team I'd join, probably either Flare or Neo Plasma. Flare so perhaps we can explore Lysandre's plans and thoughts some more and to commit genocide for funsies because no real people are in danger of dying. Neo Plasma because while they're one of the stereotypical "we're gonna take over the world" villains, they were the best ones, imo.

And would I quit the team if given the option partway through the game? ♥♥♥♥ that.

I've always wanted to be a thing. If such Pokémon game had ever existed, I'd be purchasing it as soon as I would get the chance. Have always wondered what it would be like to play from bad guys' perspective--stealing Pokémon from trainers, climbing up ranks, doing missions, and so on. Personally, I'd really like it if Team Rocket were one of our options. Am a huge fan of this organization in general, and lots of fans are familiar with it. Some might not know what Team Galactic or Plasma is, but once you mention Rocket, I assure you that it will not be the same story.

I wouldn't like there to be any option to switch over to good side, unfortunately. Well, maybe they could implement it post-game so that you could travel places without much trouble, but before that, I'd want us to remain bad. This is what this game would be about, anyway, so if it were anything more, that'd defeat the purpose.

I remember playing some ROM hack before that allowed you to play as a member of Team Rocket (Toxic Purple, if I remember correctly), and it was extremely fun. Sadly, I don't think it has ever been completed, though. Would've been awesome if that weren't the case! This could've even inspired other hacks, and have them follow similar formula.

Of course I would play a Pokemon game where you got to be a member of the villainous team. After all, evil is cool. As for which team I would be a member of, maybe Team Aqua. As for quitting at one point, no way, since I mentioned before, evil is cool.

I would love to play that kind of game! :) It'd be cool if you could have the option of having a partner, the James to your Jessie if you will or vice versa :) I think I'd like to be an Admin (or play through the game working my way up to that level), and have any Pokémon of my choosing, not necessarily whatever ones are normally associated with my team which in this case would be... TEAM MAGMA! :D Awesome outfits and following Maxie = yes please lol :)

I think it would depend on what way the game was going - if I could go on and win the League to gain Maxie's approval and maybe become the new leader of Team Magma and have the post-game based on that then I'd probably stay loyal to my team rather than break out on my own :) After all, if I was part of Team Magma then according to my way of thinking I'd already BE one of the good guys lol :)
