That Pokemon Doesn't Suit Ash!

What are some Pokemon that you feel that don't suit Ash? It can be from his team, or a Pokemon he hasn't caught. Why do you feel that Pokemon doesn't suit him? Why?

Honestly, I always thought all pure Normal types never suited him, but maybe that's just me? Lucky for me, Ash never kept his Aipom to begin with, but think about it for a second. Pokemon with a varying range of types suit him much more. Also, based on his personality, I'd say fully evolving his Boldore just wouldn't suit him either. I can't think of anything else, though.

Well he still keeps his 30 Tauros XD... and Snorlax.

Also I don't think slow Pokémon suit him... like Kingler. Maybe the writers saw that too and that's why he never used him again after Indigo League.

It's not that they don't suit him, but there are lot of Pokemon he caught in Sinnoh and Unova that I didn't expect him to. They are Gligar/Gliscor, Gible, Roggenrola/Boldore, Scraggy, Palpitoad and the sunglasses Krokorok/Krookodile. The fact they're mostly ground types is a coincidence and Scraggy is probably because I never imagined him with a dark type.

For me, Pokémon that never suited Ash was Gible. Let's face it, that Pokémon was just comic relief, nothing more and it replaced Gliscor, who fitted Ash much more. Plus it did pretty much nothing, really, most likely since it was caught practically at the end of its saga. That Pokémon just never should be in Ash's team IMO.
I also don't think Scraggy really suited Ash. I know as Dark type fan, I should probably be happy that writers finally gave Dark Type to main character, something I didn't expect to happen at all, but to tell you truth, if there is Dark Type Pokémon I dislike, it's definitely Scraggy and its portrayal in anime plays big role in that. Not to mention it didn't fit Ash personality-wise either. It's exactly the kind of Pokémon I would've expected writers to give Brock, but since Brock wasn't around already, they just gave it to Ash and it didn't work.

I am glad Ash got Greninja, so the Dark Types in main cast got rehabilitation ;)

Palpitoad.

What was the point in giving Ash this toad if it had like little-to-no appearances during the Unova saga, and not evolving it into Seismitoad was a missed opportunity for Ash to have a decent Water-type powerhouse. Palpitoad spent an absent streak of over 50 episodes at one point, heavily reminding me of the long absent streak Kingler had between the Indigo League after its evolution and when it next appeared.

Speaking of Kingler, I felt like it didn't suit Ash either.
