The Academy of Myth and the Light's Shadow

"Alright, I'll give you the details at lunch." Kobora said to Kana before she went back to her seat. "Ummm...sir...I left all my stuff in my room. Can I go get it?" Kobora asked the professer. "You better make it quick." the professer said, so Kobora grabbed his TV guide book, waved goodbye to Kana, and left the room.

"Alright, time to watch that marathon." Kobora said while heading to the Stone Dorm. Kobora made his way into his room, so he turned on his TV, and saw the 1st episode of Three for the Kill was on.

BRRRRRIIINNNGGGG
Finally, the class is over…
Now where did Kana go…?

Link started slowly towards the door, looking around for Kana.
Aha! There she is.
He made his way over to Kana, kind of pushing his way through the crowd.
"Sorry about earlier… I can be overly cautious sometimes…" He said.
His heart sank. This was one of the major drawbacks of being shy. He could start to say something, but it always ended up trailing off, and he couldn't make it go anywhere else. Except to an awkward silence. He could almost always manage that.
Link sighed, and hoped that Kana would take the conversation somewhere…

Kana pats Link on his shoulder, wrapping an arm around him and leaning her head against his chest. "Don't worry big guy. First day can be tough. I have no idea what's going on, but I'm having fun! To be honest, you're the first one to pay attention to me! Doesn't that make you feel special?"

((OOC: She's like a foot shorter than him, so don't read too much into her leaning against his chest. It's all she can reach without flying. Plus she likes to touch people. It's kinda fun, actually.))

Oliver's perfect smile faltered for a fraction of a second when he saw the green bubble, but he worked past it and decided to deal with the issue at hand: Ice Beam. Counter? No, instead Oliver turned around and bent over, baring his tail, "Like the view?" He jeered playfully at Ian, knowing well that Marco could also make note of Oliver as he bent over in his skin-tight jeans.

Suddenly, his tail flashed like metal and the Ice Beam disappated to diamond dust. He stood erect once more and sneered, "Metal counters Ice. My Iron Tail was the perfect defense." He let both of his hands drop to his sides, open-palmed. He breathed deeply, causing two swirling orbs of purplish energy to appear in his hands. He looked at Ian, a face of dead severity, "Shadow Ball!!!" He chucked one ball at Ian's head and sent the other skyward. He then quickly did front flip and kicked the second ball on its descent with his heel. The second Shadow Ball curved around behind Ian and whirled to hit him in the back.

Ian once again blushed as Oliver used his Iron Tail to counter the Ice Beam. He's showing off as much as I am… Time to step it up! As the Shadow Ball got closer, Ian's hands began to glow a whitish-silver color. "Gyro Ball!" Ian began to spin, his hands becoming a silver ring around his body, smashing both orbs into what looked like purple fireworks. Ian used to beauty of the exploding orbs to come to a stop and show off his own features, namely the way the explosions reflected off the ice. Remember what you learned Ian. Don't only use your attacks to look good, but use other's attacks as well.

Ian's body came to a full halt as the last of the explosion faded. "Metal also counters Ghost. Let's see how you play on my field." Ian's entire body began to glow, and over where he and Oliver were sparring dark storm clouds began to form. Ian's eyes burst open, a blazing blue. "Hail!" Hail began to plummet onto the battle field, raining down on Oliver. "Let's see how you like this! Weather Ball!" Ian formed a ball of cloud above his head that glowed with a blue light and hurled it at the Umbreon pokejinka.

Oliver looked genuinely impressed with how Ian handled himself, using others' moves to make him look more attractive than usual. Not to say he wasn't a fairly attractive boy. Oliver did like that icy calm about him. However, now was not the time to be musing. Instead, he focused on the Weather Ball of ice and countered with an Iron Tail. Oliver decided to see just what reaction he could get out of Ian and Marco so he did something brash.

Leaping forward, Oliver bared his fangs. He latched onto Ian and smirked, "Enjoy this, cutey," his canines grew about a half inch larger, a sign of his Bite attack and then Oliver bit down onto Ian's shoulder. Not hard, or deep. But just enough to send electricity through the boy's body.

Then, they heard a whistle. "Mister Oliver!" It was Cresselia, "This is Special Attacks class, not Physical Attacks class! I declare your match over."

Oliver hopped off Ian and shrugged apologetically, "Sorry, coach. Got a little," he looked at Ian and smirked, "carried away, I guess."

"Yes, well control yourself from now on, got it?"

"Yeah, coach."

"Why don't you take Ian down to Nurse Blissey to get that Bite examined?"

Oliver almost did a double backflip. Perfect chance! He nodded, "Alright," he grabbed and put on his shirt, "Coming, Ian?" He winked before walking towards the door.

Ian couldn't believe that Oliver was able to counter his Weather Ball so easily. He's quick… I'll definitely give him that. Ian was readying another Ice Beam when Oliver was suddenly wrapped around him. "Enjoy this cutie." Ian couldn't concentrate long enough to engage his Protect attack, and Oliver bit into his shoulder. The pain was immediate and searing. He could tell it wasn't deep, but it hurt more than he was expecting.

Coach Cresselia called their match since Oliver used a physical move, and Ian couldn't believe that he now had to go to the nurse's office with who he viewed as his rival. Now that Houndoom is going to think I'm a complete waste. I could've and should've won that fight! That cheating little ho is going to pay for this. Ian stormed past Oliver, almost jogging to the nurse's office.

Ian's sudden departure made Oliver almost second question his original gut-feeling. However, he decided to put that doubt behind him and ran after Ian. Somewhere down the hall, he caugbht up to him. "Hey! What's the rush?" He jogged around so he was in front of Ian and began walking backwards to face him.

Oliver sighed, "Look, I know you're more than a little pissed about how that Marco kid and I behaved in class. Honestly, I don't blame you." He let his mind dwell on the image of Marco for a moment, "Yeah, I really don't blame you. But, the guy's so far in the closet he's stumbled into Narnia. No chance he'll be open about his sexuality any time soon." As to explain, Oliver pointed to the golden ring on his forehead, "See this? It changes color based on the moods of those around me. My Synchronize ability allows me to 'feel' what others feel. And you, my fine friend, are gushing jealousy and anger."

Ian really didn't want to deal with this right now. He hated being called out. Chloe did it all the time. He knew she was always right, but it always pissed him off before he calmed down. He knew he couldn't let this boy be right. Ian was a very talented liar. It had gotten people off of his back for years, so he decided to put those skills to use once more. "You don't know anything about me. Why on Earth do you think I was focused on that Houndoom? I'm not gay. Did you ever stop to think that I was more interested in that cute Vulpix? I saw how blatant you came onto that demon spawn. I just can't believe that someone as nice and shy as that girl would give you a second glance. Now get away from me you fag!"

Ian knew it was wrong. He wanted to cry; he was so angry, hurt, miserable. He lashed out at Oliver, but he didn't want anyone to know his secrets. He stormed down the hall toward the main door. His ability allowed him to heal in Hail weather, so he decided to head toward his dorm to heal. He wanted to collapse. He wished upon wish that he could've just said what he truly felt, but he couldn't. Most hurtful though, he wished that the Houndoom boy would come to find him, and comfort him. This was the biggest lie of them all, but in his darkest desires, Ian knew he wanted it to be true.

It hurt.

Oliver felt the familiar sting of tears behind his eyes and he instinctively felt his forearms for those all-too-familiar cut marks. He fought it back, fought it all back. He wanted to lash out at Ian, put his Torment attack to good use and see the boy cry. Afterall, he'd just tried to extend a hand of friendship to this boy whom he thought was cute and he turns around and explodes on him.

However, Oliver didn't turn around and go cry in a corner. He followed Ian. "Hey!" He yelled, "Listen to me!" He growled in frustration before breaking into a ran and slammed Ian into the wall, holding him by his shoulders. Much to Oliver's dismay, tears were streaming down his face and his eyes had gone a shade of rose pink. "That was completely...ya know what," he backed away from the boy, "Forget it. Just, just eff off..." He didn't feel like bothering anymore. The Umbreon just wanted to go to his room and take out that razor blade again...

He stalked off down the hall and remembered he'd left his bag in Special Attacks for Beginners. "God damn it!" He sobbed. He slumped to the ground against the wall in a small alcove down the same hallway Ian was in, but far enough down that he wouldn't see, or so Oliver hoped.

"Man...I really gotta get to class." Kobora said while turning his TV off, leaving his room, and heading over to the Stone Dorm bathroom to splash some water on his face. "What am I thinking...I'm gonna win the fight tonight. I'm awesome that way." Kobora said to his reflection in the mirror before leaving the Stone Dorm to head for his next class.

Kana started to pat Link on the shoulder. She put her arm around Link's shoulder, and started to lean into his chest.
"Don't worry big guy. First day can be tough. I have no idea what's going on, but I'm having fun! To be honest, you're the first one to pay attention to me! Doesn't that make you feel special?"

Link chuckled "Yeah, I guess it does…" Link felt kinda awkward. He wasn't used to being close to people. He tried to not make it seem like he wasn't very comfortable, but wasn't doing to well…
"So… uh… What is your… uh… Next class?" He stammered.

OCC: We have nearly killed the logic of time...

IC:

"Well...I still got tons of time before that fight. I gotta prepare myself." Kobora said while looking for the Geometry room, holding his schedule and wandering around until he found a room that had "Geometry" written on it with white paint. "I guess this is it...I'm already late as hell." Kobora said, opening the door, and entering the classroom full of Normal type and Flying type gijinka.

Ian felt awful. He didn't want to hurt Oliver like that. He was stupid, as always. He let his temper get the best of him, and he hurt Oliver. A lot. His tears were proof of it. As the Umbreon stalked off, Ian knew he had to make things right. "Hey! Oliver! I… I'm sorry. I didn't mean…" The Umbreon made it around the corner and Ian's shoulders fell. He leaned against the wall and slid down, tears trickling down his face. What would Chloe do? She would find him and apologize… Maybe he would forgive him if he let him have the Houndoom. Maybe… No… He couldn't admit that he lied. Ian set his mind, wiped the tears from his eyes, and headed back toward the classroom where he saw Oliver heading.

Ian turned the corner, and almost missed the small alcove where the Umbreon was softly crying. Ian turned around, and slowly headed toward the crying boy. "Uh… um… Oliver… I… I just… I just wanted to apologize. I… I let my temper get out of control… I… I didn't mean it. I'm… I'm sorry." Ian racked his brain and made a rash decision. Ian's hands glowed for just a moment, and he held out a rose made of ice to the crying boy. "Uh… Glalie can freeze water particles in the air. I know it's not much… but I really am sorry…"

Kana stands straight, guiding Link as she walks away from the classroom. "I don't. I get an hour to myself! From now 'til noon, just Kana! I'm sure you have classes, though, don'tcha? I'll walk you to your next class! Which one is it?"

((OOC: At 10:40, status conditions class includes: JewelofLife, Adam, and jcog (that's you!). Schedules are on page 2, so you can check other classes. Or just ask me. I don't mind doing the work.))

((Also OOC: Okay, from now on, if it's small and in double parentheses, it's OOC, k?))

OOC: Does any RPer want to be friends with Megan?

IC: Megan looked around the biology room. No-one, apart from herself and the teacher, were there. Megan thought about lunch. She could make some more friends then.
Soon, some more Pokejinkas came in, including the Remoraid Gijinka she met earlier, Teigan Green. Teigan Green sat down next to Megan, and they began to chat. Jake Roberts, the teacher, interuppted their conversation by telling them that there no talking was to be done in class. ''Yes Jake Roberts," they replied, before stopping their conversation.
