As I said, I regret keeping inactives from any team, but it made strategic sense. I don't know what all you've heard about this alliance, but upon initial creation it was made to keep ME in the game when one of my own team went after me. When the Pikachus arrived and started steamrolling the people that had put hard work into making it as far as we did, we were annoyed. The alliance expanded and we tried to keep strong players who had been in from the start. Somewhere along the line it got out of hand. But again, the core alliance that I was involved with? It was there to protect me and two of my team from elimination as best we could. That is what alliances are for. I would appreciate if people did not run their mouths based on rumor and suspicion.
I am not saying any one person deserves to win more than any others. I am saying that the alliance worked for its intended purpose for a while and then got out of hand. I am saying that some of us felt hopeless in the face of the (fully active) Pikachus and did our best to come out on top.
Also, the strategy behind team play and individual play is completely different. In team play, we needed to vote the strongest out first in order to maintain our team wins to compensate for our inactives. In individual play, it becomes less important to focus on the strong players because there are now a lot of them and no weak ones dragging anyone down.
As I said, it makes the end more fun if the strong players stay to compete. And if we are truly to follow the Amazing Race in style, we would be eliminating those that came in last, which inevitably keeps the strong players in. This has not been possible to truly emulate until now due to the team mechanism.
Pretty much this again. I am actually surprised that Aquacorde didn't vote me out, and I get it. It's more fun to reach then with the 5 strongest players over the 5 inactive people because "they may have been busy".
Also, what Aquacorde said makes sense. You keep the weak members on your team, and destroy the strong on the opposing. It's a common war tactic that makes since, but only when you have a team. Now many of you are simply crippling this game because of whatever reasons you have.
Who's next, Aquacorde and Linyit? Vote of the strongest till the end? Leave MizEileen and Risionia, people who don't really play this till the end of the game?
I'd suggest many of you reconsider this. Your alliances wont last, there are no more real teams. Your alliance can betray you in an instant if your the weak link. Or maybe, when its getting close to the end, and youre the strongest player in your alliance, they may simply vote you off, for fear of you voting them of, ornof winning. Cheers.

Feedback Question (compulsory):- If u were given the opportunity to Vote out either an Inactive Member or a Strong Member, who would u Vote out - I would vote. A strong member. This is simply because most inactives aren't always inactive,and especially during the end of the year where people are more busy. And the other reason, is that people have signed up to win. Being voted out is proof that you are strong, powerful, and feared. It's just how things work. On the other hand, voting out inactives gives you the chance to keep the game more fun. But mainly, I'm a sucker for teams and can't be disloyal, I love the Pikachus, and I want to help them as much as I can. I'm also a sucker for people who I know/nice to me XD.
Clearly its not "just how things work" because you made the choice to vote out the two strongest members. If you chose MizEileen, who has been on this site, but clearly not active, then wed have an interesting game.

Also it appears that being a weak player is the best idea, you stay active and dont get voted out for being too strong. You just pass under peoples radar and get to keep playing! Maybe i should weaken down my answers and timing?...

I'd also have appreciated though, if people had come up to me with their problems, as & when they had it. Anyways, lets get all the genuine issues, which I I think u might be having, out of the way first. Putting it in a spoiler.

1) The Event was supposed to go like it says - Amazing Duo, Teams of two, but after consulting with a few other Members, I decided not to do that. With so many people on the Event, Time Zones would have been a big issue. If we made duos based on same Time Zones, people who were nearer to my Time Zone, would have had an advantage. If we made duos with Members on opposite Time Zones, then again it would have been difficult on Challenges which would have required u to be around at the same time. It'd have also been very time consuming. I know u guys might have your own ideas of workaround methods & believe me, a lot were discussed, but those did not sound feasible, therefore we decided upon the current format.
This is not real life, this is a forum which has its limitations & everything cannot be replicated to perfection from a real life reality game show. Plz understand & respect that.
2) I know that ur Partners have mostly been irrelevant during the current Challenges. They are mosly there to "Pokemonize" the game, if I may put it that way. But I will make sure they play a part in at least some of the upcoming Challenges.
3) miragespot did register for the Event, but she never showed up again & neither did she confirm her participation, so I had to eliminate her. But since she did officially register, her name shows on the OP.
4) Voting is in ur hands, don't blame the host for keeping the inactive players in the game. They stayed around coz they were selected to be around by ur teams, I was not even involved in the voting process.
That did not take much did it, all u had to do is approach me with your concerns & they could have been sorted out. But complaining about it with each other, keeping me in the dark is not the way to go about it. I hope all your queries have been taken care of. If there are any more bring it up with me, PM me.

What if u were one of those inactive player, would u have liked being kicked out of the Event? And moreover, voting has always been in ur hands, if u don't want inactive players around, just vote them out, as simple as that.
And those of who are asking the Pikachus to vote out MizEileen coz she was inactive. Hey, she didn't take part in just one Challenge. If that's the case, then why did u guys not vote out Toucannon? He didn't take part in the Challenge either.
Like I said, I don't have any problem with the secret Group Chat, it was just a strategic move to save urselves, completely fine. But I do have a problem with a few things that have been said there.
I would request people not to repeatedly make references to what happened on Survivor & try to portray it in different light. Although the Thread isn't active, its still in the archives, so anyone can go & check what actually took place.
The behaviour of some members was found inappropriate in accordance with the rules & regulations of the Event, so they were asked to leave the Event (I could have said they were kicked out coz of their "intermittent bs" & coz they were behaving like complete tushie pits, but see I was very nice here). As a humble request, plz get off the Survivor Hangover. Thank you very much.
I must add though that those Members have improved a lot now, so kudos to that.
I also do not appreciate the repeated accusations thrown at me of being biased towards the Pikachus, feeding them the answers, not accepted at all. A team consisting mostly of newbies, won the Challenges, in spite of having more numbers & this even when your weakest links were eliminated, because were the better "team". U should have concentrated on doing the Challenges better.
And something one of u attempted (NOT Nonibros to be very clear), is going way out of line & I'm not sure if u realize or not, how serious it could have been. And its nothing to joke about. Guys, the only place to find the word "perfection" would be in the dictionary. I'm not expecting everyone to agree with everything & I'm not perfect either. I'll try my best not to indulge in any debate, but people will also stop feeling the need to debate on every single thing, even on issues that have already been done with or I will have to answer.

U are thinking as a contestant, easy for u to say, do this, do that. As a Host I have to listen to 34 different views (talking about the number of contestants on the Event), 36 if u count Nica & Dino, can't please everybody, so learn to suck up & move on sometimes, I do that too.
There's actually a very simple solution - vote them out, its in ur hands, no use raising those points repeatedly.
U cannot just say the three of u were active. What about people like NQ, Salzorrah, Flare, Lucina. Haven't they been active? And same for all the Pikachus, everyone has been very active & completing their Challenges on time, so again same question if ur votes are based on inactivity, why single out MizEileen & Risnionia, why not vote Toucannon?

They are inactive Chu, plain and simple.

Second, he has been active in every event, save this one for whatever reason. You can see, clearly, that even though Flare is active, no one has voted her out.

I'll be very honest here Nonibros, its ur cockiness that cost ur alliance (I'm talking about the Group Chat) to be broken & what u're doing now is called influencing voting, which is not allowed.
U are out coz a majority wants u out, that's it. There have been people who were more deserving than u, if not less, who have been eliminated, who did not complain, so stop being a sore loser, accept it & move on.
Also stop calling urself the best player, good maybe, but certainly not the best. That title should go to people like Aquacorde, NinjaQueen, LadyLucina (or even Linyit), who have been much more "active" & interactive than u & that's my opinion, deal with it.
Also, maybe u don't remember, but u & Nidoking were eliminated from the game, u much earlier, but lots of people have participated in all Challenges, so if its only based on "activity", they have been more "active" than u.

I don't care if the pikachus vote for me at any point in the race, bc someday they have to. Teaming up works only until a certain point.
Not sure what to think of anything now, but discussing things here on the event thread won't change much, I guess.

Aquacorde, 0 and DyingWillFlareon, you do have a point there.
But voting out the inactives won't work for a long time, because at some point there will only be active players in the race, so you'll have to vote for the strongest ones again. I don't think anyone is going to change their votes now, anyway.
As for the alliance thingy, I'm a bit confused right now. I think we can make an agreement regarding this. But you should know that I always will go after the strongest players and so will others do, I guess.
The only point in this discussion seems to be to make people change their votes, so 0 can stay in the event. I don't see any other benefit for anyone. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Also it is the same in real life, the ones who seem to the others as the biggest threat will be the first target of everyone else. Even though being unfair, thats how it works.

this is a good idea though, seriously, i would want to do this as well. when my name comes up for elimination, i'll say hey chu please give me three days, i want to try influence people to change their votes, because i want to be on the event. is this how it works?
i don't know why this talk about the best player. as far as i can remember we voted out 0 because he was our weakest player, not a strong one.
if we base this on how actively members participated on the event, me, aquacorde, dyingwillflareon, salzorrah and even ladylucina, because she was the last one eliminated, are the most active players because we have competed in every challenge so far.
the pikachus beat our teams in almost every challenge, so they should be considered better players too.
seven pikachus and five of us, which is twelve. this means that 0 and toucannon would be 13th and 14th. in no competition in any form can contestants in the 13th and 14th positions, in a field of 14 players be considered the best players.
We've had enough time, so I'm gonna end the Voting here. Like I said, if someone doesn't Vote on time, it'll be counted as a Self-Vote against them & I'll have to do that now.

Anyway I ended that alliance because I think it was a mistake. It looked like some drama was caused as a result and I didn't want it to continue. Nobody has been able to use the social group for a while.

Eh, we played a game on the Pokemon website. I was winning for a while with a massive score, and then Chu came in with a bigger score. Then at the end, Linyit beat my score, so she was safe, and then votes came up. We were debating whether its better to vote out strong vs inactive, and while I was going to vote strong, Aquacordes answer seemed legit, so I used that, and advocated for it, which Chu says was a rule not to do. Of course, he cannot verify it, but regardless, I did so anyway. In the end both the strongest and most inactive were voted out, with Mizeileen and me being the victors.
Oh, and another semi battle came up with Chu, but I have no motivation to battle on a useless fight. Hmmm, that's about it. People went one way, others when another, voting is over, and now its quite before the storm before the next challenge.
I don't think I missed much. Well, me and Aquacorde are cool now, so thats good and I didn't expect it. :)
