First, i was thinking we make Salamence a physical sweeper anyway. We could still make him a hit and run pokemon using Giga Impact. I will set it up in my game to see what does more. On the subject of Ninjask, you cannot always manipulate what your opponent does? If you dont let your opponent Mean Look you, then how do you stop your opponent from Mean Looking Ninjask? If the answer is switching him out, then that makes him inferior to Scizor, because Scizor wouldnt have to switch out.I want to hear a few more opinions from different people before i swich for Ninjask. Lets start making movesets for Salamence. Put the Nature and Item for Salamence also.
 
Well if Salamence is going to be a Hit and Run I recommend Draco Meteor.

Ninjask would never ever get Mean Looked. Very few Pokemon learn Mean Look and most aren't exactly fast (Umbreon and Dusknoir). Not even the speedy Gengar matches Ninjask's whooping 160 base speed stat.

Why would you want to switch out a Ninjask anyways? Baton Pass it so it can pass on it's Speed Boost (which is it's abilty that boosts its already insane speed by one stage). And of course you pass it onto a Pokemon that can counter the Mean Looker. Basically your opponent wastes a turn and you got a speedy Pokemon ready to attack and destroy it. Also why would anyone want to Mean Look a Ninjask. I'd want to kill it ASAP.

But then that is where the beauty all comes in. Ninjask has abilities to protect itself.

First turn use Substitute. It gets a Speed Boost and recovers HP with Leftovers. Next turn if Substitute is broken use Protect if not Swords Dance. Get another Speed Boost and Recover more HP from Leftovers. Choose to continue the pattern or Baton Pass it.

Ninjask there is basically untouchable if played right.

Battles aren't all about movesets and also about how well you predict your opponent.

As for Taunt Ninjask should never be in a situation like that. IF you know your opponent is going to Taunt you then Baton Pass it right away. Ninjask will go first due to his insane speed. For those who hate Taunt we can also drop Protect in favor of X-Scissor.
 
Ok punishment, i am going to tell you the major problem with Ninjask. If at any time Ninjask isnt protected by Substitute, and you use Sword Dance, then that is a move where you arnt protected. Subsitutes almost always die the first turn. A Ninjask is very easy to kill if its defences are ever let down. We could get just as much speed from Scizor if we used Agility. Plus you can only use substitue three times (-1/4 HP each use). These are some of the major pokemon that can learn Mean Look:

Gallade
Gardevoir
Dusknoir
Umbreon
Crobat

Many people run these pokemon. Personally, i think thats way to much to worry about, when instead you could just use Scizor. Its not worth it.
 
Well arguing is a good thing and we shall wait till other post their opinions. :)

Substitute is only in there to buy time for Speed boost to kick in every turn. That is why I have also chosen to include Protect so it buys time for Speed Boost and Leftovers recovery. Substitute should really be costing Ninjask 1/8 of its HP with the Leftovers recovery.

you only use a Swords Dance if your Sub hasnt shattered anyways. Passing speed alone to a Sweeper makes a huge difference.

Sure the Substitute can easily shatter but it saves Ninjask from status effects and buys it time for its abilty to kick in. If the opponent doesnt kill the Sub then great we can sneak in a Swords Dance.

As for the Mean Look arguement you are severely underlooking Ninjask's insane speed. Ninjask would have already Baton Passed a Speed Boost before any of those Pokemon you listed did a Mean Look. Quite frankly Ninjask is too fast for them.
 
Setting her arguing has been fun, but now it is getting old. After this, lets just decide on Salamence till the others get on. Why would you want to set there for six turns slowly gaining speed when you could just use Scizor's agility a couple of times. If you ever try to do Sword Dance or Agility with Ninjask, he is going to die probably, condidering he has a Def of 45. An also as i have said before, if the stituation should come up, Scizor could double as a physical sweeper. The only purpose Ninjask can serve is Baton Passer.

NOW, on to Salamence. Here is a moveset for him if he was a physical sweeper.

-Dragon Claw
-Shadow Claw
-Fly
-Thunder Fang

Dragon Claw for any dragon eneimies, Shadow Claw just as a filler. Fly for fighting or Bug. Thunder Fand for Milotics that will most likely be sent out to fight him.
 
Well Salamence needs Flamethrower/Fire Blast even if he was a Physical Sweeper to take care of those annoying Steel types which resist Dragon attacks.

Fly is a horrid move no offense. Why isn't DD in this set? What about Earthquke to take care of those annoying Metagross'. Dragon Claw could work.
 
I put fly there because i usually see him with it. I think fly is bad too. Earthquake is fine, but if we have earthquake, i dont think we need a fire attack. I would like to keep him as physical as possible. You know, keep him in his element. How about this?

Well Thunder Fang is fine with me but lets see what others think.

Salamence's base special isn't too shabby either.
 
Yeah, i know his special attack is pretty good, but with the right item and EV's, his attack would much better than his Sp Attack could be. We could make him a mixed sweeper. But if we did that then his EV's would have to be Max for Att and SpAtt. If we just focused on attack, then instead of Maxing his SpAtt, we could max his speed.
 
Um...*cough* Aerial Ace. Aerial Ace, in my opinion is the best flying attack. By the way, is this for Competitor?
 
We are making the best team possible as if we were competing, so we are following all the rules of competeing. Arial Ace is a good choice. Here is the moveset so far, if you want to put arial ace in, replace one of these moves.

Earthquake
Thunder Fang
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw

You are probably going to tell me to get rid of Thunder Fang. I put that in there so Salamence could take a chunk out of Milotic before we are Ice Beamed and Killed.
 
It would just be bad luck if Milotic was accidentally paralyzed though. Marvel Scale.
 
I dont think a Thunder Fang will do much to a Milotic. I've seen Milotic take a Thunderbolt from a Magenton and still have about 20%-25% health.

Yeah you definately do not want to set off Marvel Scale.
 
Speaking of which, how good is Magnezone? I've never tried it.

It is known as the Skarmory killer. Other then that I've personally never used one. I've gone against one and my Milotic Sweep it away with Surfs.

Hmm..Skarm killer, huh? Sounds like a pretty good reputation to me. I'd probably use it on a tank-proof team. Along with Banette with Skill Swap to stop those Resters.

That looks good enough. What about ice types? If Salamence is the last Pokemon, you might just be screwed. Unless it already has some DDs up.
 
Ah, just woke up. Didn't we decide on Scizzor? He's a Metagross support, but he is also helping our Salamence, right?
 
What if we decide not to give Scizor Iron Head? And I was saying if Salamence was the last Pokemon out.
